Hello everyone and welcome to my art blog! My name is Lorentm, and I’m a passionate digital artist who loves transforming characters into unique and creative interpretations. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you my latest piece based on one of the characters from @holozing. For this project, I chose Zingu, and I decided to give her a special twist: turning her into a humanized female version in anime style.
Zingu is an adorable and charming penguin-like character with an aura of both cuteness and strength. Her design has always fascinated me because of the way her icy elements blend with her lively personality. Translating that into a human version was a fun challenge—I wanted to preserve her essence while adding details that make her shine in a completely new way.
Working on this artwork made me feel deeply connected to the character. Every brushstroke felt like bringing Zingu’s cheerful and adventurous spirit to life, letting her jump off the screen in a more relatable form. I pictured her as a brave and fun-loving girl who loves enjoying a bright day with her favorite ice cream in hand.
I’m also incredibly grateful to @acidyo and @holozing for continuously supporting my art. Their encouragement pushes me to explore new creative horizons and share my passion with all of you.
¡Hola a todos y bienvenidos a mi blog de arte! Mi nombre es Lorentm, y soy una apasionada artista digital que ama transformar personajes en interpretaciones únicas y creativas. Hoy estoy muy emocionada de compartir con ustedes mi última obra inspirada en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Para este proyecto elegí a Zingu, y decidí darle un giro especial: convertirla en una versión humanizada femenina al estilo anime.
Zingu es un personaje adorable y encantador con forma de pingüino, con un aura que combina ternura y fortaleza. Su diseño siempre me ha fascinado por la forma en que sus elementos helados se mezclan con su personalidad tan alegre. Traducir eso a una versión humana fue un reto divertido: quería conservar su esencia y al mismo tiempo añadir detalles que la hicieran brillar de una manera completamente nueva.
Trabajar en esta obra me hizo sentir muy conectada con el personaje. Cada pincelada fue como dar vida al espíritu alegre y aventurero de Zingu, dejándola saltar de la pantalla en una forma más cercana y humana. La imaginé como una chica valiente y divertida, que disfruta de un día radiante con su helado favorito en la mano.
También estoy muy agradecida con @acidyo y @holozing por apoyar continuamente mis obras. Su motivación me impulsa a explorar nuevos horizontes creativos y a compartir mi pasión con todos ustedes.
The humanized version of Zingu retains her original charm but reimagines her in a playful, vibrant anime form. Her dark blue hair flows with a lively, slightly messy style, and her golden-yellow headpiece with a crystal gem stands out like a crown of ice. Her outfit is inspired by a penguin’s body, featuring a dark navy dress with a white chest area, paired with thigh-high socks shaped like flippers for a whimsical touch.
The crystalline blue wings on her back are a direct nod to her frosty origins, giving her a magical and adventurous vibe. Her big, bright eyes radiate energy and fun, perfectly capturing the joy of her personality. To complete the scene, she’s holding a light-blue ice cream cone—because even ice queens deserve a sweet treat!
La versión humanizada de Zingu conserva su encanto original, pero la reinventa en una forma alegre y vibrante al estilo anime. Su cabello azul oscuro fluye con un estilo vivo y ligeramente despeinado, y su pieza dorada con una gema de cristal destaca como una corona de hielo. Su atuendo está inspirado en el cuerpo de un pingüino, con un vestido azul marino y un área blanca en el pecho, acompañado de medias largas que imitan aletas, dándole un toque divertido.
Las alas de cristal azul en su espalda son una referencia directa a sus orígenes helados, aportándole una vibra mágica y aventurera. Sus grandes ojos brillantes transmiten energía y diversión, capturando a la perfección la alegría de su personalidad. Para completar la escena, sostiene un helado azul claro, porque incluso las reinas de hielo merecen un dulce capricho.
Process / Proceso
I began by making a loose sketch to define the pose and proportions, aiming to keep her dynamic and full of life. I wanted her to look like she was jumping with excitement, just as Zingu’s playful nature suggests.
Next, I moved to the line art, carefully refining every curve and detail to ensure her personality came through in the final outline. This stage is where her joyful expression and unique accessories began to truly take shape.
Then came the base colors. I selected a palette that reflected her icy origins—deep blues, light aquas, and a touch of gold. These colors immediately brought the character to life, giving her both warmth and freshness.
Adding shadows gave the artwork depth and dimension, emphasizing movement and the folds of her dress, hair, and accessories. I paid special attention to keeping the light source consistent to maintain realism within the anime style.
The highlights were next, breathing even more energy into the piece. The crystal elements, her hair, and the ice cream received extra sparkle, making her shine as if bathed in the glow of a frozen sunset.
Finally, I worked on the background. I chose an icy landscape with a magical twilight sky, keeping it simple but beautiful so the focus would remain on the character while still creating an immersive scene.
Comencé realizando un boceto suelto para definir la pose y las proporciones, buscando mantenerla dinámica y llena de vida. Quería que pareciera estar saltando de emoción, tal como sugiere la naturaleza juguetona de Zingu.
Luego pasé al delineado, refinando con cuidado cada curva y detalle para que su personalidad se reflejara en el contorno final. En esta etapa, su expresión alegre y sus accesorios únicos comenzaron a cobrar verdadera forma.
Después añadí los colores base. Seleccioné una paleta que reflejara sus orígenes helados: azules profundos, aguamarinas claras y un toque de dorado. Estos colores dieron vida al personaje de inmediato, aportándole frescura y calidez.
Agregar sombras le dio al dibujo profundidad y dimensión, resaltando el movimiento y los pliegues de su vestido, cabello y accesorios. Presté especial atención a mantener la fuente de luz coherente para conservar el realismo dentro del estilo anime.
Los brillos fueron el siguiente paso, aportando aún más energía a la pieza. Los elementos de cristal, su cabello y el helado recibieron un toque extra de luz, haciéndola brillar como si estuviera bañada por el resplandor de un atardecer helado.
Finalmente, trabajé en el fondo. Elegí un paisaje helado con un cielo crepuscular mágico, manteniéndolo sencillo pero hermoso para que el foco principal siguiera siendo el personaje, mientras se creaba una escena inmersiva.

Creating this piece was an incredibly fun and fulfilling experience. Bringing Zingu into a humanized anime style allowed me to explore her personality in new ways while keeping her original essence intact. I hope this artwork makes you smile as much as it did for me while creating it.

Crear esta obra fue una experiencia increíblemente divertida y gratificante. Llevar a Zingu a un estilo anime humanizado me permitió explorar su personalidad de nuevas maneras, manteniendo intacta su esencia original. Espero que esta ilustración les saque una sonrisa, tanto como a mí me la dio el proceso de creación.
