Hello everybody! π
How are you doing?
I had an awesome and special weekend and I want to tell you about it. π
How was your weekend so far?
We met in real life with our game team for CraftInk to test out the game and tweak it, and to talk about Hive and Crypto in general.
I am always a little bit nervous when meeting new people. But at this meeting, I felt at home and relaxed right away! This was awesome. π
The others met from thursday until today. I was only there from friday to saturday because I needed to work on thursday and I have to pack stuff for vacation today. But I am really sad about this to be honest. I wish I could have been there the whole time. It was a great experience, I met great people and also learned alot about tokenomics and Hive in general.
After a 4 hours drive and a little break, I arrived there on friday afternoon.
To be honest, in general it was a good experience to travel alone. To be alone with my thoughts for a while. It always helps me to get a different perspective about my problems and the things that drag me down. The last weeks have been mentally challenging for me, because things that dragged me down in real life happened alot. But this trip really help to somehow get out of this. So I am thankful for it alot! π
When I arrived there, everyone was super chilled and nice. And we played our CraftInk game for a while. They printed all the cards we have in our game, and it was a really nice picture to see all next to each other!
We had a barbecue in the evening and drank some liquers, wine and whiskey. π But we actually really talked alot about how we could bring more people to Hive, what we could do to improve it, and what would be our visions for Hive. This was very interesting and I learned alot from all the other people who are mostly on Hive longer than I am. Very thankful for this priceless knowledge. π€
We were meeting in the "garden" of one of the Hivers who invited us to this meeting. It was more a park than a garden and I loved it!
The hotel we slept in at night was also nice. I felt comfortable and slept better than at home hahah!

The view out of the window was so nostalgic. It reminded me of old movies I love to watch. It was a small cinema. I felt like sent back in time.

On the next day, we started with a breakfast and then went back to the garden to play some more rounds of CraftInk.

I really loved building decks and playing them. I think the game has a good balance already. It has alot of different effect combinations that you can use and build into your decks.
So it never gets boring. But on the other hand, the game is easy enough to understand quite quick, even for someone that never played trading card games. And I think this is very important to incentivise the players to stay in the game.
Playing helped us to tweak some minor things but there were no big mistakes. ThatΒ΄s awesome! So I guess we are ready to go. Game design is done mostly. π
After playing, we talked about Tokenomics with a financial expert who was also at the meeting. This was a very valuable and important point for me. As this is what mostly goes wrong in blockchain games. People donΒ΄t know enough about tokenomics and after the first Hype of the token, it inflates and often crashes.
Of course we want to avoid that. So it was great to get some professional input on this. I love learning more about this kind of stuff, itΒ΄s like my inner inquisitiveness about these topics never end, and I soak up everything like a sponge.
Thanks for all this priceless info!
After all, this much too short meeting was a great time for me! It helped me to get out of my feeling of being stuck the last weeks, I met great people, learned alot and just had fun.
Do you know the feeling you have, when you feel that you are exactly in the right spot at the right time?
This is what it felt like for me. And I believe this meeting will have a certain importance for me in the future stuff I do. Because for me itΒ΄s not always easy to overcome my fears I have around meeting new people, about traveling, etc. Being afraid that people might not like me, that something might happen, that I am not good enough to work on their project and fullfill their expectations, etc.
This meeting really helped me to overcome parts of this and get rewarded for it! And also it showed me that THIS is what I wanna do. Work on projects together with other Hivians, use my creativity to create great products for Hive. I felt so... RIGHT when being there surrounded by like-minded people.
So I really want to say THANK YOU for this opportunity! ππ€π
I am very confident that our game will be a success and I am looking forward to working on the next steps, creating more sound effects and finishing the title song of the game!
We are currently working on a minigame version of the game that will come out before the main game will come. Our game project is not very well known on Hive yet. So I really hope this changes. Because I believe it will be a solid game, with a solid and very motivated team behind it.
If you are into games, I would be very happy if you would support our project and vision by sharing infos about our game to others, reposting our stuff or even buy our Booster Packs.
Because you can already collect all the cards that you will need to build your decks and play the game later. ItΒ΄s worth starting to collect and get into a game early, as you all might know. AAAAAND another good thing is: You can collect me as a card in the game too. π And many other Hivians!
Have a look into our project, and if you have any questions, I am always happy to answer them of course!
Here are the links to our website and our blog.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and I hope you have/had a great weekend and a good start to the new week! ππ€
See you soon!!!
π¦RAVEN
I am very thankful for everyone who supports me on my journey!!
