Hello everyone, today I feel especially excited because I have finished a new illustration that has left me very satisfied. It is inspired by a very particular character called Xolobis, a mystical dog that is part of the Holozing videogame universe. This drawing is my second interpretation of Xolobis.

The name Xolobis is a mixture with intention: it is inspired by the Egyptian god Anubis, symbol of protection and spiritual guide, and the word “bis”, common in some role-playing games, where it is associated with being “the best in his category”. Thus is born a name that reflects both power and character.

What I enjoyed most in creating this illustration was capturing the intensity of his gaze and playing with the color palette to convey his essence. To achieve this, I looked for visual references to help me shape it. I based it on a Pokémon named Poochyena. Browsing Pinterest I found an image that captured my attention, and that was the spark that ignited the creative process.

Hola a todos, hoy me siento especialmente emocionado porque he finalizado una nueva ilustración que me ha dejado muy satisfecho. Está inspirada en un personaje muy particular llamado Xolobis, un perro místico que forma parte del universo del videojuego Holozing. Este dibujo es mi segunda interpretación de Xolobis.

El nombre Xolobis es una mezcla con intención: se inspira en el dios egipcio Anubis, símbolo de protección y guía espiritual, y la palabra “bis”, común en algunos juegos de rol, donde se asocia con ser “el mejor en su categoría”. Así nace un nombre que refleja tanto poder como carácter.

Lo que más disfruté al crear esta ilustración fue captar la intensidad de su mirada y jugar con la paleta de colores para transmitir su esencia. Para lograrlo, busqué referencias visuales que me ayudaran a darle forma. Me basé en un Pokémon llamado Poochyena. Navegando por Pinterest encontré una imagen que capturó mi atención, y esa fue la chispa que encendió el proceso creativo.
