They’re so shiny!
Hey HoloZing community! 💫 Today I want to share my latest creation: a fanart illustration of the light healer. ✨ I’ve been wanting to paint this serene and charismatic character for a while now… and I finally did it!
I know the glowing halo I added over her head probably won’t be used in the official game, but I loved how it looked so much that I decided to keep it. I also gave her a more relaxed vibe by placing that huge hat on her head. To make the scene even more special, I paired her with Wrackoo in his Radiant Holomax form—his iridescent colors contrast beautifully with the healer’s softness! Plus, I rarely see fanart of Holos in this transformation, and honestly, it’s pretty tricky to pull off that light-reflection effect when painting them.
🔮 Looks great as a trading card!
I also wanted to experiment a bit, so I added the card frame from the game to see what it would look like if this artwork was actually part of HoloZing’s universe… and honestly, the result really impressed me. You can see the final illustration at the end of the post 👇
🧠 TOOLS USED:
- Photoshop (as always, my digital salvation).
- Brushes: my trusty brush pack, with a few new ones featuring glitter effects
- Soundtrack: Any Aurora's Songs ❕
- Resolution: 3000x3000 px
(Thx to @holozing for such adorable creatures to bring to life!)

⏰ CREATIVE PROCESS
✏️ Phase 1: Sketch & Lineart
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to give them a relaxed but elegant pose. The expressiveness of their faces and the warm aura were essential, so I focused first on the silhouette and the overall gesture. But for the very first draft, I wanted to keep it fun—within a minute, I sketched both characters, and the result was… whatever that weird thing pretending to be Wrackoo is. Honestly, he looks like he’s on drugs or something. 😅

🎨 Phase 2: Base Colors
As usual, I separated each element of the characters into layers to define the soft tones of the Healer’s flowing white clothes and the more vibrant ones of Wrackoo. The composition was starting to take shape, although Wrackoo’s colors were all wrong at that point—but at least they served as a reference to know which elements were on the same layer.

🌗 Phase 3: Skin and Colorful Fur
I went straight into working on the Healer’s face, using the Soft Light blending mode to gradually accentuate the shadows and give her some volume. Her face slowly came to life, with striking yellow eyes contrasted by her dark pink lips.
Once her face was done, I focused on Wrackoo—starting by applying his correct colors, especially around his neck and eyebrows, since those areas are the most vibrant. With a soft brush and the Multiply mode, I shaped his form to feel round and full. I even gave him a bigger smile to make him look happier—because while the Healer is beautiful, Wrackoo totally steals the scene with his charisma.

🌟 Phase 4: Final Touches
Wrackoo was already finished, the Healer’s face was done, and her hair was about 70% complete, so in my mind I thought, “This is a piece of cake, just a bit more and I’m done.” But of course… things are never that simple. I’ve always given Holozing artworks special attention, and this one was no exception. I went full-on rendering mode, and even then, there are still little things that could’ve turned out better.
The background and the Healer’s outfit took time, especially because I wanted everything to feel cohesive and well-integrated into the scene, with proper volume and shading.
To highlight Wrackoo’s joy, I added sparkles around him and used Vivid Light blending mode to really push the brightness of his body. I definitely want to paint more Holos in this evolution phase—they’re just too fun to work with!
