Hello to all my Ecency friends, from the very beginning of my post I wish you a beautiful week and that you are well wherever you are. This week and the next one I will be in exams as it is the end of the first semester. Of course, this doesn't mean a total absence on my part on the platform since consistency and quality in my posts are one of my main goals. In this post I want to share with you how my week has been so far and some tips for managing your time to balance your well-being.
Hola a todos mis amigos de Ecency, desde el mismo inicio de mi post deseo que estén teniendo una hermosa semana y que estén bien donde quiera que se encuentran. Esta semana y la próxima estaré en exámenes dado que es el cierre del primer semestre. Claro está, que esto no significa una total ausencia de mi parte en la plataforma puesto que la constancia y calidad en mis publicaciones es uno de mis principales objetivos. En este post quiero compartirles como ha ido mi semana hasta ahora y algunos tips para administrar tu tiempo y así equilibrar tu bienestar.
Sunday was a particularly exhausting day, you will understand when I explain, as I had a shift at my workplace from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. I usually reserve Sundays to rest, but in recent times, with so many obligations and tasks to accomplish, I spend the afternoon working and doing research on my laptop. Unfortunately, I couldn't make any progress on that, I attended the shift and stayed until 5:10 so you could say that I somewhat exceeded my task. When I got home, the exhaustion was noticeable, I took a shower, ate, did Monday's homework and went to bed.
El domingo fue un día especialmente agotador, me entenderán cuando les explique, dado que tuve guardia en mi centro de trabajo de 12:00 m a 5:00 pm. Usualmente reservo los domingos para descansar pero en estos últimos tiempos al tener tantas obligaciones y trabajos que desarrollar lo que hago es pasar la tarde trabajando y desarrollando mis investigaciones en la laptop. Lamentablemente no pude adelantar nada respecto a eso, asistí a la guardia y me quedé hasta las 5:10 así que se puede decir que de cierta forma sobrecumplí con mi tarea. Al llegar a la casa el agotamiento era notable y me bañé,comí, hice las tareas del lunes y me acosté a dormir.
On Monday, I had morning and afternoon classes, during the class sessions we reviewed and checked the assignments submitted earlier. On Tuesday, I had a morning class, the evaluation of one of my subjects to close the semester, and then I went to one of the kindergartens where I provide English training to educators on how to teach it in childhood.
El lunes tuve clase mañana y tarde, en los turnos de clases nos dieron repasos y revisaron las tareas enviadas con anterioridad. Por otra parte, el martes tuve clase por la mañana, la evaluación de una de mis asignaturas para cerrar el semestre y luego me dirigí a uno de los círculos infantiles donde imparto capacitaciones a titas de inglés y como enseñarlo en la primera infancia.
On Wednesday, I had a discussion on my Diploma Work early in the morning in which I did excellent despite the limited time I had to prepare due to circumstances beyond my control. In the afternoon, I went to another kindergarten and gave the scheduled training on the vocabulary to be covered next week and the everyday expressions they should use in the classrooms. Despite all the stress this entails, I am very happy to have the opportunity to meet new people and teach them the language. It is essential to highlight that the teachers are elderly people, which makes this task quite a challenge. Many have expressed to me that it is very difficult for them, but my job is to facilitate language learning and maintain a positive attitude about it.
El miércoles tuve a primera hora una discusión sobre mi Diploma Work en la cual salí excelente a pesar del poco tiempo que tuve para prepararme por cuestiones ajenas a mi voluntad. En la tarde, me dirigí al otro círculo y di la capacitación programada en cuanto al vocabulario a tratar la semana próxima y las expresiones cotidianas que deben utilizar en las aulas. A pesar de todo el estrés que esto conlleva estoy muy feliz por tener la oportunidad de conocer personas nuevas y enseñarles el idioma. Es esencial destacar que las titas son personas mayores y por eso hace de esta tarea todo un reto. Muchas me han planteado que para ellas es muy difícil pero mi trabajo es ese: el facilitar el aprendizaje del idioma y mantener una actitud positiva acerca del mismo.
Many times we create mental barriers driven by insecurity, and this is the first thing we must work on, especially in language teaching. Understanding that making mistakes is normal and that we will improve in the language based on them is the first step. Embracing chaos and becoming part of it is one of the best actions you can take. For them, it is quite a challenge and not everyone is the same in assimilating certain things, but I have a lot of faith in this project and I know that step by step, the results will be seen. These days have been very demanding both, intellectually and physically, but consistency and willpower can do anything, even give that extra effort that we sometimes consider impossible.
Muchas veces nos creamos barreras mentales impulsadas por la inseguridad y esto es lo primero que debemos trabajar y más en la enseñanza de idiomas. El comprender que cometer errores es normal y que en base a ellos mejoraremos en el idioma es el primer paso. El abrazar el caos y volverte parte de él es una de las mejores acciones que puedes tomar. Para ellas, es todo un reto y no todos somos iguales para asimilar ciertas cosas pero le tengo mucha fe a este proyecto y se que paso a paso se verán los resultados. Estos días han sido muy demandantes tantos a nivel intelectual como físico pero la constancia y voluntad son capaces de todo, incluso de dar ese extra que a veces consideramos imposible.
My formula for overcoming these tense days consists of three essential factors: friends, discipline, and positivity. We gain nothing by seeing everything negatively, and although it is often very difficult to see the positive side, you can be sure that by doing so, you will gain more than by falling into the trap of negativity. A healthy mind is capable of anything, and that is why it is our responsibility to take care of it.
Mi fórmula para superar estos días de tensión se compone de tres factores esenciales: amigos, disciplina y positividad. Nada ganamos con ver todo negativamente y aunque muchas veces ver la parte positiva es muy difícil pueden estar seguros que haciendo eso ganarán más que cayendo en las redes de la negatividad. Una mente sana es capaz de todo y es por ello que es nuestra responsabilidad cuidar de ella.
