Hello friends, today I invite you to enjoy a new series of my street photographs combined in color and black and white versions. Those of you who have seen my previous publications with this visual theme, will already know that it is a kind of creative experiment carried out with my photos, this time entirely of a street character, shown in a horizontal assembly where the versions of the same reflected in mirror mode converge (or diverge in some cases) one with dramatized colors and the other desaturated. The way this happens is random, I mean the order of the color version versus its black and white counterpart and the converging or diverging sense of the lines present in each photo. The final result then depends on my perception and my intention to make sense of the resulting bi-frontal image... I invite you then to continue ahead in this publication and appreciate my work today for you...

Hola amigos, hoy los invito a disfrutar de una nueva serie de mis fotografías callejeras combinadas en sus versiones a color y en blanco y negro. Aquellos de ustedes quienes hayan visto mis publicaciones anteriores con esta temática visual, ya sabrán que se trata de una suerte de experimento creativo realizado con mis fotos, esta vez en su totalidad de carácter callejero, mostradas en un ensamble horizontal en donde convergen (o divergen en algunos casos) las versiones de una misma reflejadas en modo espejo, una con colores dramatizados y la otra desaturada. La manera en la que esto ocurre es aleatoria, me refiero al orden de la versión a color versus su contraparte en blanco y negro y al sentido convergente o divergente de las líneas presentes en cada foto. El resultado final depende entonces de mi percepción y de mi intención de encontrarle sentido a la imagen bi-frontal resultante... For this series, I focused on refining my selection of photographs. I used photos taken only in the streets as I said previously, but I also tried to make these photos have a lot of lines which would serve me later to create symmetrical visual concepts (that's why the titles of these photos come to me once I have them combined on the screen and not before, by the way). In addition to the lines, I also took advantage of well-defined chromatic elements present in each image. So, in a way, it can be said that: "I am gradually learning to take photos specifically to do this kind of work." Although, as happens in everything that relates to my photographic work, my instinct always ends up playing a preponderant role...

Para esta serie, me enfoqué en depurar mi selección de fotografías. Utilice fotos de tomadas solo en las calles tal como dije previamente, pero también procuré que estás fotos tuviesen un montón de líneas las cuales me sirviesen posteriormente para crear conceptos visuales simétricos (por eso los títulos de estas fotos vienen a mi una vez las tengo combinadas en la pantalla y no antes, por cierto). Además de las líneas, también me aproveché de elementos cromáticos bien definidos presentes en cada imagen. Así que, de alguna manera, se puede decir que: "gradualmente estoy aprendiendo a tomar fotos específicamente para hacer este tipo de trabajos". Aunque, como sucede en todo lo que me relaciona con el trabajo fotográfico, mi instinto siempre termina por jugar un papel preponderante...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
