Hello Splintermates, Praetorians and Hiveans,
This week splinterlands community engagement challenge, i am going to share the fire-death magic powerplay combo. Not a so strong combination but a combination i often used specially at odd mana ruleset. This combination will be composed mostly of magic monster .

AN UNLUCKY 0-8
After going 8-0 from my brawl, I then expereinced going 0-8 mostly to a strong opponent that are not owned or not rented cards. With this, it is a challenge to find a combination to have a chance to win against this strong opponent. So what i will be sharing is a win against one of those strong players.

THE BATTLE
This battle is a 34 mana battle with target practice, armored up and odd ones out ruleset against a strong opponent. This is against a strong opponent where i used lorkus as my archon summuning my fire-death magic team.

RULESET
RULESET | DESCRIPTION |
 | Target Practice - All units with magic and ranged attacks have snipe ( magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position |
 | Armored Up - all units gains +2 unit armor |
 | Odd Ones Out - You can only summon units with odd mana costs |

THE FIRE - DEATH MAGIC POWERPLAY COMBO TEAM
ARCHON | UNIT 1 | UNIT 2 | UNIT 3 | UNIT 4 | UNIT 5 | UNIT 6 |
Lorkus | Halfling Refugee | Ujurak Elder | Flame for Hire | Chaos Evoker | Chaos Adjutant | Baron Fyatt |
1. Lorkus - is a 7 mana rebellion card. It is dual fire and death legendary archon. It provides plus 1 melee and plus 1 magic attack to all friendly units at the start of the battle. It also gives added two type of tactics , first option provides life leech (increase health and max health by 50% of damage dealth) and affliction (50% to apply afflicted after a succesful attack ) ability to two units. Second option gives trample (after using a melee attack to defeat a unit, performs another melee attack to the next position) and fury ( deals double damage to if the target has taunt ) ability to two units. Lorkus is very good when using magic and it is good to counter against eternal tofu's thorns.

2. HALFLING REFUGEE - - Halfling refugee is a neutral epic rebellion soulbound reward card. It has become my most used low mana tank because of its 1 mana cost. At level 6 it has 5 melee attack, 8 health and 3 speed . It also has weary and heal ability even at level 3. This is very good in little league, back to basic's , poison, noxious fumes, melee mayhem ruleset and super sneak ruleset. I mostly used him as tank a low mana battle or as filler when 1 mana is needed.

3. UJURAK ELDER - is an 3 mana common rebellion neutral monster. At maxed level it has 1 magic attack, 3 health and 3 speed. It has camouflage (cannot be directly targeted unless in the first position), divine shield ( ignore all damage onces, after that the divine shield will be destroy), strengthen ( plus 1 max health to all allied units) and swiftness ( plus 1 speed to all allied units) ability. Great procuroine is good a low mana battle.

4. FLAME FOR HIRE - is a 5 mana rare fire monster that is part of the conclave arcana set. At level 3 it has 2 magic attack . It has also have 5 health and 2 speed. It has also an void ability (50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power) .

5. CHAOS EVOKER - is an 7 mana common rebellion fire modern soulbound reward card. At maxed level it has 2 magic attack with 2 armmor 7 health and 4 speed. It also has blasts ( deals additional 50% damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target ) and ambush ability (takes an extra turn prior to the first round of the battle) .

6. CHAOS ADJUTANT - is an 5 mana rare rebellion neutral modern soulbound reward card. At maxed level it has 2 magic attack and has 8 health and 3 speed. It also has scattershot ( magic and ranged attack - targets a random enemy unit ) and snare ability (100% chanced to hit and apply snared to targets with flying. Snared units loss all bonuses from flying) .

7. BARON FYATT - is a legendary death and fire promo card monster. It is a 5 mana death and fire magic monster. At maxed level it has 2 magic attack, 6 health and 2 speed. Baron fyatt has 4 abilities; halving ability (-50% to targets power (rounded up) after a succesful attack, scattershot ability ( magic and ranged targets a random opponent), ambush ability (takes an extra turn prior to the first round of the battle) and blind ability (all enemy melee and ranged attacks had a 15% higher chance of missing their target. Blind also affects units with phase). This is one of the magic monster i mostly used all the time .

MY STRATEGY AND POSITIONING
ARCHON | UNIT 1 | UNIT 2 | UNIT 3 | UNIT 4 | UNIT 5 | UNIT 6 |
Lorkus | Halfling Refugee | Ujurak Elder | Flame for Hire | Chaos Evoker | Chaos Adjutant | Baron Fyatt |

In this 34 mana battle with target practice, armored up and odd ones out ruleset against a very strong opponent my strategy is to use lorkus due to its added plus 1 magic with added life leech and affliction to 2 units (chaos evoker and baron fyatt). Then i used halfling refugee as my tank due to its low mana, high melee attack, high health and heal ability, supported by ujurak elder due to its magic attack and added ability . Third and fourth position is flame for hire and chaos evoker for their magic attack and to benefit from lorkus added plus 1 magic attack. Fifth position i used chaos adjutant while my last position baron fyatt will become the last standing having benefitted from plus 1 magic attack and life leech from the archon while halving my opponents attack. That means my 2nd to last position all possess magic attack which benifited from lorkus additional magic attack coposing a powerful magic combo specially in odds one out ruleset.
....HAVE A NICE DAY .....
