I have chosen DOCTOR BLIGHT because of its creepiness so I have planned that this character should come out of a lightning place where he was looking for something in the dark mysterious world of Splinterlands
Let's see how I made this illustration the first fundamental step I did is to create a quick drawing outline. after the outline has finished I will add some clean structure inside the outline.
Then we move on to the colouring section I have divided it into three parts the first is basic character colour secondary Shadow third lighting effects first I fill the basic colours and had shadows contrast to the basic colours and I will plan the light.
The difficult part of this character designing light was I was planning to create a light that comes out of his lamp and affects his face and his background it took me more than 4 hours to figure out the best lighting condition and Shadows after all the lightning configuration is completed I converted into a gif file.
