what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I am sharing my battle this time in new format of battle challenge that discussion about using only melee ruleset battle. Sometimes this ruleset can be tricky. Without the limited with using just melee only. The option can be very simple with just wanna buffing the melee attack or debuffing melee attack or you can using speed and depending to RNG but i am very not suggesting using RNG battle. i dont know if you are a lucky person but in my case i am having such as a bad luck or more worst luck in this game. Even when i am just 1 speed different my monster can missing the attack, which is the chance is very low right. But,in contrary the opponent that having high speed different to me in this case mine is way higher than the opponent, the opponent never miss in 4 round in row. Thats why i cna say that my luck in this game RNG is very worst.
Up Close & Personal ruleset description is Only units with melee attacks can be used.Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
Units with 2 types of attacks (including melee) can be used. So, using monster like Quora or Tatiana Blayde or Drybone Raider is pretty good too. But, somehow like Quora cannot be used unless using Summoner that having conscript ability or having ruleset like Are you entertained yet that can make both players can bringing Gladiator units. Or if you using like Drybone Raider you need combined with the manacap, somehow it is not a better way bringing just 1 monster units that having high manacost. But lets see what my strategy in this ruleset.
Strategy Phase
As you can see in the picture above this battle just have 2 ruleset that is Are Yout Not Entertained? which is both players can bringing one additional Gladiator card into battlefield. The second ruleset is Up Close & Personal that means only melee monster units can be bringing into battlefield but monster with having 2 types attacks can be used too. The manacap in this battle is just 40 which is prety low for melee only, somehow many melee units role as a tanker and attacker that consume medium until high manacost. Especially units that having 2 types attack like Drybone Raider thats why 40 manacap is pretty much low. The only element that cannot be used in this battle is water element. whereas water element is the only element that having pretty good melee monster units in there. For your information in this battle i am using my own account that playing in Silver League Modern Format and i am rented player. And this time i am renting Fire element,Life Element,Death Element, and Dragon Element. And my strategy in this ruleset i want to combined the speed and and the bloodlust effect. So this is my strategy, you can check in the table below

This ability make this monster having chance to counter attacking the attacker. And Up Close & personal ruleset force both players using melee right. Not only the Retaliate army this monster also having pretty good melee attack that can be a troublesome tanker and attacker. | |
 | Secondliner Attacker |  | Radiated Brute is very suitable in this battle, this monster having pretty good Melee attack and speed, and having buff from Jacek this monster is pretty helpful to make opponent frontliner tanker got damage from my combination attack with The Forgotten One. | |
 | Main Attacker |   | Fina Voxom is one of the legendary units in gladius fire element that having Opportunity and having pretty good status and very suitable in this ruleset battle so this monster can beating up the lowest health monster first in the opponent line up and can activate the bloodlust effect as fast as possible. And when the bloodlust activate this monster will be unbeatable when comes in the frontline. | |
 | Attacker | | I am using this monster because i need to support my main attacker Fina Voxom to breaking the armor of opponent line up if opponent having armor in it. So with this monster attacking first i think the second attacker will be Fina Voxom and that will make Fina having higher chance to activate the bloodlust ability and make my Fina Voxom unbeatable. | |
 | Debuff Support |   | I am using this monster as a backliner tanker that i need this monster ability to debuffing opponent melee monster line up and if the opponent having weaker in melee damage, it can make my line up holding more longer and having chance to defeat opponent line up first. | |
 | Back Attacker |   | I am placing this monster in the backline because this monster having dodge ability that having chance to dodge opponent sneak monster.Hoping that additional speed buff from Jacek combined with dodge ability will make this monster cannot be hit. or at least can give some damage for opponent backliner first before this monster defeated. |
So, what do you think with my strategy guys? I think my strategy quite good for this ruleset with focused in Fina Voxom as core attacker and can be a hyper carry with bloodlust ability. So, lets see how the battle goes this time, lets go to the battlephase, shall we
Battlephase
Okay this is weird that the opponent using Conscript ability summoner that in this ruleset battle can give both player using one gladius card. and with that opponent can bringing 2 gladius cards in this battle. Really i am curious what opponent bring this time with just 40 manacap.So lets go in round 1
Round 1
As usual in first round both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. in this battle my team mates got 2 speed buff from my summoner Conqueror Jacek and giving all my team mates piercing and scattershot ability. Then in opponent team got 1 Speed buff from opponent summoner Helios Matriarch and got 1 melee debuff from my Disintegrator ability demoralize. And in this battle i can see opponent bringing 2 gladius monster that from earth element. I can say that 2 opponent Gladius from earth element called Katrelba Gobson and Bertrol Gobson is very strong if the bloodlust activated. I am very grateful this time i am using Conqueror Jacek to make all my line up getting 2 speed buff that will make my team can attacking and killing first before opponent can landing my team mates. After buff and debuff the battle started and my team attacking first with my Serpentine Spy opening the attack and defeat opponent Bertrol Gobson first. After that my Fina Voxom defeat opponent Dhampir Infiltrator and with that will activate bloodlust ability. After that my Tenyii Striker attacking opponent Hill Giant and then my Radiated Brute attacking opponent frontline tanker and just damaging opponent armor. After that opponent Carnage Titan attacking my Forgotten one and just one time got retaliate and damaging opponent Carnage Titan armor, and the last and not least opponent Mycelic Infantry missing atacking my Forgotten One.
Round 2
After leading in round 1 by defeating 2 opponent monster line up, in this round, i think opponent will be hard to defeat my team with leaving just low damage monster and low speed monster, especially my Fina Voxom already activated the bloodlust effect. The first attack in this round is FIna Voxom defeat opponent Katrelba Gobson and once again activate the bloodlust. And combination attack from Tenyii Striker and Serpentine Spy defeated opponent Hill Giant. Leaving just 2 monster that very sturdy in opponent team. But,with combination attack from my team i think they cannot survive long enough and make the table turned.
Round 3 (last )
In Round 3 once again my Fina Voxom defeated opponent Mycelic Infantry and once again activating bloodlust. The combination attack from Radiated brute, Serpentine Spy, and Tenyii Striker attacking opponent Carnage Titan but still can holding from total attacking like that and after Carnage Titan attacking my Forgotten One and got Retaliate ability, Opponent Carnage Titan got defeated.

Faster Strike with Fina Voxom
Conclution
After experiencing this battle i can say that Conqueror Jacek still can be used in modern format especially in silver league. But, somehow of course we cannot deny that fire element is the weakest element in this entire element. But, dont forget the untamed summoner Yodin Zaku that very overpowered, but i think untamed is very overpowered in modern format this time and it will not long lasting, after rebellion edition release, i think the untamed goes to wild format and the overpowered meta will be changed. New era need to begin, and the game need new refresh. So, really when the battle using melee dont ever underestimated fire element, Many fire element melee units is very strong even though the have slow speed. But back again with bad luck RNG it better uisng Water element right. So i think my suggestion for the dev to make the balancing of the element, dev need to balancing the RNG, make it back normal and really banned opponent that using any helper at all. private helper also. That will make balancing the element.
