The Hive blockchain has never been short of innovation. For the last 7 years, the innovative feature of Hive has stood out as one key thing that keeps me around here. The gaming community has been one of the fortes of innovation on Hive. Formerly, it was just SPlinterlands till Genesis League Sports and Moon Karts were created. Glad to see that Arcade Colony has become a parent ecosystem hosting these innovative games, with its latest baby being Stakehouse Den.
After reading a few updates by @aggoed on Stakehouse Den, I decided to have a peek into the game's environment and perhaps prepare for its grand launch and upcoming mobile version launch.
According to its Whitepaper, Stakehouse Den is a Web3 Social Casino published by Invennium Corp and living on the Arcade Colony platform. As obtainable for Web3 games, players own their assets and govern various aspects of the game, game economy, and operate the ledger on which the game and tokens exist. It is a Social Casino game where players play games of chance, with no “consideration” laid on the table. Players are, however, rewarded with Colony tokens.
According to the whitepaper, the Stakehouse Den game revolves around managing resources like Ingredients, Recipes, and Appliances to craft Dishes that generate rewards in the form of $SCRIPT tokens. Armed with enthusiasm and a desire to explore this unique gaming ecosystem, I purchased SCRIPT tokens and bought Tier 2 FRIDGE STORAGE for my $HOTSAUCE.
The whitepaper explains that FRIDGE STORAGE is a critical Appliance in Stakehouse Den, allowing players to store Ingredients and Dishes to maintain their quality and maximize rewards. The idea of building a foundation for my culinary empire is fascinating, and I decided to purchase Fridge Storage as my first in-game investment. This choice felt like setting up a pantry in a real-world kitchen, which is a necessary step to ensure I could preserve resources for future crafting.
$SCRIPT tokens are the lifeblood of Stakehouse Den’s economy. As outlined in the whitepaper, SCRIPT is the primary currency used for transactions, upgrades, and staking within the game. Acquiring these tokens was straightforward, thanks to the integration with blockchain marketplaces like those supported by Splinterlands.
The promise of earning rewards for in-game activities is always a compelling hook for games on Hive, and I hope this will be as exciting as others. So far, I appreciate the team for the deep work in the development and the clarity of the game’s mechanics.
Hoping to have a feel of the game's gameplay when it goes live tomorrow or the next. Let's see what unfolds.
