Creo que lo más complicado de esta publicación fue la elección. No tengo una película "en especial", ya que son tantos los aprendizajes que puedo obtener de una diversidad de títulos cinematográficos, que solo pensar en elegir una película me resulta desafiante. De hecho, mientras me encontraba inmerso en mis rutinas, pensaba en ello: ¿Cuál será? Y luego de tanto pensar, finalmente he decidido cuál compartir.

I think the most complicated part of this publication was the choice. I don't have a “special” film, but there are so many learnings I can get from a diversity of film titles that just thinking about choosing a film is challenging for me. In fact, as I was immersed in my routines, I was thinking about it: What will it be? After so much thought, I finally decided which one to share.
Esa película es un clásico y justamente compatibiliza con nuestros tiempos, me refiero al avance de la inteligencia artificial que cada día está más presente en nuestras pantallas deslumbrándonos con sus capacidades cada vez más impactantes y sobresalientes.
Pero lo interesante que puedo compartir de esta película no es lo que está relacionado con los enfrentamientos entre máquinas y humanos, sino el momento que más me capturó fue cuando Morfeo le ofreció a Neo elegir entre la pastilla azul, que lo mantendría en la ignorancia de la simulación y la pastilla roja, que lo revelaría la verdad sobre Matrix.

That movie is a classic and it is precisely compatible with our times, I am referring to the advancement of artificial intelligence that every day is more present on our screens dazzling us with its increasingly impressive and outstanding capabilities.
But the interesting thing I can share about this movie is not what is related to the confrontations between machines and humans, but the moment that captured me the most was when Morpheus offered Neo to choose between the blue pill, which would keep him in the ignorance of the simulation and the red pill, which would reveal the truth about the Matrix.
Me he encontrado tantas veces en mi vida reconociendo las limitaciones de mis propios pensamientos o creencias y creo que es normal que nos suceda. En esos momentos, uno puede detenerse a reflexionar sobre sí mismo y preguntarse qué conjunto de pensamientos o creencias son realmente inútiles, equivocas o que parte de la realidad es filtrada por nuestras ilusiones. En una pregunta; ¿Qué aspectos de la realidad ignoramos y no somos consciente? De hecho, hace unos días compartí una publicación sobre este tema que, ahora que lo pienso, se relaciona bastante con lo poco que he abordado.
Lo cierto es que, a veces en la vida, dependiendo de la elección que tomemos, podemos experimentar situaciones que no resultan como planeamos, que nos llevan a sentir dolor, miedo o apatía. En esa situación, podemos tomar acciones con los medios y los conocimientos que tenemos a disposición para superar las adversidades o simplemente elegimos mantenernos en la comodidad de nuestros conceptos, creando una especie de ilusión inalterable en una realidad cambiante que puede derrumbar hasta el más refinado de nuestros andamiajes conceptuales.

I have found myself so many times in my life recognizing the limitations of my thoughts or beliefs and I think it is normal for that to happen to us. In those moments, one can stop to reflect on oneself and ask oneself which set of thoughts or beliefs are useless, wrong, or which part of reality is filtered by our illusions. In a question; what aspects of reality do we ignore and are not aware of? A few days ago I shared a post on this topic that, now that I think about it, relates quite a bit to the little I have addressed.
The truth is that, sometimes in life, depending on the choice we make, we can experience situations that do not turn out as we planned, and that lead us to feel pain, fear, or apathy. In that situation, we can either take action with the means and knowledge we have at our disposal to overcome adversities or simply choose to remain in the comfort of our concepts, creating a kind of unchanging illusion in a changing reality that can collapse even the most refined of our conceptual scaffolding.
En mi perspectiva, creo que Matrix es una película que, más allá de sus escenas de acción, nos ofrece varios argumentos y planteamientos que pueden hacernos cuestionar aspectos del mundo exterior palpable por nuestros sentidos o la cosmovisión que hemos construido a lo largo de nuestras vidas. Y creo que también es momento de preguntarnos: ¿Estamos dispuestos a desafiar nuestros propios pensamientos? O ¿aferrarnos a las ilusiones de una falsa sensación de seguridad?
La respuesta y elección a esta pregunta puede ser demasiado difícil. Aunque también depende de nuestra personalidad y del orgullo que moldea parte de nuestra existencia, es normal sentirse identificado de los pensamientos y creencias que nos acompañan día a día. Y una situación limitante que pueda herir o destrone nuestro orgullo, puede desenlazar lo siguiente: O aceptamos con madurez que estamos equivocados o nos aferramos a nuestro orgullo como definitorio de nuestra realidad.
Sea cual sea el caso, lo cierto es que, en la inmensidad de esta vida y cada nuevo descubrimiento en este planeta o en el vasto universo, nos evidencia la magnitud de nuestra ignorancia.

In my perspective, I believe that Matrix is a movie that, beyond its action scenes, offers us several arguments and approaches that can make us question aspects of the external world palpable by our senses or the worldview we have built throughout our lives. And I think it is also time to ask ourselves: Are we willing to challenge our thoughts? Or cling to the illusions of a false sense of security?
The answer and choice to this question may be too difficult. Although it also depends on our personality and the pride that shapes part of our existence, it is normal to feel identified with the thoughts and beliefs that accompany us day by day. And a limiting situation that can hurt or dethrone our pride can trigger the following: Either we accept with maturity that we are wrong or we cling to our pride as defining our reality.
Whatever the case may be, what is certain is that the immensity of this life and each discovery on this planet or in the vast universe shows us the magnitude of our ignorance.
