Introduction
This week Back to basic. This is one of the rule set I actually hate / find it difficult to play. I don't know why because my opponent has the same rule set and my card deck is not that bad, I should come up with a good team.
I hope writing about might proof me wrong and it is only a feeling 🤣.
When it is combined with silenced summoners rule set it becomes even more depressed.
Ruleset
All monsters lose their abilities.
The summoners buffs/debuffs are still in place, like reach and trample from

Abilities Synergies / Strategy
There are no monster abilities that is synergies well with because other monster also do not have any abilities 🤣.
So it is up to the summoner abilities and the monsters core stat.
Two abilities that might be positive effected by this rule set. Normally they tend to have a lower mana cost because of their lack of abilities.
recharge, now that monster will hit every round with the normal attack
scattershot, now it becomes predictable where it will strike
In general i like monster with high health and armor
in this rule set.
Then there are the monsters that already did not have any abilities like:
Because they do not have any abilities that is reflected in the mana cost. Most of the time you pay more for the ability. Runemancer Florre not of course there you pay for the double attack and high health.
There is a particular attack order in my opinion/general lineups

Preferred teams
Really depended on other factors like:
- Other rule sets
- Mana cap
- What you opponent is often playing
- What cards and level do you own/rent
Here are some setups that I like to play. Viewed with the levels and stats that I own.
Summoner | #1 | #2 | #3 | #4 | #5 | #6 |

Strong magic and ranged team with very good tank that can now attack every round.
The void armor of Grandmaster Rathe. The Portal spinner is not predictable hitting the front target.

All magic. Not possible to get magic reflect monsters.
The chance is low in modern gold to see
I like this play because of the summoner buff +1 magic all monster do 3 damage ore more

Mixed setup the extra health of Possibilus the Wise together with the already high health monster this is pretty strong team i.m.o.
Avoid
I try to avoid low health monsters because they are now very squishy and have no protection from some abilities. Also monster with the redemption abilities becomes useless:
Monsters with very good abilities, those abilities are also in the mana cost, monster like:
, without the poison and sneak not that interresting
, mostly chosen for the extra shields that it does not get now.
Example battles
Placing of my ranged attack was not correct (ran out of time 🤣), win because of the Venari Heatsmith.
Pretty similar setup almost full magic do as much damage as possible. In this case I just win because of the extra magic monster and the level 3 Magi of Chaos.
