Coffee brewing, the Redfox walked to his kitchen cabinet with his jeans slightly hanging around his waistline to obtain his coffee mug. Pouring the almost black liquid into his mug, he blew on it a little and took a sip. He then took his TV remote to get an update of the hostage situation that had lasted almost the whole day.
Putting on the TV to display a man dressed in a well tailored suit as he anchored the news program. He said,
"For the past 12 hours, the hostage situation at the Grace Street Café located in George Town, Washington DC has broken the record to be the longest. Reports confirming that prominent citizens of the country were held hostage and our reporters spotted the chief of staff Nathan Brighton, director of Cia Whyte Parker and the director of FBI Julia George with other citizens and staff of the Cafe. It's been 12 hours with the FBI and other specialists on site but the people who are held hostage in the cafe are yet to be released to reunite with their loved ones".
12 hours earlier
"Just wondering why Whyte is always late to meetings. For his sake he better get here fast" Nathan said to Julia as they both were waiting on Whyte.
Few moments later, Whyte arrived at the Grace Street Café. It was a bit early in the morning and they were all dressed casually for the meeting which is meant to be brief to settle an urgent matter of the country at hand. Few people were in the Cafe as their security details minimized the number of people that came in. As they were deep in conversation, a man came into the cafe in blue joggers and running shoes. He went to order for his coffee and then later went to use the café's bathroom. Few minutes later the same man came out with a gun, took out the security details through the glass professionally and ordered one of the workers at gunpoint to lock down the cafe.
"If you do as I say no one will get hurt and I would advise not talking at all!." the man in blue joggers said as his left eye began to twitch.
Beckoning on his two other partners, who were among the workers of the café as a disguise to tie up Nathan, Whyte and Julia to the coffee table where they were seated. Nathan and Julie corporated to avoid any violence but Whyte didn't. As he struggled with them, they shot him in his right leg. Whyte screamed in pain as he began to bleed profusely. Then the man in blue joggers went to point his gun both to Nathan and Julia and said, "you see that, I am not here to play, you don't corporate, I blow your brains out".
"But he will bleed out if you don't see to his wounds" Julia said.
"You want to join him too, Senorita? Talk again and I won't hesitate!" the man in blue joggers said.
About an hour had passed, Whyte was beginning to lose more blood as he had no medical attention. The three men remove their jackets, leaving them with their inner wear, revealing their tattoos. Julia recognized their tattoos immediately and whispered to both Nathan and Whyte.
"Those men were in the military, I recognize their tattoos but I can't remember which group they belong to"
"Shit! And now they are holding us hostage for what? Only God knows. They must want something probably from any of us or the President". Nathan whispered
"Hey! What did I say about talking?!" one of the men said as he purposely shot close to Julia which made her scream and Nathan closed his eyes in fear as he raised his hands in surrender mood.
15 hours later
Two choppers were up high as their flashlight lit up the whole Cafe area, the policemen and FBI agent began to clear up reporters, journalists and some people from the driveway to the cafe. Few moments later into clearing up people from the driveway, from a distance a Ducati Panigale bike roared through the driveway at minimum speed. The Redfox has been summoned to diffuse the hostage situation.
Whispers came from everyone as the Redfox came down from his bike all six four feet tall, muscular, dressed in black pants, leather jacket, gloves and mask which served as his disguise. The FBI quickly made way for him as he quietly walked close to the cafe by side so as to surprise the hostage takers unaware. He set his backpack on the floor as he bought out the tools he needed. Then he gave the FBI the signal with his hand to turn off all the surrounding lights and that of the cafe.
Next a tactical team went to the back of the building and cut off the light supply to the cafe. Afterwards, several gunshots came from inside the cafe and the Redfox rode on the distraction as he gained entry swiftly into the cafe. Afterwards, there was a tear gas explosion inside the cafe and the hostages came out running as fast as their legs could take them.
Julia and Nathan began to scream for help and the first aid responders on site came running towards them to see Whyte's condition. As Whyte was being attended to, more screams of pain came from the building and everyone began to watch out in suspense for what happened next. Then there was an unusual silence in the building as the Redfox walked out of the building with two bullet holes in his leather jacket, packed up his backpack and walked to his bike.
The FBI swamped the buildings as the hostage takers were apprehended and cuffed to be charged for their crimes. The Redfox's bike roared to life, then he looked at the FBI agent who spearheaded the hostage situation, nodded at him and left the scene with a screeching sound.
On his way home, he received a call from the Pentagon.
"Redfox speaking"
"Confirm status, Zeta, omega, 77764, Georgia Town, airborne division"
"Situation neutralized and contained"
With that the Redfox ended the call. Another mission successful.
