Good morning first of all and let me bring you today a series of thoughts arranged under meditation. As I am not an expert on the subject, I recommend consulting various sources, and listening to one's own experience to make decisions, but without a doubt I recommend taking the following post as a personal experience, and not as an inescapable truth about meditation.

Buen día antes que nada y permítanme traerles hoy una serie de pensamientos ordenados bajo la meditación. Como no soy experta en el tema, recomiendo consultar diversas fuentes, y escuchar la propia experiencia para tomar decisiones, pero sin lugar a dudas recomiendo tomar el siguiente post como una experiencia personal, y no como una verdad ineludible acerca de la meditación.
Truth be told, I don't know if people meditate as much as I think they do. I am convinced that some will say they don't and yet they have an activity with which they connect so much in the present, that they forget a certain level of problem or worry. I would call it meditation, at least that is the level of stress I channel when I meditate. In this case, both are valid. Whether you sit in a certain posture, or do an activity that “clears” you both apply as meditating for me.

La verdad, no sé si la gente medita tanto como creo. Estoy convencida que algunos dirán que no lo hacen y sin embargo tienen una actividad con la que conectan tanto en el presente, que olvidan cierto nivel de problema o preocupación. Yo lo llamaría meditación, al menos es el nivel de estrés que yo canalizo cuando medito. En este caso, ambas son válidas. Ya sea que te sientes en una postura determinada, o que hagas una actividad que te "despeje" ambas aplican como meditar para mí.
When I first started I remember using an alarm on my cell phone so I wouldn't lose the frequency of the habit. And while it worked for a while, I admit that the first few times I missed the schedule, I felt guilty. And I wasn't doing this to comply with anyone. But on the contrary, to consciously build a bridge between my worries and the reality that accompanies me, that exists while I worry, and in turn, to clean that bridge a bit. And what has brought me the most benefits and what I work on in my consciousness is breathing. Doing this thing that is so involuntary, awareness has been a powerful exercise.

Cuando comencé recuerdo que usaba una alarma en mi móvil para no perder la frecuencia del hábito. Y aunque funcionó un tiempo, reconozco que las primeras veces que fallé en horario, me sentí culpable. Y no estaba haciendo esto para cumplir con nadie. Sino todo lo contrario, construir a consciencia un puente entre mis preocupaciones y la realidad que me acompaña, que existe mientras yo me preocupo, y a su vez, limpiar un poco ese puente. Y lo que más beneficios me ha traído y sobre lo que trabajo en mi consciencia es la respiración. Hacer esto que es tan involuntario, la toma de conciencia ha sido un ejercicio poderoso.

I don't know if meditation calms us or elevates us, I heard some professionals in the field talk about this, and about the connections that occur between cells, and that this helps I don't know what. I am not a woman of sciences, I am interested in them, yes. But I am a person of arts and disciplines. As I continue with my meditations, my moments, and my clearing of thoughts, I notice that my heart rate is already one at these times, I realize that it is easier for me to fall asleep in the middle of a meditation, and I don't know if that is good or bad either, but it happens and I don't beat myself up about it. I like it when meditations relax me so much that I fall asleep in that limbo of placable calm, as if there is no possibility, this rest is required.

No se si la meditación nos calma o nos eleva, escuche algunos profesionales en la rama hablar sobre esto, y sobre las conexiones que se dan entre las células, y que esto ayuda a no sé qué. No soy una mujer de ciencias, me interesan, si. Pero soy una persona de artes y disciplinas. Mientras continúo con mis meditaciones, mis momentos, y mi limpieza de pensamientos, noto que mi ritmo cardíaco ya es uno en estos momentos, me doy cuenta que es más fácil para mí caer dormida en medio de una meditación, y tampoco se si eso es bueno o malo, pero ocurre y no me castigo por ello. Me gusta cuando las meditaciones me relajan tanto que caigo dormida en ese limbo de calma aplacable, como si no hubiese posibilidad, este descanso es requerido.
The truth is that guiding my meditations has helped me to tell myself more beautiful stories, to take me to more beautiful places and to keep in mind that from my mind I can be in control of what happens to me, either to guide my thoughts or to give me that peace that will leave me dozing. A gift that I give myself every day and I can't miss it. I must accept that I get very annoying when I don't do it (for whatever reasonable reason) so those days I go to bed a little earlier and try to have that moment of mental calm with me.

La verdad es que guiar mis meditaciones me ha ayudado a contarme historias más bonitas, a llevarme a lugares más bonitos y a tener presente que desde mi mente puedo estar bajo control de lo que me ocurre a mi, ya sea para guiar mis pensamientos o para darme esa paz que me dejara dormitando. Un regalo que me hago cada día y no puede faltar. Debo aceptar que me pongo muy fastidiosa cuando no lo hago (por el motivo razonable que sea) asique esos días me voy un rato antes a la cama y trato de tener conmigo ese momento de calma mental.
Most of my guided meditations are with colorful thoughts, or a place that I remember very peacefully from my childhood. The beauty of this is that we exercise the path mentally, and we never learn it by heart. Sometimes I change the route or sometimes I change my way of facing it, sometimes my landscape is daytime, sometimes nighttime, and sometimes it drizzles. My favorites are sunsets and that's why I don't use them often. I try to find emotions that remind me of sunsets and I go through them in an inner journey with a lot of longing.

La mayor parte de mis meditaciones guiadas son con pensamientos en colores, o un sitio que recuerdo con mucha paz de mi infancia. Lo hermoso de esto es que vamos ejercitando el camino mentalmente, y nunca lo aprendemos de memoria. A veces cambio el recorrido o a veces cambio mi manera de afrontarlo, a veces mi paisaje es diurno, otras nocturno, y otras llovizna. Mis preferidos son los atardeceres y por eso no los uso seguido. Trato de encontrar emociones que me recuerdan a los atardeceres y los transito en un viaje interior con mucha añoranza.
There are days when I am more distracted than others, or when I am focused on some current problem and it is harder for me to get into the path of colors, or clear thoughts. On those days I allow myself to wander, to investigate other thoughts. And as it happens when I investigate, new places appear where I go in search of peace, or conflict resolution. I accept all the states that appear to me, I accept my rational way of building my mind as a better place. Garnish it and give it its main food. This is what meditation is for me, the food for my soul to grow and flourish, without avoiding to create a thread that brings together everything I am, think and do. A thread, or a thin veil, that covers everything, that is there in each person although not consciously.

Hay días que estoy más distraída que otros, o que estoy enfocada en algún problema actual y me cuesta más entrar en el camino de colores, o pensamientos claros. Esos días me permito divagar, indagar otros pensamientos. Y como pasa cuando investigo, aparecen nuevos lugares a los que voy en busca de paz, o de resolución de conflictos. Acepto todos los estados que me aparecen, acepto mi manera racional de construir mi mente como un lugar mejor. Adornarlo y darle de su alimento principal. Así es la meditación para mi, el alimento para que mi alma crezca y pueda florecer, sin evitar crear un hilo conductor que reúna todo lo que soy, pienso y hago. Un hilo, o un fino velo, que lo cubre todo, que está ahí en cada persona aunque no a consciencia.
