When there is "the last little bit" of something left, we seem to enjoy it more, we value it more because it is about to end. We experience it with the last bite of ice cream, with the last half hour on the beach, with the last dance at the party, and the examples are endless. This is what happens with the last little bit of the day, then the sun and the clouds do their best to give us a special beauty, so that we can really enjoy the spectacle that the sky becomes at that time.

Cuando queda "el último poquito" de algo, parecemos disfrutarlo más, lo valoramos más porque está a punto de terminarse. Lo experimentamos con el último bocado del helado, con la última media hora en la playa, con el último baile en la fiesta, y los ejemplos son infinitos. Es lo que pasa con el último poquito del día, entonces el sol y las nubes se esmeran en brindarnos una belleza especial, par que realmente disfrutemos ese espectáculo en que se convierte el cielo a esa hora.
