In my last post I've mentioned my new strategy of initially focusing into the Drakoshan type of cards. And with this community engagement challenge, it's a coincidence that they are offering a new Drakoshan card in the game store and that is Tasoshi Drakamoto. I find it funny that it is a parody of Bitcoin's Satoshi. But my first impression of it is that it looks like a card that I will be very useful in my strategy.

So first let's talk about how to acquire Tasoshi Drakamoto. Initially, you can find it selling at the Lyra and Lorn's section of Splinterlands' in-game shop.

I don't really have much idea on how this works but it requires vouchers instead of DEC. I have about 0.003 vouchers and would need 250 in order to purchase a single card. So apparently, you get vouchers daily as a reward for staking the SPS into your account. And since I'm barely at the 100 SPS, waiting for vouchers would take me forever.

There are already cards selling in the marketplace but the price is too steep, I would say. For almost $4 piece, I can already buy a legendary card at that price range. I see in the conversations in Discord that it is not as desirable as the former voucher card offer and it will drop in price at some point. It will be listed for three months so my strategy for now is to wait for a good price before buying.

Card Abilities
Sneak
Based on her looks and this sneak ability, I would assume Tasoshi Drakamoto is an assassin type of creature. Usually the weaker cards are positioned in the back row and Tasoshi would be an effective card for the job. What's interesting to me though is that she uses magic damage instead of melee which is mostly what sneak monsters I encounter are. Magic is very strong since it cannot be blocked by armor and it goes right into the health points of the enemies.

Inspire
Tasoshi's second ability is inspire which increases all melee damage of allies by 1. This will be really helpful especially for two other Drakoshan cards that I own, Dragon Egg Forager and Kei. Like sneak, Dragon Egg Forager has opportunity which also lets melee cards to attack from the back row. The only difference is that oppportunity targets the lowest health enemy card. Having an additional melee attack will be very beneficial for eliminating enemies. Kei on the other hand is typically positioned on the second slot because of reach. The bonus from inspire will help in destroying the enemy tank early.
Stun
Next ability is stun. It says there is a 50% chance to apply it to enemy cards on attack. And when stun is applied, it prevents the enemy from attacking on its next turn. This is probably one of the more annoying abilities I've encountered so far as it feels like it's not 50% but 100% chance to successfully apply when my cards are attacked. It's a good thing that Tasoshi has stun so I can now have the opportunity to use it myself.
Spite
Finally there is the spite ability. It says 100% to counterattack when defeated. I haven't really encountered a unit using this ability but from what I can interpret, it's like a last ditch effort to get back on the card that kills Tasoshi, like trying to take the opponent to the grave with her. Although that's pretty cool, it's the last ability that will be unlocked at level 6. I might not go over it and be satisfied with a stun at level 5 since maxing out Tasoshi is very expensive.

Partner Archon

Finally for the archon that I would use in combination with Tasoshi Drakamoto, it would be Kavor Skarn. I've already mentioned some Drakoshan cards that will go well with her and it would be most beneficial for all of them to receive a +1 speed bonus. Being faster than the enemy card means striking first, and it also means a potential to kill them without giving them a chance to fight back.
