Como les había comentado, este fin de semana estuve en la Convención MyHero Fest. En los eventos previos había estado principalmente como fotógrafo invitado, pero en éste fui por primera vez expositor con mi grupo de esgrima y lector de Runas, aunque no abandoné la fotografía pues el líder de un equipo de expositores de wargames me contrató para documentar su espacio.
Una amiga llamada Irayma se había ofrecido a grabar videos y tomar fotos de nuestro stand de HEMA (la portada es de ella), así que yo me dediqué a mi pequeño stand de Runas y a cumplir mi contrato con mi cliente, una labor relajada que me permitió además observar el desenvolvimiento de la convención desde mi punto de referencia con atención. Los consultantes que tuve fueron muy variados y prácticamente todos parte del público del evento, no expositores o cosplayers. En esta ocasión, tomé la decisión de no moverme mucho de mi área, por lo que solo saludé a las personas con las cuales me crucé o que fueron directamente a buscarme en mi espacio. Fue una experiencia distinta a todas las anteriores, cuando hacía un esfuerzo para recorrer todo el lugar en busca de amistades y conocidos. Las ausencias fueron interesantes. También apareció un tipo con quien tuve una interacción bastante desagradable hace unos meses, pero a parte de saludarme de lejos, no hizo más que rondar el espacio, quizás esperando que yo me acercase.
As I had told you, this weekend I went to the MyHero Fest Convention. I had attended previous events mainly as a guest photographer, but this was the first one I attended as an exhibitor with my fencing team, as well as a Rune reader, although I didn't abandon photography because the leader of a team of wargame exhibitors hired me to document his space.
A friend called Irayma had offered to record videos and take pictures of our HEMA stand (the cover picture is hers), so I focused on my small Rune stand and on fulfilling my contract with my customer, a relaxed task that also allowed me to observe the development of the convention from my point of reference with attention. The clients that I got were very varied and practically all of them were part of the event's audience, not exhibitors or cosplayers. In this occasion, I made the decision to not move much from my area, so I only greeted people that I stumbled upon or who went directly to seek me out in my space. It was a different experience from the previous ones, when I used to make an effort to cover the whole place in search of friends or acquaintances. The absences were interesting. I also saw a guy with whom I had a pretty unpleasant interaction a few months ago, but aside from greeting me from afar, he didn't anything but lurking around the space, perhaps expecting me to approach him.
El evento transcurrió con tranquilidad, sin dramas ni problemas que yo haya podido atestiguar, aunque el grupo con el cual solía asistir a estos sitios estuvo totalmente aislado del resto de la comunidad debido a su líder, una persona que solía llamar mi amigo, pero que ha demostrado de múltiples formas ser poco confiable y malintencionado. A pesar de que no me hizo nada a mí (excepto aprovecharse de mi tiempo y trabajo sin pagarme), ha hecho desastres en la comunidad, estafando, calumniando y tratando de abusar a otras personas, así que la postura generalizada que encontré sobre él entre los grupos de rol, juegos de mesa y wargames, fue de total rechazo. Su enorme soberbia le impide respetar las opiniones ajenas o pedir disculpas, así que por años ha destruido toda relación comercial o alianza significativa en la que ha participado, y durante el fin de semana envió a miembros de su grupo para observar lo que sucedía en otras áreas. Hace un rato lo bloqueé de todas mis redes activas, pues no deseo que tenga acceso a nada de lo que hago.
A parte de esto, el balance de la convención fue positivo y provechoso. Me divertí, dibujé un poco, hice mi servicio, sentí el crecimiento de mi influencia, reforcé varias conexiones, reconsideré otras, establecí la base de posibles alianzas nuevas y velé en la medida de mis posibilidades por el buen flujo de la energía para el disfrute de todos los presentes. Además tomé muchas ideas para mi propio proyecto de organización de eventos, que estoy comenzando ahora. Quiero destacarme en todos los niveles y para eso, debo estudiar las buenas prácticas y los problemas que observo en otros organizadores. Es una aventura muy emocionante.
The event took place in peace, without dramas or troubles that I could witness, although the group with which I used to attend these places was entirely isolated from the rest of the community due to its leader, a person that I used to call my friend, but who has shown in multiple ways that he's unreliable and malicious. Although he didn't do anything to me (except taking advantage of my time and work without paying me), he's wreaked havoc in the community by conning, slandering and trying to abuse other people, so the general stance that I found about him among roleplaying, board games and wargames groups was of total rejection. His immense conceit prevents him from respecting the opinions of others or apologizing, so for years he's destroyed every commercial relationship or significant alliance that he's been involved in, and throughout the weekend he sent members of his team to watch what was going on in other areas. I blocked him a while ago from all my active social networks, because I don't wish him to have access to anything that I do.
Aside from that, the balance of the convention was positive and profitable. I had fun, I drew a bit, I did my service, I felt the growth of my influence, I reinforced various connections, I reconsidered others, I established the basis for possible new alliances and also made sure to the best of my ability that the flow of the energy remained smooth for the enjoyment of everyone present. Additionally, I took many ideas for my own project of organizing events that I'm starting now. I want to stand out at all levels and for that, I must study the good practices and the issues that I observe in other organizers. It's a very exciting adventure.
Last night, mi amiga Rebeca y yo tuvimos una estupenda conversación y realizamos lecturas mutuas de cartas en las que el panorama para este y los próximos meses se expresó sumamente evolutivo y abundante. Según las cartas, estoy logrando desmontar una complicada y con frecuencia desagradable relación con la energía femenina que ha marcado mis interacciones con mujeres durante toda mi vida, una meta importante que me impuse hace unos años. Otro mensaje valiosísimo es que ahora tengo acceso constante tanto a mi pasado como a mi futuro, lo cual básicamente significa que puedo leer toda mi historia y extraer siempre más sabiduría de ella. Ésto también es muy emocionante, en especial ahora.

Last night, my friend Rebeca and I had a stupendous conversation and made mutual card readings in which the outlook for this and coming months appeared tremendously evolutionary and abundant. According to the cards, I'm managing to dismantle a complicated and frequently unpleasant relationship with the female energy that has marked my interactions with women throughout my whole life, an important goal that I imposed on myself a few years ago. Another extremely valuable message was that now I have constant access both to my past and my future, which basically means that I can read my whole story an always extract greater wisdom from it. This is also very exciting, especially now.
