We're back with a new fan art! After some time, we've reunited with our brave protagonist, the Forest Healer. Something fun: this will be the first time I draw her in a forest—I can't believe it hadn't occurred to me before. For this drawing, I'll be using Photoshop.
Regresamos con un nuevo fan art. Después de este tiempo, recuperamos a nuestra protagonista, la valiente Forest Healer, y algo divertido es que será la primera vez que la dibuje en un bosque. No entiendo cómo no se me había ocurrido antes. Para mi dibujo estaré usando Photoshop.
And we’re starting with the body base sketch. I’ll be using her pose from the official art, but making it more stylized—more anime-like—and without hiding her hands. A real challenge, haha!
Y arrancamos con el boceto de la base del cuerpo. Estaré usando la pose que tiene en su arte oficial, pero haciéndola más estilizada y con un estilo más animé, y sin ocultar las manos. Todo un reto jajaja.
After the base, I begin the second sketch where I’ll be adding details one by one—from the top of the body down to the feet. I’ll leave the hair for last, since it’s always a bit tricky for me to draw and give it enough expressiveness.
Después de la base, comienzo con el segundo boceto, donde iré dando los detalles uno a uno desde la parte superior del cuerpo hasta los pies. Dejaré para el final el cabello, que siempre me cuesta un poco dibujar y lograr suficiente expresividad.
And here’s the finished sketch! Hands and accessories included—I especially liked the outfit. Now comes cleaning up the lines I won’t be using, something I’ll do easily since I’ve been working on separate layers for each part of the body.
Y así quedó todo el boceto final, manos y accesorios incluidos. Me gustó sobre todo la ropa. Ahora viene limpiar las líneas que no usaré, algo que haré con facilidad ya que he estado usando capas distintas para cada parte del cuerpo.
Almost forgot the hair—so I tried to do my best, and here’s the final result. I liked it quite a bit, though there's still room to improve.
Se me olvidaba el pelo, así que traté de dar lo mejor de mí y este fue el resultado final. Me gustó bastante, aunque hay margen de mejora.
Now with clean lines, I’m ready for the line art. I’ll be drawing it in black and very fine, to further stylize the figure. There are still things to fix from the sketch, but I’ll adjust directly on the final line work.

We lay down a block of solid color to separate the character from the background—and voilà! Time to color section by section. In the first phase, no shadows or highlights—just solid color fills for each part of the drawing.
Pintamos un bloque de color sólido para diferenciar el personaje del fondo, y listo. A colorear sección por sección. En una primera parte, nada de sombras ni luces, solo coloreado sólido de los distintos elementos del dibujo.
I really liked the choice of solid colors—I think it looks very, very good this way. But let’s add a bit of lighting and shadows. We also need to work on some details to help the character blend better into the background.
Me gustó mucho la elección de colores sólidos, y creo que se ve muy muy bien así. Pero vamos a añadirle un poco de luces y sombras. Además, tenemos que ir trabajando en detalles que le permitirán integrarse más al fondo del dibujo.
