There is this one combination of Summoner/Monster that I hate, and that is Llama and Kron in “low” mana (in this case 19). The Llama gives Kron first +2 Health, and then last stand – so he has 20 health and restores 1/3 each round, 6 health total. Not easy to kill that beast before he kills too many of my monsters, but it seems like I found the solution – for the first time I won against that combination!

As said, the enemy has Llama and Kron – in gold foil, so it’s not an easy enemy. It’s a wild silver league tournament.
I went for:
Grandmaster Rathe: +1 Shield, Void Armor and (very important in this particular game) – amplify.
1 Soul Fiend – Decoy, absorbs 2 attacks.
2 Pelacor Conjurer - High Speed, magic reflect (combined with amplify!)
3 Aves Sturgis – Weapons training, +2 magic for Pelacor and Chicken
4 Furious Chicken – usually a decoy, but works wonderful with weapons training
5 Stitch Leech – High Damage, Sneak
6 Celestial Harpy – Flying, nice damage, opportunity
The idea was to use the Grandmaster to a maximum, meaning, having all six monsters so they all get +1 shield (which with void armor is equal to an extra lifeline). It worked better than I though. Kron started out with 5 magic attack, 3 speed and 20 (!) health. Plus heal and divine shield.
First Round: I get him down to 10 health – which is good, since he only can heal 6.
Second Round: The Fiend says goodby, but that’s okay – Kron has to start the next round with only 5 health.
Third round: The final – the conjurer takes him down to 3, Kron heals himself back to 9 – but since is magic attack is 5, and the conjurer has magic reflect plus amplify, Kron only destroys the shield, but takes 4 damage! Even though the Stitch Leech misses, the Furious Chicken kills Kron off. Yes, the chicken kills Kron.
Hope you enjoyed this game, happy for any tips and remarks :-)
