Hey everyone, wanted to give you some brief stats on achievement claims since we launched and announced it last week.
In total, we sent out 1005 Advent Calendar achievements, and out of those there were 334 claims. Not a bad amount considering the event occurred in December and a lot has happened since and it's only been 5 days since the announcement.
Out of the 334 claims;
86 were regular achievements
105 gold
37 diamond
107 Holo
Their weights, as a reminder, are
3 for regular
8 for gold
18 for diamond
25 for holo
so we if add them all together, it'd be
258 weight for regular
840 for gold
666 for diamond
2675 for Holo
So adding all those together gives us this a total weight of 4439, meaning at this time without any additional new achievement claims, it's easy to calculate how much of the daily 1,000 Zing you earn based of which achievement you have, you just take the weight on your achievement (example Holo:25) and divide it by 4439 which would be 0.0056%. This would equal to 5.6 Zing per day.
Okay now onto some other things.
I received a DM a few days ago, while I'm sure the offer and question came from good intentions, it rubbed me a little the wrong way because I would like the premise of our fairness of releasing the project and token to be known.
The person asked if the project could sell him a large amount of Zing off the counter so he could integrate the token into his own game and use it for giveaways and the likes, which is great and we welcome that activity. The only issue is that the project itself doesn't have any Zing. I.e. we don't create zing "out of thin air" to sell off to people to fund the project as that would be unfair to people who've been funding the project through delegations which currently is the only process we are receiving funding.
Creating Zing just to sell it would mean unfair inflation to delegators and liquidity providers and it would drop the value of Zing even more than whatever sell power currently is profiting from delegating to @zingtoken. While this is our only method of receiving funding at the moment and is quite limited, we do plan on offering sales shortly of our starter packs and healers which we hope will propel our funding forward to catch up on debt and potentially hire more people interested in working with the project to bring the pace of development up.
The only advantage in the initial release of the token went to POSH holders because POSH helped fund the initial stages of the game and in exchange received an equal amount of Zing tokens it still holds on the @poshtoken.wallet account. Other than that only delegators, stakers and liquidity providers receive issued Zing tokens and we don't plan on changing that any time soon and even if we were to consider that option we'd definitely discuss it with the community first.
Either way, just thought I'd remind people about that fact but at the same time bring forward the difference between Holozing and many other projects out there in the space. There's no extra tokens for founders, team members, etc, everyone contributing to the project is paid in Hive from delegation rewards or fiat exchanged from Hive. While this makes funding quite volatile based on the markets and people's decisions to delegate or not delegate, we hope it will be enough for the time being until we launch our starter sale and of course we hope that the sell pressure we may place on Hive to fund the project makes it back to the platform in different ways once the game is live and attracting players from all over the space.
Thanks for reading.
