Hello everyone, I hope you are well, today I want to share with you a drawing of Whale, one of the main monsters of the game Holozing, belonging to the water type. Its design reminded me of Kyogre, the legendary Pokémon, which brought back fond memories of my early days playing on the GameBoy.

To bring this illustration to life, I looked for references of whales with a similar style. During my creative process, I was inspired by Kyogre's aesthetic to develop my own version of a water-type whale. After exploring various images on Pinterest, I found a visual reference that fascinated me and decided to capture my interpretation in this drawing. I will show you some images of the creation process.

Hola a todos, espero se encuentren bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo de Whale, uno de los monstruos principales del juego Holozing, perteneciente al tipo agua. Su diseño me recordo a Kyogre, el legendario Pokémon, lo que me trajo gratos recuerdos de mis primeros días jugando en el GameBoy.

Para dar vida a esta ilustración, busqué referencias de ballenas con un estilo similar. Durante mi proceso creativo, me inspiré en la estética de Kyogre para desarrollar mi propia versión de una ballena de tipo agua. Tras explorar diversas imágenes en Pinterest, encontré una referencia visual que me fascinó y decidí plasmar mi interpretación en este dibujo. Les mostraré algunas imágenes del proceso de creación.

Process

In the sketching stage, I focused on capturing the distinctive characteristics of Kyogre, the iconic Pokémon, using a series of guide lines to establish his structure and style with precision. Once I achieved the desired result, I merged these elements with Whale's design, creating a unique version that captures the essence of both.

The first colors I applied were the background of the sea and then I applied the color to the main character of this post.

En la etapa de bocetado, me concentré en plasmar las características distintivas de Kyogre, el icónico Pokémon, utilizando una serie de líneas guía para establecer su estructura y estilo con precisión. Una vez que logré el resultado esperado, fusioné estos elementos con el diseño de Whale, creando una versión única que captura la esencia de ambos.

En los primeros colores que aplique fue el fondo del mar para luego ir aplicando el color al personaje principal de este post.
