Hello guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to sharing my battle strategy in Lost Magic. These rulesets are quite easy to find in battle, and the strategy that we can use is also quite simple, that is by utilizing other attacks such as Range or Melee. You only need to adjust to your own battle style, because I'm sure all players have different styles.
On this occasion I will share one of the strategies that you can use in dealing with Lost Magic rulesets, by using other supporting rulesets that I hope you will like. This can also be one of the references you can consider if you are in a similar situation.
Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern battles on Gold leagues, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league. Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!
BATTLE PREPARATION
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Lost Magic (Monsters with magic attacks may not be used in battles)
- Are You Not Entertained? (One Additional Gladius card may be used in battles)
- Fire and Regret (All Monsters have the Return Fire ability)
- Mana Capacity 99
- Active Element Fire, Death and Dragon.
Line Up and Strategy
Rulesets with mana 99 in my opinion are a bit annoying, it is quite difficult to guess the strategy that the opponent will use, so we will find it difficult to use the counter strategy and better use the attacking strategy. And broadly speaking, the strategies that we can use according to the rulesets above are:
- Make the most of Melee's attacks by adding buffs.
- Use the monster Thorn, if you have one.
- Use Demoralize monsters to debuff opponents' attacks.
- Avoid using Range attacks, because the attack will reverse direction
- Maximize defense by using the strongest Tanks and using Protect and Repair monsters to strengthen defense.
You can see the line-ups of both teams in the image below.
The opponent uses Summoner Quix The Devious with a combination of monste from Dragon and Death elements. In the first position there is a Thorn monster, Djinn Chwala as a tank, then in second position there is a Reach monster, Cargane Titan with Double Strike and Shield abilities. Positions 3-6 are Range mosnter from Deah elements, namely Queen of Crown, Zyriel, Lira The Darkk, and Raa. I don't know exactly what strategy the opponent uses, but what I see at a glance is that the opponent uses speed as the main point.
Unlike the opponent's strategy, I use Tarsa with 5 Melee monsters and only 1 range monster. I'll explain the strategy of each monster I chose in the table below:
Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
Tarsa | Summoner | +1 Melee | Tarsa will increase attacks for all Melee monsters, this is in accordance with the stargei I talked about above. |
Grum Flameblade | First | Bloodlust, Void Armor, Void, Giant Killer | Grum Flameblade with all its stats and abilities is a very strong tank, even this is a non-Gladius monster that has the Bloodust ability. Unfortunately this monster is very slow, as it only has 1 mana. Considering this is a battle with mana 99, it is possible that the opponent will also use monsters with very large mana so that Giant killers can be useful well. |
Radiated Brute | Second | Reach, Enrage | One of the Reach monsters that is always used in both middle mana and high mana battles. This is because the cards I have are quite limited, but even so, Radiated Brute is not a bad card because with medium mana it already has great damage and if Enrage is active, the damage will also be even greater. |
Ferox Defender | Third | Protect, Repair | Ferox Defender even though when not in the first position cannot attack, the amun ability possessed by this monster is very useful for defense because it has a Protect ability that will add 2 Armor for all friendly monsters, and the Repair ability will repair back 2 damaged Armor for one of the most attacked friendly monsters. |
Fina Foxxom | Fourth | Opportunity, Bloodlust | Fina Foxxom is a card Galdius who will be the entertainer in this battle. If the Bloodust ability activates after killing the target, then the stats possessed by this monster will increase, so this will be a very interesting show. |
Firecellar | Fifth | Martyr | The only Range monster in my formation, I deliberately used this Fire and Regret ruleset with the aim of making this monster die as soon as possible because this monster has the Martyr ability. If Martyr is active because this monster is dead, then the stats of the monster next to this momster will go up. |
Tenyii Striker | Last | Sneak, Dodge | Tenyii Striker as an attacker and also a rear tank to be the target of the opponent's Sneak Monster. This is because this mo nster has a Dogde ability that will increase the chance of avoiding melee and range attacks. |
BATTLEFIELD ARENA
I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.
This battle is quite interesting with both teams having balanced strength. Are You Not Entertained? so let this battle entertain you with some very interesting moments including when Bloodust is active, Martyr is active, or attacks that turn around both because of Thorn and Return Fire.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy I applied worked very well, and one of the keys to the victory I got was the careless strategy used by the opponent. Why do I say that, it's because the opponent uses 4 Range monsters in the Fire and Regret ruleset where all minsters have Return Fire ability. If a monster with a range performs an attack, the attack will also turn to attack the attacker. Fina Foxxon, whose Bloodlust is active many times, became the MVP in this battle.
