Among the thousands of leaf veins that held the secret of morning dew, a mysterious creature roamed the green stage. It danced there very casually, not screaming, not singing, let alone begging for attention. But silently, it managed to steal my heart.
It was a sharp-eyed spider, known in Latin as Oxyopes javanus, from the Oxyopidae family. When I first saw it, it felt like time stopped. I was so amazed by the charm of this creature.
Look at its tiny body, so beautiful, glistening like shards of glass dipped in sunlight. Its body was golden yellow. If you look closely, you can see a drop of honey resting on the leaf. Truly beautiful. This spider is so tiny, almost invisible. But its charm made it impossible to pass by.
When I first met it, it was walking on the surface of the leaf. I tried to photograph it in motion, but failed. It seemed as if it didn't want to be frozen in the picture. Or maybe he just wanted to play around with me first. Perhaps he was curious about my patience, so he was testing it first. Even so, I didn't give up easily, I kept trying and trying.
He played with me for quite a while. Finally, he stopped and stared into my camera. His sharp gaze seemed to say, "Hurry up and take my picture while I'm still standing." Without hesitation, I snapped the picture. Sure enough, he moved again shortly after.
