Project And Token Updates

So we have a few things that we want to improve regarding how we work, and also ways to increase rewards to Hive Power delegators that we want to lay out in this post.

Make payouts to delegators earlier on Mondays.
Replace payouts of CENT with payouts of PEPE.
Report APR on $AWESOME as 4 weeks floating.
Use Ecency Points to boost Hive earnings on our posts.
Create a Curation Bot with a comment command.

Make payouts to delegators earlier on Mondays.

As you have all noticed the weekly payouts to delegators have been lagging behind for a few weeks and been made on Tuesdays instead.

This is not ideal, and to remedie this we want to move it to early on Monday instead of late on Monday so that it will not get delayed if something gets in the way.

Replace payouts of CENT with payouts of PEPE.

The CENT token has moved from liquid rewards to all staked rewards, which means we do not get any liquid earnings of CENT any more.

To start unstaking is not ideal, so instead we want to remove the CENT token from the rewards, and then replace it with PEPE instead.

PEPE is a meme token, not worth a lot, but we are earning quite a bit of it, plus PEPE also have a good use case as it can be delegated to LOLZ Defi and earn LOLZ tokens from that, and the team behind PEPE is also quite active as well.

It's not likely to be a big value token, but CENT has not been that in a long time either, so therefore it makes for a good switch.

Report APR on $AWESOME as 4 weeks floating.

If you see the table above with the numbers for our $AWESOME token then you see that we have 3 numbers based on different time scales, and we want to change that to only have one number for the APR.

A 4 week floating APR would therefore be a good compromise, it's long enough to be quite stable, and still short enough to show our current performance, and what people can expect when buying our token.

Use Ecency Points to boost Hive earnings on our posts.

The best performing token we have in our payouts is of course our own $AWESOME token, and we buy it on the market each week with our liquid Hive and HBD earnings.

So to have a good amount of $AWESOME tokens to pay out to our HP delegators it's important that we earn a good amount of HBD on our posts, and one way to boost that is with Ecency Points.

We have started to use the Ecency Points we already had in our account, plus also started to use Ecency for posting our daily curation report and the comments we make on curated posts, and this cover about 1/3 of what we would need to get a daily boost on our posts.

To increase that we would need to delegate HP to Ecency and earn more.

If we delegate HP that would have an affect on how much we earn in curation rewards, which then would mean that the Token Value for our $AWESOME token would increase at a lower rate.

However the vast majority of what we earn in curation rewards comes from the incoming HP delegations that we have, not our own Hive Power, plus the increased rewards on our posts would mean more HP earned in author rewards instead.

Some numbers that we have seen also suggest that HP delegations to Ecency has quite a bit higher APR than what is possible to earn in curation APR, although this needs further confirmation, and we will not move forward until we have the numbers on this.

What we want to do though is to set a rate of how much of the Hive Power that is powered up on our @thisisawesome account which can be delegated if needed.

Currently we delegate 280 HP to the daily prizes in our daily prize drawing, plus we also have a small delegation of 100 HP to Dhedge to earn DVS tokens that we stake and which adds to the upvotes we get.

The suggestion here is that we can delegate up to 1/3 of the Hive Power that is powered up on @thisisawesome, and that covers all delegations combined.

Also note that this does not include all of our Backing Hive for $AWESOME as we also have Hive in our buy order on @awesomecuration, and with that included it would be 1/4 of all Backing Hive instead, as we keep 1/3 of all Backing Hive in that buy order.

This way we would have enough HP ready to be delegated to Ecency to cover the Ecency Points we need for a daily boost on our posts, while at the same time not decreasing our curation rewards too much, and neither make our HP take too long to Power Down in case we need more Hive in our buy order on @awesomecuration.

Create a Curation Bot with a comment command.

We have some ideas to create a curation bot with a comment command for @thisisawesome, and we would fork Alivebot to create it, as @flaxz already have that bot running.

To make this happen we would also make a new token on Hive-engine, as we want to reward incoming token delegations of the tokens we pay out to HP delegators, and pay out this new token to the token delegators.

Creating a token costs 100 BEE and we have 644 BEE already staked on @thisisawesome, so we can just unstake 100 and have the funds for that.

This is still just a basic idea so far and nothing is settled, plus to implement it needs a bit of development as well, so it's an idea that we want to explore further and it is likely to change on the details as we do so, but we wanted to let you know about it.

Daily Prize Drawing

To get some more engagement on our posts we have a small prize drawing, and the prize is tips by tipping bots on the comment by the winner in yesterdays post, plus a 5 HP delegation for 4 weeks from @thisisawesome, a great chance for new Hivers to grow, and in line with our goal of growing the Hive blockchain.
