Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share a few interesting photos from fishing the other day!

Snacking Monochrome Monday
Fishing is for sure one of the favorite past times that I've had for a really long time!
I'm glad that I've gotten my son into fishing. It's a great way to spend time together, and also most importantly be OUTSIDE and enjoying all that there is associated with that. The fresh air, the water, getting lots of great sunlight. There are a lot of reasons to be out there that's for sure!
One of the unexpected reasons as well though, is that sometimes you end up running into a spot that has some FREE SNACKS! :D
One of our favorite places to fish has lots of different areas associated with it. It's a good sized lake, and we've been over it as much as one could be when they are on the shore and using things like waders. That also means that we've found some really cool gems pretty often!
One of the favorite gems of mine is that there is one area that has a LOT of blueberry bushes all over it! The bushes are so old that they are freaking blueberry TREES. They are huge! This is the perfect time of the summer as well, because those bushes are full of delicious and perfectly ripe blueberries for the picking!
The little man and I were out fishing there the other day, enjoying being in the water with our waders on when we came over to the area and saw that the bushes were full to the brim with lots of tasty morsels. There's nothing like having a fun few hours on the water fishing with your buddy and as well enjoying several handfuls of ultra healthy and delicious berries for free.
Thankfully we also got to the berries before the birds do. Of course, as one would expect, bushes full of berries also means that there's competition for the fruits! The birds are the preferable choice for the bushes I'm sure, because they eat the berries and then shit out the seeds in the relative same vicinity. Of course the bushes don't know that when we shit it goes into large pipes and gets sent really far away from the local area, but that's besides the point.
When we came to the spot a week prior, the berries were certainly out there and available but not in the really large quantities that they were when we were there in the most recent outing. We both enjoyed 5 or 6 handfuls of the things while we were fishing, it was awesome!
I love seeing the way the berries and bushes look flipping them over to black and white. They have a pretty unique look to them, especially because in black and white, the dark blue/purple berries tend to almost blend in with the rest of the plant, so much so that you can hardly notice 'em!
