Hello everyone! I’m lorentm, a digital artist and enthusiast of vibrant characters and immersive worlds. I’m super excited to share with you my latest fan art based on one of the characters from @holozing. Today, I bring you a special creation that’s been really fun to work on!
This time I decided to create an anime-style illustration of Miu Miu, the evolved form of Miu. Miu Miu is fierce, adorable, and full of personality — she has this blend of elegance and mischief that instantly caught my attention. I knew I wanted to push her concept further and imagine what she’d be like in a humanized female version.
Designing Miu Miu was an adventure in itself. I wanted to maintain the essence of her original form — her wild, determined expression, her fluffy tail, and that overall “don’t-mess-with-me” vibe — while translating it into a more expressive, human-like style. I found it incredibly rewarding to bring her personality to life in this new version.

¡Hola a todos! Soy lorentm, una artista digital apasionada por los personajes vibrantes y los mundos imaginativos. Estoy muy emocionada de compartir con ustedes mi más reciente fan art basado en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Hoy les traigo una creación muy especial que disfruté muchísimo hacer.
Esta vez decidí ilustrar a Miu Miu en estilo anime. Miu Miu es la evolución de Miu: es feroz, adorable y está llena de personalidad. Tiene esa mezcla perfecta entre elegancia y picardía que me atrapó desde el primer momento. Sentí la necesidad de explorar su concepto más a fondo y reimaginarla como una versión femenina humanizada.
Diseñar a Miu Miu fue toda una aventura. Quise mantener la esencia de su forma original —su mirada determinada, su esponjosa cola y esa vibra de “mejor no te metas conmigo”— pero llevándolo a un estilo más humano y expresivo. Fue un proceso muy gratificante ver cómo su personalidad tomaba vida en esta nueva forma.

Miu Miu in this version has a strong, rebellious personality, and I tried to reflect that through every detail. Her expression is intense and full of emotion — slightly annoyed but determined, the kind of face you make when someone messes with your ramen! I gave her long, wild gray hair that mirrors her original fur, and of course, her cat ears and fluffy tail remain iconic elements of her design.
She wears an oversized navy hoodie and black shorts, a look that’s both comfy and modern, perfect for someone with a strong attitude but a chill vibe. Her hands clutch chopsticks in frustration, which adds a comedic twist to the scene — she’s clearly ready for a battle... with noodles!
En esta versión, Miu Miu tiene una personalidad fuerte y rebelde, y traté de reflejar eso en cada detalle. Su expresión es intensa y está cargada de emoción —ligeramente molesta pero decidida, ¡como cuando te interrumpen mientras comes ramen! Le di un cabello largo y alborotado color gris, que imita la textura de su pelaje original, y por supuesto, mantuve sus orejas felinas y su característica cola esponjosa.
Viste una sudadera azul marino de gran tamaño y shorts negros, un look cómodo y moderno, ideal para alguien con actitud firme pero estilo relajado. Sostiene los palillos con frustración, lo que le da un toque cómico a la escena —¡está claramente lista para luchar... contra sus fideos!
Process / Proceso
I started the piece with a rough sketch, focusing on posture, facial expression, and the general silhouette. I wanted her to feel grounded, casual, and expressive. This early stage helps me visualize the energy of the character before diving into the details.
Once I was happy with the sketch, I moved to the lineart. Here, I refined the hair, the folds in her hoodie, the sharpness in her eyes, and of course, the fluffy texture of her tail and ears. Clean lines are key for achieving that anime-style look that pops!
Coloring came next. I chose a soft but bold palette — cooler tones for her outfit and warmer highlights in her hair to give contrast and volume. I used subtle gradients to blend the shades and to give her skin a natural, lively tone.
Then came the shading. I added depth to the folds of the clothing, stronger shadows around her face and neck, and dramatic highlights to her hair. This step really brought her to life and helped emphasize her expression and form.
For the lighting, I focused on soft glows and light reflection, especially on her hair and the steaming bowl of noodles. These little details add that extra sparkle and energy.
Finally, I created the background. It’s made up of a collage of my previous artworks, slightly blurred and colorful, to frame the character and give context without distracting from the main focus. It felt like a playful way to connect past creations with this new one.
Comencé la pieza con un boceto básico, concentrándome en la postura, la expresión facial y la silueta general. Quería que se sintiera natural, casual y expresiva. Esta etapa inicial me ayuda a visualizar la energía del personaje antes de entrar en los detalles.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pasé al delineado. En esta fase afiné el cabello, los pliegues de la sudadera, la intensidad de su mirada, y por supuesto, la textura esponjosa de su cola y orejas. Las líneas limpias son clave para lograr ese estilo anime tan llamativo.
Luego vino el color. Elegí una paleta suave pero con fuerza — tonos fríos para su vestimenta y reflejos cálidos en el cabello para dar contraste y volumen. Usé degradados sutiles para fusionar los tonos y dar a su piel un aspecto natural y lleno de vida.
Después apliqué las sombras. Añadí profundidad en los pliegues de la ropa, sombras más marcadas en el rostro y cuello, y toques de luz dramáticos en el cabello. Esta etapa realmente dio vida al personaje y ayudó a enfatizar su expresión y forma.
Para los brillos, me centré en reflejos suaves y toques de luz especialmente en el cabello y el vapor del tazón de fideos. Estos detalles pequeños aportan un brillo especial y una energía única a la ilustración.
Finalmente, creé el fondo. Está compuesto por un collage de obras anteriores, ligeramente desenfocadas y coloridas, que enmarcan al personaje y dan contexto sin restarle protagonismo. Sentí que era una forma divertida de conectar mis creaciones pasadas con esta nueva versión.

Creating this piece was so much fun! I love bringing characters to life and imagining new ways they could exist in different forms. Miu Miu’s human version feels fierce, relatable, and full of charm — and I hope you enjoyed this reinterpretation as much as I enjoyed making it.

Materials / Materiales
The tools I used for the drawing were the following:
- Android tablet.
- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
