Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I’m here with my first post in the clouds community! We had some awesome thunder storms roll through recently so I got some cool snaps!

Thunderclouds
Some of the fun things about summer are the rain storms and the thunder storms. There’s a lot of interesting stuff that goes on in the sky we take for granted!
Our son and I were out for some shopping when we were in the midst of a thunderstorm. It was visible and clearly there before we left to go shopping but I figured it would stay outside of where we were. Boy were we wrong! Lol. We went into the store after this picture was taken and when we came out it was torrentially down pouring! It was all good though, I enjoy summer rain storms when it’s warm out. It’s a good way to break up the temperature! The humidity didn’t go away like I hoped but that’s okay.
Another view of those angry clouds! We were headed in the direction of the storm with where we were going after so I was hoping to get in and out so we could watch it come down. We didn’t miss the rain that’s for sure!
When we were done shopping we intended on going fishing since it was what I thought a good time to go. The rain gets rid of all the annoying boats and jet skis. They love to purposely ride around in front of us so we don’t catch fish I swear. Bastards lol.
It was really peaceful to fish at that time, there wasn’t anything else out on the water besides us standing on the dock. The rumble of the thunder clouds for over an hour in the distance kept a lot of them away so that was nice. I don’t think we caught much, maybe just one or two small fish but it was still nice to be out there in nature in the peace and quiet!
I enjoyed hearing the periodic rumble of the thunder in the distance. I don’t know what this area is for geographical uniqueness but it’s not the first time we’ve been there and we’ve heard lots of rumbling in the distance but not much thunder or rain near us. It’s a pretty cool thing to watch since there’s usually trees blocking our view, the lake offers a great perspective of it all!
I wanted to thank @sagesigma for posting in the community and I saw it! I didn’t know we had one like this so I will try to check it out periodically. We get some cool cloud formations and hopefully I can capture them!
