Carl es un joven ejemplar, desde pequeño siempre fue uno de los más destacados de su colegio. Su pasión es la ingeniería tanto así que inclusive se graduó con honores. Siempre era amable con todos y cuando alguien necesitaba ayuda, él estaba ahí.
No sería problema para él conseguir trabajo y así fue, una gran empresa lo contrató para que les construyera un enorme edificio, Carl estaba más que feliz que nunca.

Nuestro protagonista se puso manos a la obra, contrató el personal para comenzar la obra pero lo que no sabía es que dentro de esos empleados estaría la persona que le haria cambiar su vida para siempre. La obra habia comenzado muy bien hasta que un empleado perdió el equilibrio en un andamio y cayó al suelo desde unos 2 metros de altura, afortunadamente no pasó a mayores y tuvo una pequeña fisura en la muñeca a pesar de la caída se pudo levantar y lo llevaron al hospital.
Al día siguiente Carl que estaba preocupado por lo que le había sucedido al empleado, decidió ir a su casa y llevarle un obsequio, al llegar a la casa del empleado se sorprendió del lugar en el que vivía -Es muy deplorable- pensó. Tocó a la puerta y allí estaba el sujeto con la mano enyesada, le entregó lo que le llevaba y le preguntó su nombre porque se le había olvidado, al cual respondió -Me llamo Víctor-, -¿Que tal estás Víctor?, si necesitas algo aqui te dejo mi número no dudes en contactarme-, -He estado mejor,Ok muchas gracias Ingeniero-, -Nos vemos Victor espero y te recuperes pronto- a lo que Víctor respondió con una voz algo arrogante -Si, está bien-.

Ha pasado más de una semana desde que Carl fue a visitar a Víctor, sorpresivamente suena el celular de Carl -RING RING- era un número de teléfono público y decidió contestar -Aló-, -Aló es Víctor necesito hablar con usted señor ingeniero, lo veo en el bar que queda cerca de la construción hoy a las 8:00pm-, Víctor colgó sin dejar que Carl pudiese dar una respuesta pero como ya sabemos, él no diría que no.
Llegó la hora para reunirse con Víctor, al entrar al bar Carl pudo notar que su empleado había estado bebiendo desde más temprano, al sentarse en la barra pudo notar que estaba algo molesto además de ebrio a lo que quiso entablar una conversación:
-Carl: Te noto algo molesto ¿pasa algo?, para que querías verme aquí
-Víctor: Mi esposa me engañó quería ahogar mis penas en licor
-Carl: Y por eso estás molesto, tranquilo todos pagamos lo que hacemos
-Víctor: Si eso creo, necesito que me prestes tu celular voy a hacer una llamada
-Carl: Está bien, toma
Extrañamente se alejó para hacer la llamada, tardó mas de 15 minutos en volver a la barra.
-Víctor: Gracias por la llamada, necesito que me lleves a un lugar no muy lejos de aqui
-Carl: Si, está bien no hay problema, vamos
Llegaron al lugar que le había mencionado, Víctor le dice que se baje y lo acompañe, al entrar era otro bar. Carl no entendía nada miraba a todos lados porque Víctor se le había perdido de vista, cuando de repente se escucha un grito muy fuerte -APARTENSE O LE VUELO LOS SESOS- al voltear vió a un Víctor enfurecido tomando a una mujer por el cuello y apuntándole con un arma de fuego en la cabeza, estaba en shock totalmente no lo podía creer, no sabía en lo que se había metido.

Víctor llevó arrastrando a la mujer y salieron del bar, Carl lo seguía muy de cerca aunque no sabía quien era la mujer tuvo la corazonada de que era la ex esposa. Ya fuera del bar quiso medir palabras con Víctor:
-Carl: Amigo, no sé porque haces ésto pero ten la seguridad que todo se puede resolver, suéltala la policía ya viene en camino
-Víctor. No lo haré, ella jugó conmigo no puedo perdonarla
-Carl: Escucha, las sirenas de la policía, están a punto de llegar suéltala ya
La policía llegó al sitio y formó un perímetro alrededor de los 3 apuntando sus armas en todo momento, para ellos Carl era un posible cómplice o intermediario, en un último esfuerzo lo intentó convencer a escasos dos metros:
-Carl: Mira Víctor la policía ya está aquí, suéltala o será peor, ella ya no tiene nada que ver contigo
-Víctor: Yo la amo ella me tiene que amar también
La rehén al escuchar ésto se estremeció y dijo -Yo nunca te amé malnacido-, Víctor se quedó conmocionado ante estas declaraciones, ella se logró soltar en ese momento y sin pensarlo descargó su arma sobre el rostro de la que fue su esposa 3 tiros se pudieron escuchar, ella todavía estaba de pie su cuerpo no había tocado el suelo, cuando sin pensarlo la policía descargó todo su arsenal contra Víctor fue una incontable cantidad de disparos, los dos habían perecido en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.

Para suerte de Carl pudo salir ileso, pero no se escaparía de pagar un par de años en la cárcel, ya que tenían pruebas en su contra asi es, la llamada telefónica desde su celular lo haría pagar, él ya no volvería a confíar tan fácil en cualquier persona, muchas veces creemos que siempre tenemos que ayudar a los demás pero lo que no sabemos es cuales son sus intenciones realmente y porque quieren que los ayuden.
