We were convened by various program areas that do research within the ULA, and it was the turn of the Chair of Peace and Human Rights Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, to share as a practical experience the work they do in the communities with their social projects.
Within these programs is the Abuelitas Lindas Project, where I am a volunteer, because I have to prepare a presentation of the experience that in 10 minutes will tell what we do, why we do it and how we do it, among other topics. You can imagine the experience of four years in ten minutes, a difficult task.
For my reflection from these experiences is that we should not be afraid of the new challenges that may arise in life, and I realized that I should modulate my voice more, talk more with people to leave aside that stage fright that sometimes takes over and does not allow us to move forward.
I have always volunteered to speak behind the camera, I have stage fright and I don't like public speaking, on this occasion I could not escape the responsibility and I had to explain to a group of twenty-five outstanding professors in the area of research, what we do within the program.

After reviewing about three times my presentation that should be in ten minutes, we prepared with the help of the volunteer team a simple presentation of photos with the activities we did, I had to get up and my hands were shaking, I started sweating and had makeup, I tried to modulate my voice and unfortunately I read, because I had no ability to expose without reading, as the nerves were betraying me.

An effective technique that never fails is to look at yourself in the mirror and speak in such a way that you can observe your gestures, mannerisms and position when you stand up to speak to the public.
After reviewing about three times my presentation that should be in ten minutes, we prepared with the help of the volunteer team a simple presentation of photos with the activities we did, I had to get up and my hands were shaking, I started sweating and had makeup, I tried to modulate my voice and unfortunately I read, because I had no ability to expose without reading, as the nerves were betraying me.

At the end of it, I took a deep breath and said to myself, we did it, then I was told that I really liked my presentation because it was simple, brief, and explicit to the guidelines that were placed, even though I was told that I read very fast in some moments. I had the satisfaction that I was in front of I don't know how many years of history

I usually realized that if I can do it again, stand up in public and expose my ideas, maybe elaborate a reminder of the main ideas to develop the intention to express in a convincing way what I want to convey to the listening population.

Fuimos convocadas por diversas áreas de programas que hacen investigación dentro de la ULA, y toco a la Cátedra de la Paz y Derechos Humanos Monseñor Oscar Arnulfo Romero, compartir como experiencia práctica la labor que desempeña en las comunidades con sus proyectos sociales.
Para mi reflexión desde ésta experiencias es que no hay que temer a los nuevos retos que se puedan presentar en la vida, y me di cuenta que debo modular más mi voz, hablar más con las personas para ir dejando un lado ese miedo escénico que a veces se apodera y no nos permite avanzar.
Dentro de estos programas se encuentra el Proyecto de Abuelitas Lindas, donde soy voluntaria, pues toco preparar una ponencia de la experiencia que en 10 minutos relatara, lo que hacemos, porque lo hacemos y como lo hacemos,entre otros tópicos.Se imaginan la experiencia de cuatro años en diez minutos, una tarea difícil.
Siempre he sido voluntaria por decir detrás de cámara, tengo miedo escénico y no me gusta hablar en público.En esta ocasión no pude escapar de la responsabilidad y me toco exponer a un grupo de veinticinco profesores destacados en el área de investigación, lo que hacemos dentro del programa.
Luego de revisión como tres veces de mi ponencia que debía ser en diez minutos, preparamos con ayuda del equipo voluntario una presentación de sencilla de fotos con las actividades que realizamos, me toco levantarme y mis manos temblaban, comencé a sudar y tenia maquillaje,intente modular mi voz y lamentablemente lei, púes no tenia capacidad de exponer sin leer, ya que los nervios me estaban traicionando.
Una técnica eficaz que no falla, es mirarnos al espejo y hablar,hablar de manera que puedas observar tus gestos,muletillas, posición al pararte para hablar con el público.
Luego de revisión como tres veces de mi ponencia que debía ser en diez minutos, preparamos con ayuda del equipo voluntario una presentación de sencilla de fotos con las actividades que realizamos, me toco levantarme y mis manos temblaban, comencé a sudar y tenia maquillaje,intente modular mi voz y lamentablemente lei, púes no tenia capacidad de exponer sin leer, ya que los nervios me estaban traicionando.
Al final de ello, respiré profundo y me dije mi misma, lo logramos, luego me han participado que gustó mucho mi ponencia porque fue sencilla, breve, y explícita a los lineamientos que colocaron, igual me comunicaron que lei muy rápido en algunos momentos. Me ha quedado la satisfacción que estuve frente a no se cuantos años de historia
Igualmente me di cuenta que si puedo volver a hacerlo, levantarme en público y exponer mis ideas, quizás elaborar un recordatorio de las ideas principales para desarrollar la intención de expresar de manera convincente lo que quiero transmitir a la población que me escuche.
