Hello everyone! I’m lorentm, a digital artist passionate about bringing characters to life through anime-inspired illustrations. Welcome once again to my art blog, where I share my creative journey with you all. Today, I’m beyond excited to show you a new piece I’ve been working on, based on one of the fascinating characters from the universe of @holozing.
This time, I decided to create a fan art of Tiderox, the evolved form of Tiderion — the water dragon from @holozing. I wanted to explore her essence in a unique way by giving her a humanized and feminine twist. The idea of transforming a majestic aquatic dragon into an anime-style warrior really inspired me creatively.
As I worked on the design, I imagined Tiderox as a powerful yet serene character, someone who carries the strength of the ocean with elegance and confidence. Her design had to reflect both her elemental nature and her evolution — a balance between water’s calm and its unstoppable force.

Bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog de arte, donde comparto con ustedes mi viaje creativo. Hoy estoy muy emocionada de mostrarles una nueva obra en la que he estado trabajando, basada en uno de los fascinantes personajes del universo de @holozing.
En esta ocasión, decidí realizar un fan art de Tiderox, la forma evolucionada de Tiderion, el dragón de agua de @holozing. Quise explorar su esencia de una manera diferente, dándole un giro humanizado y femenino. La idea de transformar a un majestuoso dragón acuático en una guerrera con estilo anime me inspiró muchísimo.
Mientras trabajaba en su diseño, imaginé a Tiderox como un personaje poderoso pero sereno, alguien que lleva la fuerza del océano con elegancia y confianza. Su diseño tenía que reflejar tanto su naturaleza elemental como su evolución, un equilibrio entre la calma del agua y su fuerza imparable.

Tiderox, in her humanized form, wears a sleek, ocean-toned outfit that hugs her form while remaining practical for movement, symbolizing fluidity and grace. Her clothes are a mix of blues, with a touch of magenta wrapping around her waist like a sash, mimicking the flow of water currents.
Her long, flowing hair is the color of glacial water, and her eyes glow with determination, showing she’s not just elegance but also strength. She has prominent aquatic traits: a pair of fin-like ears and sleek, coral-shaped horns that hint at her draconic origin. A powerful tail extends behind her, covered in shimmering hues that blend pink and blue — a reminder of her deep sea nature.
Her high boots add a touch of combat-readiness to her otherwise ethereal appearance. Every element in her design is a nod to her origin as a guardian of the ocean — fierce, mystical, and proud.
Tiderox, en su forma humanizada, viste un atuendo ceñido en tonos oceánicos que abraza su figura y le permite moverse con fluidez, simbolizando la elegancia y la gracia del agua. Su vestimenta combina azules con un toque de magenta que se enrolla en su cintura como un cinturón, simulando las corrientes marinas.
Su cabello largo y fluido tiene el color del agua glaciar, y sus ojos brillan con determinación, dejando en claro que no solo es elegancia, sino también fuerza. Posee rasgos acuáticos prominentes: un par de orejas con forma de aletas y unos elegantes cuernos que recuerdan al coral, señal clara de su origen dracónico. Detrás de ella, una poderosa cola se extiende cubierta en tonalidades brillantes de rosa y azul, evocando su conexión con las profundidades marinas.
Sus botas altas añaden un toque de preparación para el combate, contrastando con su apariencia etérea. Cada elemento en su diseño es un homenaje a su origen como guardiana del océano: feroz, mística y orgullosa.
Process / Proceso
The creative process began with a rough sketch. At this stage, I focused on getting her pose and silhouette right — something dynamic and grounded that would reflect her strength. I played with different ideas for the placement of her tail and the shape of the horns, ensuring they added balance to the composition.
Once the sketch was finalized, I moved on to the lineart. I opted for clean, confident lines with a bit of variation in thickness to enhance the flow of her hair and the folds in her clothes. This step helped give the character structure and personality.
Coloring was probably my favorite part. I wanted her palette to evoke both the cold mystery of the deep sea and the vibrant life it holds. Blues, cyans, and purples dominate the palette, with that splash of magenta to create contrast and draw the eye to her center.
Then came the shadows — soft yet intentional. I placed them to emphasize the depth of her features and the texture of the outfit. The tail in particular received extra attention, with gradient shading to suggest its smooth, scaly surface.
Highlights added life and movement. I added them to her hair, eyes, and the edges of her outfit, mimicking how light dances on the ocean surface. They brought a magical energy to the whole piece.
Finally, I worked on the background. I went for a stylized ocean wave backdrop with soft lighting and cool colors, framing her presence without distracting from the main focus. It feels like she’s emerging from the sea, ready for battle or diplomacy.
El proceso creativo comenzó con un boceto. En esta etapa, me concentré en lograr una pose dinámica y firme que reflejara su fuerza. Jugué con distintas ideas para la colocación de su cola y la forma de los cuernos, asegurándome de que equilibraran bien la composición.
Una vez definido el boceto, pasé al delineado. Opté por líneas limpias y seguras, con algunas variaciones de grosor para acentuar el movimiento del cabello y los pliegues de la ropa. Este paso le dio estructura y personalidad al personaje.
La parte del color fue probablemente mi favorita. Quise que su paleta evocara tanto el misterio frío del océano profundo como la vida vibrante que contiene. Los azules, cianes y púrpuras dominan, mientras que el magenta en la cintura añade contraste y guía la atención hacia el centro de la figura.
Luego trabajé las sombras, suaves pero estratégicas. Las coloqué para acentuar la profundidad en sus rasgos y dar textura a su vestimenta. La cola recibió especial atención, con sombreados en degradado que simulan su superficie escamosa y brillante.
Los brillos aportaron vida y movimiento. Los añadí en el cabello, los ojos y los bordes del atuendo, imitando cómo la luz del sol se refleja en la superficie del mar. Le dieron un toque mágico a toda la ilustración.
Finalmente, trabajé en el fondo. Elegí un paisaje estilizado de olas marinas con iluminación suave y colores fríos, enmarcando su presencia sin robar protagonismo. Da la sensación de que emerge del océano, lista para la batalla o la diplomacia.

Creating this piece was an enriching and fun experience. I felt deeply connected to the world of Holozing and wanted to show my respect through a piece that highlights the strength and beauty of one of its dragons, reimagined as a powerful woman.

Crear esta ilustración fue una experiencia enriquecedora y muy divertida. Me sentí profundamente conectada con el mundo de Holozing y quise rendirle homenaje con una obra que resaltara la fuerza y la belleza de uno de sus dragones, reinterpretado como una mujer poderosa.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
