Greetings, Splinterlands community! Time is ticking, and the Arcane Conclave Edition is already in its pre-sale phase. There are only a few weeks left until the final sale and pack openings begin. My budget is quite limited, so I'll have to buy the cards directly from the marketplace. This will be a long process for me to build up the Arcane Conclave collection, so I have to supplement it with the reward cards we get in the Glint Shop.

Mi presupuesto es bastante limitado asi que me tocará comprar las cartas directamente en el mercado esto será un proceso largo para mi tener la colección Conclave Arcana lo suficientemente fuerte, así que me toca complementarla con las cartas rewards que obtenemos en la tienda de glints.
In previous posts, I've done a series dedicated to reviewing common and rare reward cards, evaluating their potential in ranked matches in the Modern format. Well, this time, we'll begin a series dedicated to reviewing the capabilities of epic reward cards. I generally left these cards third in my order of priority, and the ones I have are mostly obtained from reward chests when I level up in the league, since I've only recently started buying epic card draws.
En publicaciones anteriores realicé una serie dedicado a reseñar las cartas comunes y raras rewards, evaluando su potencial en las partidas clasificatorias del formato moderno. Bien en esta ocasión comenzaremos la serie dedicadas a reseñar las capacidades de las cartas rewards épicas. En general estas cartas las dejé de terceras en mi orden de prioridad y las que tengo en su mayoría son obtenidas en los cofres de recompensas al subir de liga ya que es recientemente que estoy comprando sorteos de cartas épicas.
Even though they're not at the level I want, I've already won several games with these cards at my current level, so we'll start these serial reviews with two epic reward cards: Shock Trooper & Halfling Refugee. Let's get started!
Aún cuando no están en el nivel que quiero ya he ganado varias partidas con estas cartas en el nivel actual, asi que comenzaremos estas reseñas seriales con 2 cartas épicas rewards: Shock Trooper & Halfling Refugee. Comencemos!
Shock Trooper
Let's start with one of the wildest epic cards in these new Rebellion rewards cards, and none other than Shock Trooper. This card has many advantages, but using it in many cases is a huge risk, so using this card in battle requires a thorough understanding of the battlefield conditions. Let's start by examining the advantages/disadvantages of this card and then determine when it's best to use it.
Comencemos por una de las cartas épicas más salvajes que tiene estas nuevas cartas rewards Rebellion y no otro más que Shock Trooper, esta carta tiene muchísimas ventajas pero usarlo en muchos casos es un gran riesgo por lo que usar esta carta en batalla requiere de estudiar muy bien las condiciones en el campo de batalla. Comencemos por cuales son las ventajas/desventajas que tiene esta carta y desde alli definir en que momento es ideal utilizarlo.
Advantages/Ventajas
1. High Magic Damage/Alto Daño Mágico
The advantage that is by far the most obvious is the high magic damage this card has. It's incredible how this card has a base damage of 4, making it seem more like a legendary card. With such damage, combined with other magic cards like Nerissa Tridawn and Riverboat Captain, they make a powerful lineup reminiscent of the former glory of the water class as a primarily magical attack element.
La ventaja que por mucho es la más obvia es el gran daño mágico que tiene esta carta, es increible como esta carta tiene un daño base de 4 pareciendo más una carta legendaria. Con un daño así combinado con otras cartas mágicas como Nerissa Tridawn y Riverboat Captain hacen una potente alineación que recuerdan la antigua gloria que tuvo la clase agua como un elemento principalmente de ataque mágico.
2. Low Mana Cost/Bajo Coste de Mana
The second most notable advantage is its low mana cost, allowing us to use it in conditions like Little League or in battles with an extremely low mana cap like 12 or 13. It's in these conditions where this card really shines.
La segunda ventaja más destacable es su bajo coste de mana, permitiéndonos usarla en condiciones como little league o en batallas con un limite de mana extremadamente bajo como 12 o 13. Es en esas condiciones donde esta carta brilla con luz propia.
3. Swiftness
I was recently able to get this card to level 3 with two golden copies I was lucky enough to obtain in epic card draws, and since then, this card has acquired a new functionality for my Water-class strategies. At level 3, this card develops the Swiftness ability, which adds +1 speed to the entire team and becomes a huge advantage when using summoners like Possibilus the Wise, who don't favor speed, but rather durability and the effectiveness of melee lineups.
Fue recientemente que pude llevar esta carta a nivel 3 con 2 copias doradas que tuve la suerte de conseguir en los sorteos de cartas épicas y desde entonces esta carta ha adquirido una funcionalidad nueva para mis estrategias con la clase agua. Y es que resulta que en nivel 3 esta carta desarrolla la habilidad swiftness que suma +1 de velocidad a todo el equipo y se convierte en una gran ventaja cuando usas invocadores como Possibilus the Wise que no favorece la velocidad, sino la resistencia y la efectividad de alineaciones melé.
Disadvantages/Desventajas
1. Electrified
The only major drawback this card has is its Electrified ability. Honestly, I don't know if this ability will ever appear again in Arcane Conclave; it seems more like a strange way to balance the card's use. Electrified is more of an affliction that applies +1 electricity damage to your entire lineup after the first round. So, you should carefully consider when and how to use this card, as you could find yourself in a lose-lose situation because your units have weakened themselves by having a Shock Trooper in your ranks.
La única pero gran desventaja que tiene esta carta es su habilidad Electrified. Honestamente no sé si esta habilidad vuelva aparecer en Conclave Arcana, parece más bien una extraña forma de equilibrar el uso que puedes darle a esta carta. Electrified es más bien una aflicción que le aplica un daño de +1 de electricidad a toda tu alineación después del 1er round. Entonces debes considerar bien cuando y como utilizar esta carta ya que podrías encontrarte en una situación en la que pierdes porque tus unidades se auto debilitaron por llevar a Shock Trooper en tus filas.
1st Battle/1 era Batalla
So, considering Shock Trooper's advantages and disadvantages, I've come to the conclusion that this epic card pairs very well with Possibilus because it's a summoner that gives us a large enough life buffer to withstand the electrification for at least two rounds before starting to feel the effects of the electrification. During that time, we must make sure we're dealing a lot of damage to our opponent, and that's where tanks like Commander Slade and Coastal Sentry are a more than effective vanguard to demolish the defensive capacity of the enemy's front line. What limited me in many cases from using this combination was the lack of speed, which made you lose the initiative of the first attack, but with a Shock Trooper lvl 3 we can cover this lack.
Entonces, considerando las ventajas y desventajas de Shock Trooper, he llegado a la conclusión que esta carta épica va muy bien con Possibilus porque es un invocador que nos da un buffer de vida lo suficientemente grande como para aguantar la electrificación al menos 2 rounds antes de comenzar a resentir los efectos de la electrificación. En ese tiempo debemos asegurarnos de hacer un gran daño a nuestro oponente y alli es donde un Tanque como Commander Slade y Coastal Sentry son una vanguardia más que efectivo para demoler la capacidad defensiva en la primera línea enemiga. Lo que me limitaba en muchos casos usar esta combinación era la falta de velocidad lo que te hacía perder la iniciativa del primer ataque pero con un Shock Trooper lvl 3 podemos cubrir esta falta.

Rounds 1 - 3
We begin the first round and realize that our opponent is playing a strategy based on achieving high evasion rates to ultimately damage us with the Backfire granted by the summoner. However, we make sure to reduce the enemy's speed and boost our own speed to secure the first hit. Slade and Sentry's massive firepower begins to wreak havoc on the opponent from the very first round, eliminating Oshannus and then Endless Gibbon, while Shock Trooper manages to dispatch Spirit Hoarder, leaving our opponent with only 3 cards.
Comenzamos el primer round y podemos darnos cuenta que nuestro opnente esta jugando una estrategia basada en alcanzar altas tasas de evasión para terminar haciéndonos daño con el Backfire que le confiere el invocador, sin embargo nos aseguramos de reducir la velocidad enemiga y potenciar nuestra velocidad para asegurar el primer golpe. La gran potencia de fuego de Slade y Sentry comienzan hacer estragos en el oponente desde el mismo primer round eliminando a Oshannus y posteriormente a Endless Gibbon, mientras Shock Trooper se las arregla para despachar a Spirit Hoarder dejando a nuestro oponente con solo 3 cartas.
Rounds 4 - 6
Using Possibilus was a good choice because it allowed us to keep our lineup standing until the end of the 4th round. Later, in the final round, only Runemancer Kye remained. This is a difficult unit with great evasion and, worst of all, capable of lifestealing, which gives him time for Electrify to finish off our units. Therefore, it's important to consider the danger posed by units that steal life or have the Scavenger ability. Next battle!
Haber utilizado a Possibilus fue una buena elección porque nos permitió mantener nuestra alineación en pie hasta el final del 4 round, posteriormente en el último round, solo queda Runemancer Kye una difícil unidad con gran evasión y lo peor de todo, capaz de robar vida, lo que le da tiempo para que el Electrify acabe con nuestras unidades, por lo que es importante considerar el peligro que conlleva las unidades que roben vida o tengan la habilidad carroñero. Halfling Refugee:
The next card we're going to review is particularly special. Many hate it, others love it. I didn't want to review it until I managed to level it up to 3, but I had such a spectacular battle with this card that I wanted to share it with you. Let's see what advantages/disadvantages characterize this card.
La próxima carta que vamos a reseñar a continuación es una particularmente especial, muchos la odian otros la aman. No quería reseñarla hasta lograr subirla a nivel 3 pero tuve una batalla tan espectacvular con esta carta que quise compartirla con ustedes. veamos que ventajas/despentajas caracterízan a esta carta.
Advantages/Ventajas
1. Low Mana Cost/Bajo Coste de Mana
Any card that costs 1 mana is an asset you should take seriously, especially if it's an epic card, as they tend to develop interesting abilities as you level them up. Its low mana cost makes it perfect for 12 or 13 mana battles. But this is just the first advantage this card has.
Toda carta que cueste 1 de mana es un activo que tienes que tomarte en serio y más aún si se trata de una carta épica ya que suelen desarrollar habilidades interesantes a medida que las subes de nivel. Su bajo coste de mana la hacen perfecta para batallas de mana 12 o 13. Pero esta es apenas la primera ventaja que tiene esta carta.
2. High Melee Damage/Alto Daño Melé
This card can act as a sort of mini-tank due to its significant melee damage starting at level 2. This makes it very convenient to place in the vanguard when facing battles with a mana limit of 12/13 or in combats that use the super sneak or equal opportunity rules.
Esta carta puede actuar como una especie de mini tanque por el notable daño melé que hace a partir del nivel 2, esto lo hace muy conveniente para ubicarlo en la vanguardia cuando tienes que enfrentar batallas que tienen un límite de mana de 12/13 o en combates que tengan las reglas super sneak o equal oportunity.
3. High Health/Gran Cantidad de Vida
Another aspect that makes this card a very good tank is its high HP. In fact, many use this card to cover the rear, forcing the opponent to invest several attacks/turns before taking down this card.
Otro aspecto que convierte a esta carta en un muy buen tanque es su gran cantidad de vida, de hecho muchos usan esta carta para cubrir la retaguardia, haciendo que el oponente tenga que invertir varios ataques/turnos antes de derribar esta cartas.
Disadvantages/Desventajas
1. Weary
The major drawback of this card, which makes it unsuitable for use as an offensive unit, is that with each turn, its chance of exhaustion increases by 10%. This affliction prevents this card from attacking and even prevents it from counterattacking if it takes any damage. Because of this condition, many people ignore this card and use it primarily as a decoy.
El gran inconveniente que tiene esta carta y que la hacen poco convenientes para usarla como unidad ofensiva es que con cada turno incrementa en 10% las posibilidades de quedar exhausta. Esta aflicción le impide a esta carta atacar e incluso le impide contratacar si recibe algún tipo de daño, es por esta condición que muchos pasan de largo con esta carta y la usan principalmente como señuelo.
2nd Battle/2da Batalla
Okay, friends, while most people use this card as a decoy or containment unit, we're going to evaluate its potential as an offensive unit since this battle has the equal opportunity ruleset. Our offensive units will be Pelacor Bandit, Tide Bitter, and Cruel Sethropod as tanks, while the Hardy Stonefish/Torrent Fiend units will be the decoys.
Ok amigos, mientras la mayoría usa esta carta como señuelo o contención, nosotros vamos a evaluar su potencial como unidad ofensiva ya que esta batalla tiene la ruleset equal opportunity. Nuestras unidades ofensivas serán Pelacor Bandit, Tide Bitter, Cruel Sethropod como tanque y las unidades Hardy Stonefish/Torrent Fiend serán los señuelos.

⚔️Rounds 1 - 2
In the first two rounds, we can see that the decoys are the first to fall. Our greatest challenge will be taking out Bakjira due to his enormous health and healing ability, while we'll be easy targets for Dr. Blight, who, being invisible, cannot attack him.
En los 2 primeros round, podemos ver que los primeros en caer son los señuelos. Nuestra mayor dificultad será dar de baja a Bakjira por su enorme cantidad de vida y su capacidad de sanarse mientras seremos blanco fácil del Dr. Blight que al ser invisible no podemos atacarlo.
Rounds 3-5
It took us the full 3 and 4 rounds to finally take out Bakjira. This match was undoubtedly a lucky one, as the Halfling Refugee didn't fall from exhaustion, and Dr. Blight didn't apply his poison to any of his targets. In the end, it was the Halfling Refugee who delivered the final blow to the Dr., sealing the victory.
Requerimos de los round 3 y 4 completos para finalmente darle de baja a Bakjira, esta partida fue sin duda de mucha suerte ya que por un lado Halfling Refugee no cayó exhausto y por el otro que Dr. Blight no aplicó su veneno a ninguno de sus objetivos. Al final, fue Halfling Refugee quien le dio el golpe de gracia al Dr. sellando la victoria.
Well, friends, this concludes this first part of the Rebellion reward cards. Shock Trooper at level 3 becomes an indispensable card, and it's worth the risk to have it in your lineup as long as you can reach high health levels. On the other hand, Halfling Refugee is simply a risky play with its Weary ability. It's best to use it as a decoy or a holding tank in the vanguard, since waiting for it to attack is such a high risk that it can cost you the game. See you in the next epic card review. Y bien amigos, asi concluímos esta primera parte de las cartas rewards Rebellion. Shock Trooper en nivel 3 se convierte en una carta indispensable y que vale la pena el riesgo tenerla en tu alineación siempre y cuando puedas alcanzar altas cotas de vida. Por otro lado Halfling Refugee es simplemente una jugada arriesgada con su habilidad Weary, lo mejor es utilizarlo como señuelo o tanque de contención en la vanguardia ya que esperar que ataque es un riesgo tan alto que puede costarte la partida.
