Espero que se encuentren bien y felices. Me encanta volver a esta maravillosa comunidad, más cuando me toca responder una pregunta incómoda sobre mi misma. Este espacio es maravilloso para ayudar a ver aquellas partes poco iluminadas de uno mismo. He tardado en entender que para crecer se necesita ponerse algo incómodo y así poder ver otras aristas de nosotros mismos.
Es interesante la mente humana y cómo nosotros podemos llegar a pensar pero sobre todo creer muchísimas cosas que los demás piensan de nosotros por actos o comentarios hechos que muchas veces no tienen que ver con nosotros. No creo ser la única que ha llegado a sentirse incómoda o mal por comentarios de otros o hasta una mala mirada y que ha llegado a pensar que es porque algo de mi no ha caído bien.
Tuve una época de mi vida, donde por muy baja autoestima, llegué a creer que todo lo que hacía caía mal por reacciones que veía. Tarde en entender que la gente hace cosas que muchas veces no tienen que ver con nosotros, es decir que no son reacciones a nuestros actos, y que por pensar que si nos tomamos personales y eso afecta. Luego de que entendí esto mi percepción cambió bastante. Aun así sé que hago cosas que molestan a otros y una en especifico es mi intensidad.
Soy intensa por naturaleza y para muchos eso significa que puedo llegar a ser fastidiosa por lo apasionada que soy. Tengo días donde soy tan intensa que, cito textualmente: “parezco una metralleta” de lo rápido que voy. Esta misma intensidad me hace ser impulsiva y en el calor del momento puedo perder los estribos. Odio las injusticias y mi intensidad me hace querer defenderlas a capa y espada sin medir muy bien. Ojo, esto es algo que he tenido que aprender a controlar porque hay momentos donde uno no puede tomar todo tan literal y agarrar corajes hace daño. No todos aman que sea intensa y esto es algo que sé, pero es un rasgo de mi misma que he tenido que aprender a controlar y querer, porque no tiene que ser exactamente malo.
Otra cosa que sé que no les gusta mucho es que sea una “tajada”. Para quien no sepa del término, la tajada es un plátano cortado en lonjas redondeadas que muchas veces se fríe. Lo curioso es que cuando las vas a freir y estás modo vigilando que no se quemen, parecen freírse más lento, pero basta un descuido para que se quemen. Con esta analogía quiero decir que soy una tajada y necesito atención porque sino me quemo (te puedes reír porque es divertido el término, surgió de una influencer en tik tok). Esta necesidad de atención es algo que no siempre cae bien pero es algo que han aprendido a lidiar conmigo. Ojito aquí, soy tajada pero sin caer en lo tóxico porque entiendo que cada quien tiene sus responsabilidades.
He aprendido a vivir con aquellas cosas de mi que creo no le gustan a los demás, pero admito que la vida se hace un poco más liviana cuando intento no pensar que lo que hago incómoda a todos, cuando no me achico para caber en otros espacios, cuando veo que todos tenemos diferencias y que no somos monedas de oro para caerle bien a todos todo el tiempo. Todo esto, siempre entendiendo, que lo que hacemos no daña a otros.

I hope you are well and happy. I love coming back to this wonderful community, more so when I get to answer an uncomfortable question about myself. This space is wonderful for helping to see those unenlightened parts of oneself. It has taken me a while to understand that in order to grow it takes getting uncomfortable to see other sides of ourselves.
It is interesting the human mind and how we can come to think but mostly believe so many things that others think of us by actions or comments made that often have nothing to do with us. I don't think I am the only one who has felt uncomfortable or bad because of comments made by others or even a bad look and I have come to think that it is because something about me has not gone down well.
I had a time in my life, where due to very low self-esteem, I came to believe that everything I did did was wrong because of reactions I saw. It took me a while to understand that people do things that often have nothing to do with us, that is to say that they are not reactions to our actions, and that by thinking that if we take ourselves personally and that affects us. After I understood this my perception changed a lot. Even so, I know that I do things that bother others and one in particular is my intensity.
I am intense by nature and for many that means I can be annoying because of how passionate I am. I have days where I am so intense that, quote, “I look like a machine gun” because of how fast I go. This same intensity makes me impulsive and in the heat of the moment I can lose my temper. I hate injustice and my intensity makes me want to defend it tooth and nail without measuring it very well. This is something I have had to learn to control because there are times when you can't take everything so literally and getting angry hurts. Not everyone loves that I am intense and this is something I know, but it is a trait of myself that I have had to learn to control and love, because it doesn't have to be exactly bad.
Another thing I know they don't really like is that I'm a “slice”. For those who don't know the term, tajada is a plantain cut into rounded slices that is often fried. The funny thing is that when you are going to fry them and you are watching to make sure they don't burn, they seem to fry slower, but all it takes is an oversight for them to burn. With this analogy I want to say that I am a slice and I need attention because otherwise I burn (you can laugh because the term is funny, it came from an influencer on tik tok). This need for attention is something that doesn't always go down well but it's something they have learned to deal with me. Ojito here, I am tajada but without falling into the toxic because I understand that everyone has their responsibilities.
I have learned to live with those things about me that I think others do not like, but I admit that life becomes a little lighter when I try not to think that what I do makes everyone uncomfortable, when I do not shrink to fit in other spaces, when I see that we all have differences and that we are not gold coins to be liked by everyone all the time. All this, always understanding that what we do does not harm others.
