These days I have been thinking about a word that has a great meaning, but of which very little is spoken nowadays, Integrity.
I was looking up the meaning of this word and it is amazing.
Integrity: It is doing the right thing even when no one is watching you. C:S.Lewis.
When we think about this we can ask ourselves, what is the right thing to do? To do the right thing we could say, is to act in an honest way with myself and with others, I tell you more, when we realize that a person acts with respect, kindness, is loyal to his principles, will be a person in whom we can surely trust.
There was once a boy who took something from a place that was not his and came home, his father when he saw him asked him, what is that and where did he get it from? to which the boy told him that he took it without the owner noticing, his father told him upset, how could you do something like that, right now we are going to deliver that to the owner and you will apologize to him, of course the boy was sorry and in no way wanted to go, but the father insisted and they went and returned what the boy had taken.
That boy I am writing about now is a family man, he studied and worked hard to have what he has now and he thanks his father for correcting him at that very moment.
This is just an example, but with this I want to say that integrity begins at home, by example.
And how do we give that example? by being honest in everything and with everyone, being loyal, correct in our way of proceeding.
Here is another example: I know a person that when he has been given an extra change, that person does not keep it, but returns it because his principles tell him, that is not mine, I will return it to its owner.
Personally it gives me a lot of joy when someone finds a wallet with money in it and does everything possible to find the owner to return it, friends that is integrity!
To be of integrity according to the Dictionary of the Spanish language says: It is someone who is upright, honest, blameless.
We are not saying that he is a person who does not make mistakes, by no means because he is a human being, but yes, when he makes a mistake he accepts it and assumes the consequences without seeking to blame someone else.
Thinking about all this, I say, how different the world would be if most of us decided to live like this, and when I see people acting so honorably I take off my hat because it seems that they are in danger of extinction.
What can I do, then, make a difference, that honesty, respect, loyalty be my flag, there are things that are so ingrained in society and I'm talking about bad habits that when we see people wanting to do the right thing, many even call him a fool and scoff, but regardless of that, the important thing is how we feel living an honest life, because it is certain that our sleep will be peaceful because we know we do not owe anything to anyone.

Saludos cordiales hermosa comunidad de Holos-Lotus, espero y estén pasando un feliz fin de semana 😊
En estos días he estado pensando en una palabra que tiene un gran significado, pero de la que hoy en día se habla muy poco, Integridad.
Estuve buscando el significado de esta palabra y es asombroso.
La integridad: Es hacer lo correcto aun cuando nadie te está observando. C:S.Lewis.
Cuando pensamos en esto nos podemos preguntar, que es lo correcto? Hacer lo correcto podríamos decir, que es actuar de manera honesta conmigo misma y con los demás, te digo más, cuando nos damos cuenta que una persona actúa con respeto, amabilidad, es leal a sus principios, será una persona en quien seguramente podemos confiar.
Hubo una vez un chico que agarro algo de un lugar que no era suyo y llego a casa, su papá al verlo le pregunta, que es eso y de donde lo ha sacado? a lo que el chico le dice que lo tomo sin que el dueño se diera cuenta, su papá molesto le dice, como se te ocurre hacer algo así, ahora mismo vamos a entregar eso al dueño y te vas a disculpar con él, por supuesto el chico estaba apenado y de ninguna manera quería ir, pero el padre le insistió y fueron y devolvieron lo que el chico había tomado.
Ese Chico del que les escribo ahora es un hombre padre de familia, estudió y ha trabajado duro para tener lo que ahora tiene y el da gracias a su padre por haberle corregido en ese mismo momento.
Esto es solo un ejemplo, pero con esto quiero decir que la integridad comienza desde casa, con el ejemplo.
Y como damos ese ejemplo? pues siendo honestos en todo y con todos, siendo leales, correctos en nuestra manera de proceder.
Aquí les dejo otro ejemplo: conozco a una persona que cuando le han dado un vuelto de más, esa persona no se queda con eso, sino que lo devuelve porque sus principios le dicen, eso no es mío, lo regresaré a su dueño.
Personalmente me da mucha alegría cuando alguien se encuentra una cartera con dinero y hace todo lo posible por encontrar al dueño para regresarla, amigos eso es integridad!
Ser íntegro según el Diccionario de la lengua Española dice: Es alguien, recto, honrado, intachable.
No estamos diciendo que es una persona que no se equivoca, de ninguna manera pues es un ser humano, pero eso sí, cuando se equivoca lo acepta y asume las consecuencias sin buscar echarle la culpa a alguien más.
Pensando en todo esto, digo, que diferente fuera el mundo si la mayoría decidiéramos vivir así, y cuando veo personas actuando tan honorablemente me quito el sombrero porque pareciera que estuvieran en peligro de extinción.
Que puedo hacer, pues, marcar la diferencia, que la honestidad, el respeto, la lealtad sean mi bandera, hay cosas que están tan arraigadas en la sociedad y hablo de malos hábitos que cuando vemos a personas querer hacer lo correcto, muchos hasta le llaman tonto y se mofan, pero independientemente de eso, lo importante es cómo nos sentimos nosotros viviendo una vida honesta, pues es seguro que nuestro sueño será tranquilo porque sabemos que no le debemos nada a nadie.
