Hola summoners! 🎮 This post is a special one... but before jumping into it, I have to say something: to find inspiration, I did what I love most in the world. 🌍💓
I took my bike 🚴♂️ and rode through the Olympic mountain of Montjuïc 🏞️ for more than an hour and a half. My legs were burning, but my mind was flying. And while I was riding? I was listening to the best Splinterlands podcast ever: @thepeoplesguild with @bjangles, featuring a great interview with the COO @davemccoy. 🎧
During the episode, they said something I completely agree with:
“The current state of the game is grace.” 🙏
And honestly? Yes. That’s exactly how I feel.
Splinterlands has shown that it can keep the value of all its assets—and even increase it! Just look at Rebellion 📈. Now that Conclave Arcana is out and Chaos Legion is no longer part of Modern, we are entering a brand-new chapter. ⚔️
Players will now compete using cards that were printed during a low-demand period—but with new mechanics that are exciting and game-changing. 🤯
And me? I invested a lot in this edition 💰, and I’m sure I’ll get great rewards from it. Every battle, every point, every Conflict—it all counts. 💎
So let’s start this journey with the first Archon I want to explore: Fithe Bladestone 💪🪓, the mighty dwarf who brings the strength of the mountains to the arena!
🪓 Dwarves in Splinterlands: A Personal Love Story 🍻⚙️
Let me share something with you, sumoners🎮 — I’ve loved dwarves since the early 90s, when I first read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. There was something about those proud and stubborn mountain folk that stayed with me ever since.
What do I like about them?
🔹 They are incredibly loyal.
🔹 They work hard, digging deep into the mountains or building strong kingdoms.
🔹 They’re brilliant engineers, always creating machines and weapons of war.
🔹 And of course… they love their beer! 🍺
But like all fantasy races, they have their flaws.
They can be stubborn like stone and never forget a single offense — they carry their book of grudges everywhere 📖⚔️. And yes… when it comes to gold, they can be a little greedy. 💰😅
Back in my Warhammer Fantasy days, I built a full dwarf army, and it was one of the best experiences I had in gaming. They were strong, tough, and always ready to fight. No tricks, no speed — just solid defense and raw power. 🛡️⚒️
But honestly? I never thought #Splinterlands — my favourite blockchain #play2earn game — would bring dwarves into the Modern format... and with mechanics that I truly enjoy. 🤯
It feels like a perfect match — two things I love finally coming together in battle. And believe me, these dwarves are not just for looks. They bring powerful Bloodlines, new synergies, and smart mechanics that are going to change the meta.
First of all let's take a look to this stats:

Fithe Bladestone costs only 4 mana, which means he can be used in Little League battles — a big advantage. He is also the only summoner in the game who gives armor to the whole team. And in Splinterlands, armor can completely change the battle. Just 1 point of armor can be the difference between life and death. It gives your frontline more time to survive — perfect for the dwarf style of holding the line! 🛡️
But that’s not all. Thanks to his Bloodline Dominion, Fithe can summon any dwarf in the game, no matter which Splinter they come from. Even better, he gives Void to all of them, showing how resistant dwarves are against magic. 🪓✨ This makes him a true game-changer in battles where magic rules the meta.
🔥 Fire Splinter Dwarves: Hot units You Can’t Ignore 🪓🔥
Let’s start with the Fire team. Under Fithe’s command, all dwarves in the Fire Splinter get 2 armor and Void — and that alone is already a massive boost. These two effects are key to surviving magic-heavy battles and holding the frontline like true dwarves.
Now let me show you one of my favourite Wombo Combos for mid-mana matches:
Cavewise + Vicious Giraffe.
Yes, you heard right — a gnome and a giraffe. Who would’ve guessed they’d make such a perfect pair? Cavewise has Ambush, which allows him to strike from the turn 0. And every time he hits, Vicious Giraffe’s attack increases thanks to Painforge. It’s beautiful mayhem. 🧠💥

Next up: A couple of fantastic legendaries:
Oridum Graybrow. Remember this name. Put him in the front and just wait for your enemy to try breaking through. He’s like a brick wall — also known as Venka killer for a reason.
Then we’ve got the Inept Healer — a unit with Corrupted Healing for only 3 mana! That’s insane value and can be a key piece in sustain strategies with all the damage from burning to feed painforge.

And last but definitely not least:
Blazebear Merc. Only 3 mana, but he brings 5 attack, Piercing, and Bloodlust! 🤯 That’s how you start real chaos. Add in units like Ashen and Flame for Hire, who now benefit from boosted magic under Blaze burning, and you’ve got an unstoppable fire squad!

💎 Hidden Dwarf Synergies in Modern Format 🪓✨
While filtering cards by the Dwarf type, I’ve found a few absolute gems that deserve more attention in the current Modern format. Let’s take a look at some of the best synergies Fithe unlocks! ⚔️
- Taunt Tanks: Bera Dallin & Swiftbeard Stout
The Dwarf army brings not one, but two powerful tanks with Taunt: Bera Dallin and Swiftbeard Stout. And yes — when played with Fithe, they both gain Void! 😱
Wait… Void on Bera? Yes, please! That extra magic defense makes her even harder to take down, giving the rest of your team precious time to strike back. Classic dwarf-style resilience! 🛡️
- Nature’s Surprise: Mad Kaboomist
This little guy caught me by surprise. For just 4 mana, Mad Kaboomist deals 3 magic damage with Snare and Sniping. But what really made me smile? Affliction.
Affliction is one of my favourite abilities — it shuts down healing and messes up sustain strategies completely. That’s why I always love having at least one unit with Affliction in my lineup. It’s a small detail that often makes a big difference. 🧠🔥
⚔️ Final Thoughts: The Rise of the Dwarves 🪓🔥
So there you have it, Summoners! 🎮 Fithe Bladestone is not just another summoner — he’s a full-on game-changer. With low mana cost, armor for the whole team, and Bloodline Dominion opening the doors to all dwarves, he brings strategy, flavor, and raw power to the Modern format. 💥
I’ve loved dwarves since I was a kid, but seeing them come alive in Splinterlands, with such clever mechanics and deep synergy, really feels special. It’s more than nostalgia — it’s smart design. And believe me, this is just the beginning. Dwarf decks will keep growing, and Fithe will be leading the charge.
If you’ve never tried building a dwarf squad before… now is the time. They’re tough, loyal, magic-resistant, and full of surprises — just like in the old stories. 🛡️⚙️
