Juana Chelme es una persona de buenos sentimientos. Si alguien cercano tuviera que describirla, probablemente lo primero que diría es que tiene un corazón noble, especialmente cuando se trata de los animales. Desde niña ha sentido una conexión especial con ellos, una ternura que le nace sin esfuerzo. No puede ver sufrir a un ser vivo, por pequeño que sea. Si encuentra una mariposa o una abejita atrapada, no duda en ayudarla a encontrar un lugar seguro. Siente que los animales, al igual que los niños, son inocentes y merecen todo el cuidado y respeto posible.
También se preocupa por las personas, aunque con los años ha aprendido a ser más cauta. El mundo, a veces, le ha enseñado a desconfiar. Sigue siendo amable, pero ahora también se protege. Ha entendido que la bondad no significa dejarse lastimar.
Antes era muy impulsiva, se enojaba rápido, y aunque no ha dejado del todo ese rasgo, ha aprendido a controlar sus emociones. Juana ha trabajado en sí misma con paciencia, y eso ya es un gran logro. Cambiar no es fácil, pero ella lo ha intentado con honestidad.
Una de las lecciones más difíciles de su vida ha sido aceptar que algunas personas se van, aunque no quieras que lo hagan. Pasó por un proceso doloroso al tener que dejar ir a alguien muy importante para ella, y por eso, otra personita también se fue de su vida. No fue su decisión, pero aprendió a sobreponerse al dolor. Lloró lo que necesitaba llorar, dejó salir la tristeza y siguió adelante. Antes, podría haber sentido que el mundo se derrumbaba, pero esta vez, se mantuvo en pie.
Actualmente, Juana está conectando con una parte de ella que había dejado de lado: la creatividad. Comenzó a tejer a crochet viendo videos, empezando con patrones simples. Luego se atrevió a más. Hoy está trabajando en crear sus propios patrones, especialmente de amigurumis. Y lo más hermoso de todo es que cuando los hace, siente que una parte de ella se va en esos pequeños seres. Como si tuvieran alma. Como si sus emociones buenas, su ternura, su cariño, se quedaran dentro de ellos. No sabe si un día los venderá, pero por ahora disfruta el proceso con calma, paso a paso, sin presión.
Juana ha vivido momentos muy duros. Momentos en los que fue juzgada, en los que intentó hacer lo mejor posible, pero no todos lo vieron así. Esas situaciones le dejaron miedos, inseguridades, heridas que aún está sanando. Sin embargo, ella sigue de pie. Ha intentado cambiar para bien, incluso cuando los demás no hicieron lo mismo. Entendió que no puede cambiar a nadie más, solo a sí misma.
Disfruta de las cosas simples: mirar una flor, ver la naturaleza en silencio, cuidar a los que ama. Muchas veces se deja de lado para estar pendiente de los demás, no por obligación, sino porque así es ella.
Y si hay algo que la hace única, quizá sea esa sensibilidad que aún conserva, esa capacidad de emocionarse con lo pequeño, de poner amor incluso en lo más simple. También su imaginación, que volvió a despertarse, como una semilla que dormía y ahora empieza a florecer otra vez.
Hoy, Juana es alguien que ha aprendido, que ha caído y se ha levantado, que se ha roto un poco pero sigue buscando su forma. Es alguien que ama, que crea, que cuida. Y eso, ya es mucho.

Juana Chelme is a person with a kind heart. If someone close to her had to describe her, they would probably say that she has a noble soul, especially when it comes to animals. Since childhood, she has felt a special connection with them — a tenderness that comes effortlessly. She can’t bear to see any living creature suffer, no matter how small. If she finds a butterfly or a little bee in trouble, she won’t hesitate to help it find a safe place. She feels that animals, like children, are innocent and deserve all the care and respect possible.
She also cares about people, although over the years she’s learned to be more cautious. Life has sometimes taught her not to trust so easily. She’s still kind, but now she also protects herself. She has come to understand that being good doesn’t mean allowing yourself to be hurt.
She used to be very impulsive, quick to anger. And although that trait hasn’t disappeared completely, she has learned to manage her emotions. Juana has worked on herself with patience — and that alone is a great achievement. Change is not easy, but she has made the effort with honesty.
One of the hardest lessons in her life has been accepting that some people leave, even if you don’t want them to. She went through a painful process when she had to let go of someone who had been very important to her — and because of that, another little soul also left her life. It wasn’t her decision, but she learned to rise from the pain. She cried what she needed to cry, let the sadness out, and kept going. Before, she might have felt like the world was falling apart, but this time, she stayed standing.
Nowadays, Juana is reconnecting with a part of herself she had left behind: her creativity. She began crocheting by watching videos, starting with simple patterns. Then she dared to try more complex things. Today, she is working on creating her own designs, especially amigurumis. And the most beautiful part is that when she makes them, she feels like a part of her goes into those little beings. As if they had a soul. As if her good emotions — her tenderness, her warmth — stayed inside them. She doesn’t know if she’ll ever sell them, but for now, she enjoys the process calmly, step by step, without pressure.
Juana has been through very hard moments. Moments in which she was judged, when she tried to do her best but not everyone saw it that way. Those situations left her with fears, insecurities, and wounds she’s still healing. Even so, she’s still standing. She has tried to change for the better, even when others didn’t do the same. She understood she can’t change anyone else — only herself.
She enjoys simple things: looking at flowers, watching nature in silence, caring for those she loves. Many times, she puts herself last to take care of others — not out of obligation, but simply because that’s who she is.
And if there’s something that makes her unique, it’s probably the sensitivity she still holds onto — that ability to feel deeply, to be moved by small things, to pour love into even the simplest acts. Also, her imagination, which has begun to awaken again, like a seed that had been sleeping and now begins to bloom once more.
Today, Juana is someone who has learned, who has fallen and gotten back up, who’s been a little broken but keeps looking for her way. She’s someone who loves, who creates, who cares. And that, already, is a lot.
