magic units gain the Snipe ability.
With the snipe ability an unit will Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
Note: here that is you have an ranged or magic unit with opportunity it will turn into an snipe ability

Abilities Synergies / Strategies
Martyr - Because you the chance is higher that you can predict where your opponent will attack units with martyr have an advantage so you can boost unit early in the match.
Magic reflect / Void / Void armor / Silence - there is an higher chance that your opponent will select an magic unit try to benefit from the target practice rules there for protect yourself with some magic attacks.
Return fire / Headwinds / Protect -
similar as magic protect you can also protect against ranged attackers with these abilities.
Avoid
None that i can think of just be aware of unit with no attack/magic or ranged units where you place them they likely be first targets.
Example battle
Strategy
Nice high mana match up with earth and water. Because of the magic reflect i assume less magic units so water with an melee team it will be.
With the Target practice into the mix you can think of how the enemy will attack and focus on that unit.
Rulesets
Target Practice:
This week rule set. All unit will gain the snipe ability. So ranged and magic units will attack range or magic units that are not in the first position or units without any attack type.
Counterspell:
All units will gain the magic reflect ability. So all magic unit will receive magic reflect damage. Simple avoid magic units or bring void with you.
Armored Up:
All units will gain to extra armor. With the knowledge that the chance on magic is limited nice to have. Think off to bring shatter or an magic unit with void.
The Lineup
Summoner
Card | Reason |
---|---|
![]() | Because my play will be heavily melee and i want to boost my second position the reach of this summoner is currently most important. |
Monsters Lineup
#1 | #2 | #3 | #4 | #5 | #6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Diemonshark (lvl 6)
Very strong tank and when it gets enrage it does an ton of damage. This unit is very often in my front line with an water melee play.
Coastal Sentry (lvl 8)
This is the unit that shines with Possibilus the Wise. Double attack with trample of the summoner great unit.
Venari Marksrat (lvl 2 GF)
This is the key unit with this strategy i will be targeted by opportunity units and snipe units in combination with River Hellondale this will boost adjacent unit twice.
Deeplurker (lvl 8)
Strong unit with opportunity and poisen also one of my most selected units.
River Hellondale (lvl 3)
This is selecte mainly for the resurrect of the Venari Marksrat. Because i go heavily on the melee the extra inspire, +1 melee damage is very usefull the only thing it need to stay alive long enough to resurrect Venari Marksrat, tricky with magic reflect, but confident that my opponent will target the correct unit.
Merdaali Guardian (lvl 6)
Risky in the back so my River Hellondale is not in he last position to be killed before it can resurrect. when no sneak unit are used this will nicely heal up the front.

Rounds
Start :
Lets analyse the lineup.
Indeed my assumption is correct there are two units that will target my Venari Marksrat.
That will be the boost that will lead me to victory in this battle.
I do not see many troubles so lets look at the rounds.
Round 1:
Two misses on my side one of my River Hellondale which is only nice so it does not gets any magic reflect damage before the resurrect.
Round 2:
First boost and resurrected now my Coastal Sentry is already very strong. It has killed on this round and therefore also got an trample
Round 3:
Second kill of Coastal Sentry with another trample this makes it very useful unit in combination with Possibilus the Wise. In the end of the round the second boost this is over for my opponent these units are now so strong.
Round 4:
Yet another trample just one more round.
Round 5:
Coastal Sentry finished it off with an kill and an trample kill love this combo.
Conclusion
This battle demonstrated that with certain rule sets you can determine more precisely where your opponent is going to attack. Note your opponent knows that also and can make use of the same strategy 🤣.
This setup with the martyr unit in the third position is great to boost you units. There are also few nice earth strategies that used this. Martyr in combination with Quora or any other bloodlust unit is also a very strong play with this rule set.
