Hello everyone!
Today there are some latest updates shared about @holozing. As the game is still in development, it's only officially announced for a couple of weeks, I can't really talk about the gameplay in depth. BUT I would like to talk about my point of view in regards to the latest updates. This time I will talk about Hive onboarding through Holozing, yes, you read it right! Besides onboarding, I'll touch on the point of curation as well. Let's now dive straight into the world of Holozing!
Onboarding
Onboarding on Hive, it's easy to understand but rather difficult to execute, and even harder to keep those new members active. But that's another story and hasn't anything to do with Holozing. Onboarding is something a lot of projects on Hive are preaching. Ofcourse they do so, because it's a word which could potentially attract some juicy upvotes as everyone likes such a word. But I have the impression that it's often just being fluff. No offence to these projects, as said: it's not that easy, and they often have different priorities.
When I saw above linked article about Holozing, I had a different feeling. They want to onboard new users to Hive 'WOO-HOO'! (in terms of a shout-out, any links with another project are just coincidence) But Holozing is explaining how they want to do it. That is in my eyes a lot more detailed compared to other projects! As explained in the article they want to make it possible to utilize a Metamask wallet to play the game. For those of you not knowing Metamask, it's a wallet which is supporting a lot of different tokens from different chains. When you do support logging in with a metamask to play a game based on the Hive blockchain, chanches are real that you'll be able to attract cryptofans to Hive. When you use the Metamask login option, you'll be able to play the game for free. A bit like Splinterlands without a spellbook, using the starter cards. When you want to start earning rewards or probably in terms of Holozing be able to catch creatures, you'll be able to create a Hive account for free to get started.
Ofcourse having a good idea is one thing but executing is another. Although as the team behind Holozing has a lot of experience on many different fields in regards to developing a new game on the Hive blockchain, I am quite confident everything will be executed decently. Ofcourse such onboarding will be following the popularity of the game. In terms of popularity on Hive, I think they already achieved great awareness as there's already 3 million Hive Power being delegated to Holozing, which brings me straight to my next topic for today.
Holozing curation
But Stekene, there is nothing about curation mentioned in the official update article? That's true! There are some statistics shared, which are by the way really blowing my mind to have such a big amount of delegated Hive Power. But as always, when you want to stay ahead of the average person, you have to dig for the details. In terms of Holozing, this means: join their discord, read the updates from @holozing and @acidyo and read their comments. As already said, Holozing has 3 million Hive Power delegated to them and so @dalz asked what the plan was for the 3mil HP. On which Acidyo (founder of Holozing), responded as follows:
For the voting power, we'll be inviting dedicated and experience curators in the near future to curate Holozing related posts and other gaming content. This will allow it to also work as a marketing tool to attract gamers into our ecosystem.
As for the rewards, they'll be only used for the game, such as team, development, artists, maintenance, scaling, potential marketing, etc. What they won't be used for is to buy back zing tokens or in any other way where it would deem to profit a single person/entity alone. Similarly we won't be printing zing tokens for things like paying freelancers/team members through it, marketing, etc, aside from the current assigned inflation to HP delegators, staking rewards, LP rewards and future gaming rewards.
Also of course claim account tokens for account creation.
I understood 2 things from this answer, namely that they will work with some experienced curators and that they will be focusing on Holozing and gaming content in general. I think utilizing experienced curators is definitely great as well as the curation is being organized more in a structured way. I like the idea of curating general gaming content as well to spread the word with a broader audience. On these points, I can just say I agree with the approach!

Ofcourse I understand that the project is just recently announced, there are other priorities, Acidyo is on holidays at the moment, etc, etc. But as we're a project on Hive, which has the ability of blogging and you guys are sitting on a massive pile of HP, I think it would be beneficial to both Holozing (free promo) and the users (writing more qualitative and attractive articles) to have some sneak peeks of artwork to use as or to create their own banners.
Conclusion
I think both the onboarding and future approach of curation already give an idea how the project is being approached. To wrap it up in 1 word: Professionally!
