Estos últimos días han sido de reflexión profunda, pues el balance de nuestras actividades no ha sido muy positivo en muchos aspectos y es necesario rectificar para garantizar la continuidad del proyecto.
Viendo las cosas en retrospectiva, hace algún tiempo nos planteamos ir más allá de un proyecto de curación, a la vez que una escuela de curadores, y así decidimos incursionar en la parte de desarrollo y programar algunas herramientas que nos parecieron necesarias para la plataforma, como lo es el sistema de creación de cuentas, una página con información de los testigos de Hive, pero que estuviera en español y un programa al cual le dedicamos más de un año de tiempo casi completo y una inversión cuantiosa en dinero, como lo fue HBD Pay, una plataforma de pagos en HBD y HIVE, que estuvo completamente operativa, pero que no recibió apoyo y nos vimos en la necesidad de cerrarla.
Aparte de eso, decidimos iniciar nuestro propio testigo, como @la-colmena, el cual cumple el mes próximo, tres años activo, con un mínimo de bloques perdidos.
Adicionalmente, es necesario explicar que el sitio web https://la-colmena.me/, donde damos información acerca de Hive y hospedamos varios de los programas desarrollados por nosotros, tiene un costo alto, que se suma a los costos del testigo y a los del servidor donde alojamos el bot con el que operamos nuestro proyecto de curación.
Quizá esta excesiva diversificación ha llevado a que los distintos proyectos no se desarrollaran de la mejor manera y nos vemos en la necesidad de centrarnos, nuevamente, en un solo proyecto. Este será el originario, el de la escuela de curación y proyecto de curación de contenido en español.
El testigo lo mantendremos activo, mientras sea autosustentable, lo cual dependerá de que se mantenga en la posición actual en el ranking, o inclusive, que ascienda un poco más.
Esto marca el cierre de la etapa de desarrollo de aplicaciones por parte de nuestro proyecto.
Ahora adquieren más importancia los datos estadísticos que hemos venido publicando, acerca de los votos de @la-colmena y del desempeño de los curadores.
These last few days have been ones of deep reflection, as the outcome of our activities has not been very positive in many respects and it is necessary to rectify this in order to ensure the continuity of the project.
Looking back, some time ago we decided to go beyond a curation project and at the same time become a school for curators, so we decided to venture into development and program some tools that we felt were necessary for the platform, such as the account creation system, a page with information about Hive witnesses, but in Spanish, and a program to which we dedicated more than a year of almost full-time work and a substantial investment of money, such as HBD Pay, a payment platform in HBD and HIVE, which was fully operational but did not receive support and we found ourselves forced to close it.
Apart from that, we decided to start our own witness, @la-colmena, which will be active for three years next month, with a minimum of lost blocks.
Additionally, it is necessary to explain that the website https://la-colmena.me/, where we provide information about Hive and host several of the programs we have developed, has a high cost, which is added to the costs of the witness and the server where we host the bot with which we operate our curation project.
Perhaps this excessive diversification has led to the various projects not being developed in the best way, and we find ourselves needing to focus, once again, on a single project. This will be the original one, the curation school and Spanish-language content curation project.
We will keep the witness active as long as it is self-sustaining, which will depend on it maintaining its current position in the ranking, or even rising a little higher.
This marks the end of the application development stage of our project.
Now, the statistical data we have been publishing about @la-colmena votes and curator performance takes on greater importance.
