Es la primera vez en mi vida que veo un "arcoiris de fuego". No tiene forma de arco, es mas bien horizontal y por eso es llamado también arco circunhorizontal.
Es un fenómeno óptico que ocurre cuando la luz solar pasa a través de vaporosas nubes cirros que estén a gran altitud. Este lo fotografié el sábado 24/09/2021 en Villa de Cura, estado Aragua, Venezuela, cerca de las 11:00 a.m. con mi celular Yezz.
Investigando en internet aprendí que los arcoiris de fuego solo aparecen cuando el sol está muy alto en el cielo (a más de 58° sobre el horizonte). También leí que es necesario que los cristales de hielo hexagonales que componen las nubes cirro estén organizados en gruesas placas que se encuentren paralelas al suelo.
Sólo si los cristales del cirro están alineados perfectamente, toda la sección se iluminará en un espectro de colores porque la luz atravesará la cara horizontal superior del cristal de hielo y saldrá por la cara inferior, esto hará que se refracte o "doble" el haz luminoso, como ocurre al pasar la luz por un prisma.
