Greetings Holozing Community, I've already confirmed that every Holozing character I recreate as a female and in Chibi style makes me fall in love more and more. I've been working for days on this version or fanart of Xolo, an enigmatic creature with an Egyptian touch, combining beautiful colors. It really has so many beautiful elements, like its eyes, the color palette, its ears with one of them folded, a symbol on its forehead, and a beautiful tail.
I want to show you my process in a few steps. What really takes me the longest is defining the sketch. From there, progress is quick. But what takes me the longest is the sketch, the shape or pose, interpreting its elements and transforming them into an outfit. After that, all the layers are faster.
Saludos Holozing Community, ya lo comprobé, cada personaje de Holozing que recreo como femenino y en estilo Chibi me enamora más y más. Tenía días realizando esta versión o fanart de Xolo una enigmática criatura con un toque egipcio, que combina unos colores hermosos, realmente tiene tantos elementos hermosos, como sus ojos, la paleta de colores, sus orejas con una de ellas doblada, un símbolo en la frente y una cola preciosa.
Quiero mostrarles mi proceso en pocos pasos, realmente lo que me lleva más tiempo es definir el boceto, de ahí avanzar es rápido, pero lo que me lleva más tiempo es el boceto, la forma o pose, interpretar sus elementos y transformarlos en un outfit, luego de eso todas las capas son más rápidas.
First, I did the sketch, which I usually do in blue or red. I don't know why, but my brain thinks that way. In this sketch, I started with one eye open and the other closed, as if winking, but I changed it to both eyes open. It's important to establish all the details of the clothing and accessories from this point.
Then, I did the lineart with a thin, pencil-style brush.
Primero realicé el boceto, que generalmente lo hago en color azul o rojo, no se por qué pero mi cerebro piensa así. En este boceto empecé con un ojo abierto y otro cerrado como si guiñaba, pero lo cambié a ambos ojos abiertos. Importante ya desde este punto establecer todos los detalles de la ropa y accesorios.
Luego, el Lineart con un pincel estilo o efecto lápiz, delgado.

For the skin, I used a more tanned color, since Xolo is Egyptian and his fur is dark. I wanted this chibi to imitate or recreate that a bit. Some well-placed shading (in my opinion) near the clothing, shading in the hair and neck, and details on the legs and knees.
Para la piel utilicé un color mas bronceado, ya que Xolo es Egipcio y es oscuro su pelaje, quise que esta Chibi lo imitara o recreara un poco en este sentido. Algunas sombreas bien ubicadas (según yo) cerca de la ropa, sombra del cabello y cuello, detalle en piernas y rodillas.

The hair is this beautiful color, to which I also added shadows, with the intention of adding depth and some interest.

The detail of a horizontal line in the front of the hair is a hallmark of my Chibis. I like my illustrations to have this common thread or signature.
Details in Xolo's colors, in the ears, tail, face, and accessories. Xolo was truly made with a beautiful color palette, which I tried to match while still allowing this Chibi to have some distinction.
El detalle de una línea horizontal en el frente del cabello, lo he hecho como un sello distintivo de mis Chibis, me gusta que mis ilustraciones tengan como este hilo conductor o sello.
Detalles en los colores de Xolo, en las orejas, cola, rostro y accesorios. Realmente Xolo fue hecha con una hermosa paleta de colores, a la que traté de acercarme pero dejando que esta Chibi también tenga algo de distinción.

For this female Xolo Chibi character, the thing that took me the longest time to think about was the outfit, as I didn't want to lose her charm and wanted her to feel somewhat Egyptian. I loved it; it would make a cute cosplay.
I changed Xolo Chibi's expression several times, but I liked this one, with a certain spoiled or spoiled air. I made her a little different from the other Chibis I've made, which have more friendly expressions. Although, I want to make her smiling another time, maybe when she shares it with her other Chibi friends.
De este personaje Xolo Chibi femenina, lo que más me llevó tiempo pensar fue el outfit o atuendo, ya que no quería que se perdiera, y quería que se sintiese algo de Egipcia. Me encantó, sería un lindo Cosplay.
La expresión de Xolo Chibi la cambié varias veces, pero me gustó esta con un cierto aire de malcriada o consentida; la hice un poco diferente de las otras Chibis que he hecho que tienen expresiones más simpáticas. Aunque, en otra oportunidad deseo hacerla sonriendo también, tal vez cuando comparta con sus otras amigas Chibis.
For the cover, I uploaded the illustration to the Pro version of Canva's desktop app, where I applied the Remove Background option, and then increased the size using the Canva app called Image Upscaler, which increases the quality without actually affecting the design.

I absolutely loved the Chibi-Style Female Xolo. I adore this style. I feel like each illustration is like a digital daughter of mine. Holozing has truly beautiful creatures that I will continue to honor with my Chibis.
For now, I only work with the Chibi-style female. I'd like to do it with boys later, but I still have a ton of female characters to create, and since they're not coming along very quickly, this will be something progressive that I thoroughly enjoy.
Amé por completo a Xolo Femenina con estilo Chibi, este estilo lo adoro, siento que cada ilustración es como una hija digital que tengo, Holozing tiene criaturas realmente hermosas que continuaré honrando con mis Chibis.
Por ahora solo manejo el estilo femenino Chibi, quisiera posteriormente hacerlo con chicos, pero todavía me faltan muchísimos personajes femeninos por hacer, y dado que no me salen tan rápido, esto será algo progresivo que disfruto plenamente.
