Greetings to all lovers of handicrafts! I welcome you to my DC DIY workshop. Today we are going to paint some of the Holozing characters with wooden crayons in this composition I call Chirpily among feathers. Join me and I'll show you the creative process.

Lately, thanks to one of my Christmas gifts which was a box of wooden crayons special for painting mandalas, I have become interested in this technique of painting my drawings.
For this project I used: white opaline cardboard, pencil, eraser, black gel pen with 0.5 mm tip, wooden crayons in green, orange and red tones.
Últimamente, gracias a uno de mis regalos de navidad que fue una caja de crayones de madera especial para pintar mandalas, me he interesado por esta técnica de pintar mis dibujos.
Para este proyecto utilicé: Cartulina opalina de color blanco, lápiz, goma de borrar, bolígrafo de gel color negro punta 0.5 mm, crayones de madera en tonos verde, naranja y rojo.
I did the drawing, I didn't really change anything because my goal was the technique of painting the drawing so I wanted to keep the plumage and in that flying position I liked it quite a bit.
After I had the drawing in pencil, I started erasing the lines so that the color could cover the spaces well.
The first thing I painted was the tail. I took the orange crayon for the shadows, tangerine for the intermediate colors and yellow for the highlights. I painted the background in that order. Then with the orange crayon I made strokes in the color on color technique to simulate the feathers. Then I did the same with the pencil.
Hice el dibujo, realmente no cambié nada porque mi objetivo era la técnica de pintar el dibujo así que quise conservar el plumaje y en esa posición de vuelo me gustó bastante.
Luego de tener el dibujo a lápiz, comencé borrando las líneas para que el color pudiera cubrir buen los espacios.
Lo primero que pinté fue la cola. Tomé el crayón naranja para las sombras, el mandarina para los colores intermedios y el amarillo para las luces. Pinté el fondo en ese orden. Luego con el crayón naranja hice trazos en la técnica color sobre color para simular las plumas. Luego hice lo mismo con el lápiz.
The part I enjoyed the most were the wings. With the same technique of color on color and using 4 different shades of green I was shaping the wings.
La parte que más disfruté fueron las alas. Con la misma técnica de color sobre color y utilizando 4 tonos de verde diferentes fui dandole forma a las alas.
Respecting the colors of the original design of Chirpily, I painted the beak and chest helping to mark the plumage and the angle of the beak with the black crayon.
I like how little by little it takes the shape of the plumage.
Respetando los colores del diseño original de Chirpily, pinté el pico y el pecho ayudando a marcar el plumaje y el angulo del pico con el crayón de color negro.
Me gusta como poco a poco toma la forma del plumaje.
I followed part by part.

When I was done with Chirpily, I did the feathers around it. I wanted to make it look like he released some feathers as he flew because of his speed. So I placed some in front and some further back.
With the pen I made the lines of the feather that was closer and with pencil the farthest ones.
Cuando terminé con Chirpily, hice las plumas alrededor. Quería que pareciera que al volar soltó algunas plumas por su velocidad. Así que coloqué unas adelante y otras más atrás.
Con el bolígrafo hice las líneas de la pluma que estaba mas cerca y con lápiz las más lejanas.

I was satisfied with the final result. I really liked how the plumage of this friend looks ready to be captured.
Quedé satisfecha con el resultado final. Me gustó mucho como se ve el plumaje de este amigo que está listo para ser capturado.
