Greetings Holozing friends. The other day I shared with you a Cinella sculpture. It was the first one I made from Holozing for a while. That's why I decided to make her evolution, Cinelara.

This character represents a challenge because it is much more complicated than Cinella; however, this did not stop me and I got to work. That's why I would like you to join me to see the step by step of this beautiful figure.

Saludos amigos de Holozing. El otro día compartí con ustedes una escultura de Cinella. Era la primera que hacía de Holozing desde hace un tiempo. Por eso me animé a hacer su evolución, Cinelara.

Este personaje representa un reto porque es mucho más complicado que Cinella; sin embargo, esto no me detuvo y puse manos a la obra. Por eso me gustaría que me acompañaran a ver el paso a paso de esta hermosa figura.

Step by step

The first thing I did was to select the plasticine I would use, which in this case is black and red plasticine, the base colors of this character.

I started with what would be Cinelara's abdomen. Its shape reminds me a lot of a bee, although it is theoretically different, since it comes from what would be a catarina. With this in mind, I made that part, the abdomen, I only made it with two pieces of plasticine, one black and one red, then I made a shape similar to a handle, with the two colors mentioned.

Paso a paso

Lo primero que hice fue seleccionar la plastilina que utilizaría, que en este caso es plastilina negra y roja, los colores bases de este personaje.

Comencé con lo que sería el abdomen de Cinelara. Su forma me recuerda mucho a la de una abeja, aunque es en teoría diferente, ya que proviene de lo que sería una catarina. Con esto en mente, hice esa parte, el abdomen, solo lo hice con dos trozos de plastilina, uno negro y otro rojo, luego hice una forma parecida a un mango, con los dos colores mencionados.

After making the abdomen and chest I made the legs and arms. These were very small so I used wire for the arms to attach them to the chest.

I used two wooden sticks and painted them black to match Cinelara's thighs. With these sticks I attached the legs to the rest of the abdomen, and with the wire I attached the little arms of the insect to the torso.

Después de hacer el abdomen y el pecho hice las piernas y los brazos. Estos eran muy pequeños así que usé alambre para los brazos y poder fijarlos en el pecho.

Usé dos palillos de madera y los pinté de color negro para que fuese igual a los muslos de Cinelara. Con estos palillos fijé las piernas al resto del abdomen, igual que con el alambre fijé en el torso los bracitos del insecto.

You can see that the character can stand upright, this is because of the flat shape of the legs. In the same way I placed the two little black feet that the character has, the light skin colored knees and a pair of red shoulder pads.

In the same way I made the head, which is something more like a red helmet with a visor. You can see it in the image on the right.

Pueden ver que el personaje se puede mantener de pie, esto es por la forma plana de las patas. De igual manera coloqué los dos piecitos de color negro que tiene el personaje, las rodillas de color piel clara y un par de hombreras de color rojo.

De la misma manera hice la cabeza, que es algo más parecido a un casco rojo con visor. Pueden verlo en la imagen de la derecha.

The wings were also a bit complicated to make. I made two sheets of plasticine in the shape of a bean. These would be the protective covers and the wing as such is the one you see in white, but these I didn't make with plasticine, this time I used paper as a base material and a pencil to draw the lines.

After I had the wings, I glued the wings to the covers with glue. Then I glued the two wings with the cover on the back of the character.

Las alas también fueron un poco complicadas de hacer. Hice dos láminas de plastilina con forma de frijol. Estas serían las cubiertas protectoras y el ala como tal es la que ven de color blanco, pero estas no las hice con plastilina, esta vez utilicé papel como material base y un lápiz para dibujar las líneas.

Después de tener las alas, pegué las alas a las cubiertas con pegamento. Luego pegué las dos alas con la cubierta en la espalda del personaje.

Finally I made the eyes and painted the spots that the character has along his body, on the legs, on the wing covers and on the sides of the head.

Finalmente le hice los ojos y pinté las manchas que tiene el personaje a lo largo de su cuerpo, en las piernas, en las cubiertas de las alas y a los lados de la cabeza.
