Hey folks, its no surprise i'm super excited for this year in the SPL-Verse.
So much can move this year and im keen to be in it when it does.
I'm BLINGIT for those that don't know, an Aussie housewife, ex-nurse and very involved in the Ballet community (Hence - BLINGIT which means "bling-it" and put rhinestones on it :-) ) Gardener braving the world of the Queensland seasons. Which are SHIT at the moment as we are all flooding again.
next week it will be fires then a cane toad plague and we will be back to rain again. That is if we are lucky and don't end up with deadly snakes in the garden (eastern browns and Red belly blacks will kill you pretty fast)
BACK TO SPLINTERLANDS
I started a couple of years ago under the very watchful eye of @mattclarke who has been such a "force for good" in the SPL-Verse.
I have been accumulating SPS. HORDING CARDS like a crazy person, the more blingy (GF) the better and recently have started my land acquisitions.
I had 2 PLOTS last year. Now am up to like 66 or so.
Have nearly maxed the current rewards set and gone pretty hard there. now working on the stubborn last BCX and the GF cards
My strategy for the year ahead
Continue to watch the land market every morning to see where we are... Prices are moving, things are moving, for everyone getting rid, there are people waiting to pounce.
I also have been keeping an eye on the discord... writing down naughty and nice lists of peeps... beware if you a dick... i don't buy your land... lol lol...
ok not really, but i am watching...
Gather as much as i can so i am ready for 2025.
KEY TIPS from me
Im worried with the new land update that research is going to be super valuable and unobtainable to the small fry like myself. So as grain is cheep i am buying grain and farming research :-)
that has been my current focus this xmas break. moving my plots off grain and over to research before i can't.
buying grain to cover the difference, and not run THAT dry either as i will need it when land changes and i loose 1/3 of my grain plots. (but gain others)
also keeping a strong eye on the card market. The new mode is going to see some major movements in prices of certain cards, and also rentals. I'm keen to see what happens here.
All you folk bitching about CL overprint... well.. yes perhaps for the time it was too many... but you better get all the cards before land drops! you get land dropping in 2025, the new mode in 2025, and some new players in 2025 when the new set drops and boom you have a recipe for a huge card suck and price movements. A bit like rebellion now, it will just dissapear i think.

What are the number of BCX in print in splinterlands and what is that number divided by the total land plots??? i would be keen to know that number. I must go look it up
Concluding remarks.
Having read my post, i'm like... sigh... that is a jumbled "morning after NYE post" where i have not had enough coffee. However the sentiment is there.
I am excited by 2025. If you are NOT excited at the thought of splinterlands in 2025, then give me all your cards and go home :-)
