What's up citizens of Praetoria! Welcome to my post for the community engagement challenge event. This time, we're invited to overcome the ruleset rumble with our favorite lineups. It's great for me since I recently returned to the Wild format and have been experimenting with new lineups with the latest reward cards available in the Glint Store. So, let's get started.

Les doy la bienvenida a mi publicación en el evento del community engagement challenge, en esta ocasión somos convocados a superar las ruleset rumble con nuestras alineaciones favoritas, para mi es genial ya que recientemente he retomado el formato wild y he estado experimentando nuevas alineaciones con las más recientes cartas rewards que se pueden comprar en la tienda de glints. Así que comencemos.
⚔️ Ruleset: Fog of War
Fog of War is one of those rulesets I've really enjoyed, as I've typically used it to design evasion-based strategies. My favorite cards for those strategies are Coeurl Lurker, Nightmare, and Voidmaw, since they can dodge not only melee and ranged attacks, but also magical ones. With good speed boosts and debuffing the enemy, they're capable of dodging anything.

The weakness of that strategy is that it relies exclusively on the effectiveness of those cards to evade attacks, so summoners like Jaceck and Kitty are a real problem to deal with. So, I've been reconfiguring my strategies with this ruleset, incorporating the new Rebellion Rewards cards, which are better balanced and integrate much better with the Chaos Legion cards.
La debilidad de esa estrategia es que depende exclusivamente de la efectividad de esas cartas para evadir los ataques, por tanto invocadores como Jaceck y Kitty son un verdadero problema con los cuales lidiar. Asi que he ido reconfigurando mis estrategias con esta ruleset con las nuevas cartas Rebellion rewards que están mejor balanceadas y se integran muccho mejor con las Chaos Legion.
Therefore, the battle I want to share with you in this post is a new strategy I've been applying in ranked battles and brawls when the Fog of War rule appears. Unlike my evasive lineups, this one is a lineup focused primarily on demolishing the enemy vanguard in the first turns.
Por tanto, la batalla que quiero compartirte en este post es una nueva estrategia que he estado aplicando en las batallas ranked y brawls cuando aparece la regla fog of war, que a diferencia de mis alineaciones evasivas, esta es una alineación enfocada principalmente a demoler la vanguardia enemiga en los primeros turnos.

We're starting with a 38-mana limit battle, the Armored Up ruleset, Fog of War, and Fire, Water, Earth, and Death Splinters. As I mentioned before, our strategy this time will be completely focused on attack, and in this context, of all the available classes, the most aggressive and effective is the Water class.
Partimos de una batallas con límite de mana de 38, la ruleset armored up, fog of war y los splinters de fuego, agua, tierra y muerte. Como mencioné antes, nuestra estrategia en esta ocasión será una completamente volcada al ataque, y en este contexto de todas las clases disponibles la más agresiva y efectiva es la clase agua.

🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Possibilus the Wise
Without a doubt, the Water class was the most powerful during CL/RW. Summoners like Kelya Frendul were the terror of the meta alongside Lux Vega. However, with the introduction of Soulbound cards, summoners like Possibilus gained greater importance in melee battles. This is mainly due to two abilities: Reach, where any melee unit you place in the second position can now attack the vanguard, and second, the Trample ability, which allows you to execute a second attack if you eliminate your initial target. Clearly these are 2 offensive skills and will be the key to achieving victory.
Sin duda que la clase agua fue la más poderosa durante CL/RW, invocadores como Kelya Frendul fueron el terror del meta junto a Lux Vega, pero con la introducción de las cartas soulbound invocadores como Possibilus adquirieron un mayor peso en las batallas melé, esto se debe a 2 habilidades principalmente: Reach donde ahora cualquier unidad melé que pongas en la segunda posición podrá atacar la vanguardia, y segundo la habilidad trample que te permite ejecutar un segundo ataque si eliminas a tu objetivo inicial. Claramente estas son 2 habilidades ofensivas y serán la clave para lograr la victoria.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Commander Slade
Commander Slade is undoubtedly the ultimate tank that Kelya/Lux and Possibilus always needed. Although he is a mana-intensive tank, his stats are excellent, and the reason I think he outperforms other tanks like Diemonshark or Arkemis is his Enfeeble ability, which reduces the tank's melee damage, and his Dodge ability, which makes this unit a difficult target to hit.
Commander Slade es sin duda el tanque definitivo que siempre necesitaron Kelya/Lux y Possibilus, aunque es un tanque costoso de mana, sus estadísticas son excelentes y la razón por la que considero que supera a otros tanques como Diemonshark o Arkemis, es su habilidad Enfeeble que le va reduciendo el daño melé al tanque y también su habilidad Dodge que convierte a esta unidad en un blanco difícil de acertar.
👾 Coastal Sentry
The second fundamental piece of our strategy is Coastal Sentry. This powerful card has the ability to hit twice, and to ensure the damage is felt, it also has the Pierce ability, allowing it to penetrate defenses and annihilate targets. This is necessary to activate the trample that Possibilus grants and maintain pressure on the enemy vanguard.
La segunda pieza fundamental de nuestra estrategia es Coastal Sentry, esta poderosa carta tiene la habilidad de golgear 2 veces y para asegurarse que el daño se haga sentir, tiene también la habilidad Pierce por lo que puede atravesar las defensas y aniquilar objetivo. Esto es necesario para activar el trample que confiere Possibilus y mantener la presión sobre la vanguardia enemiga.
👾 Clockwork Aide
The only weak point I've seen when using Possibilus is speed, if the opponent uses a lineup with high speed or evasion skills, our strategy will be compromised, to avoid this, we use Clockwork Aide, a card without attack but that increases our speed by +1 and also reduces enemy defenses by -2. Now, the main problem with this card is that although it has good defense, its low life makes it vulnerable to attacks from opportunists, so we will place this card in the 3rd position.
El único punto débil que he visto al usar Possibilus es la velocidad, si el oponente utiliza una alineación con alta velocidad o habilidades de evasión, nuestra estrategia se verá comprometida, para evitar esto, usamos a Clockwork Aide una carta sin ataque pero que aumenta nuestra velocidad en +1 y además reduce las defensas enemigas en -2. Ahora bien, el principal problema de esta carta es que si bien tiene buena defensa, su baja vida lo hace vulnerable a los ataques de oportunistas por lo que ubicaremos esta carta en la 3era posición.
👾 Igor Darkspear
We've already consumed a good portion of our available mana, but with 2 points, we'll use a strategic unit: Igor Darkspear. This 2-mana card has good speed, but more importantly, its ability to stun the target, thus hindering its offensive capabilities.
Ya hemos consumido buena parte de nuestro mana disponible pero con 2 puntos usaremos una unidad estratégica: Igor Darkspear. Esta carta de 2 de mana tiene una buena velocidad, pero más importante es su habilidad para aturdir el objetivo y así entorpecer sus capacidades ofensivas.
👾 Wave Brood
Wave Brood is a decoy unit, our vanguard is susceptible to magic attacks, so we will use this card to attract the first enemy attacks and ensure that our first attack will have a full effect, also having the void ability can resist magic attacks so it will need several turns to be able to take it down.
Wave Brood es una unidad de señuelo, nuestra vanguardia es suceptiple a ataques mágicos, por ello usaremos esta carta para atraer los primeros ataques enemigos y asegurarnos de que nuestro primer ataque tendrá un efecto total, además al tener la habilidad vacío puede resistir los ataques mágicos por lo que necesitará varios turnos para poderle dar de baja.
👾 Torrent Fiend
Finally, we'll round out our lineup with Torrent Fiend. If the opponent has sneak/opportunistic units that can quickly take out our decoy, this card will buy us some time to execute our attacks.
Finalmente cerraremos nuestra alineación con Torrent Fiend, si el oponente tiene unidades sneak/oportunistas que eliminen rápidamente a nuestro señuelo, esta carta nos dará algo de tiempo para ejecutar nuestros ataques.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
Once the battle is sent, we can see the enemy lineup, and it turned out to be one of the most complicated: Almo as the main tank, his evasion rate is quite high, and since all my offensive power is focused on the first position, everything will depend on the odds. Fortunately, Commander Slade and Coastal Sentry have high speed, and considering they're also buffed by Clockwork Aide, we may very well have a chance.
Una vez enviada la batalla podemos ver la alineación enemiga y resultó ser una de las más complicadas: Almo como tanque principal, su taza de evasión es bastante elevada y como toda mi potencia ofensiva esta enfocada hacia la primera posición, todo dependerá de las probabilidades. Afortunadamente Commander Slade & Coastal Sentry tienen altas cotas de velocidad, si consideramos que también están bufeadas por Clockwork Aide, es muy posible que tengamos una oportunidad.

💥Round 1 & 2💥
In the first round, although I managed to land a few attacks on Almo, he was quickly healed by the goblin, so I took most of the damage at the end of the first round. However, I at least left his tank with 10 HP, enough for Commander Slade to weaken him and Coastal Sentry to deliver the finishing blow needed to trample and weaken the Magi of Chaos. Although we lost our decoy at the end of the second round, the damage was done; the remaining enemy units were dangerously exposed to our overwhelming melee attack.
En el primer round aunque logré asestar algunos ataques a Almo fue rápidamente sanado por el goblin, asi que la mayor parte del daño me la llevé yo al final del primer round, pero al menos dejé a su tanque con 10 puntos de vida suficiente para que Commander Slade lo debilitara y Coastal Sentry le diera el golpe de gracia necesario para activar trample y debilitar al Magi of Chaos. Aunque al final del 2do round perdimos a nuestro señuelo, el daño ya esta hecho, el resto de las unidades enemigas están peligrosamente expuestas a nuestro avasallante ataque melé.
💥Round 3 - 5💥
It took Commander Slade to weaken the Magi of Chaos for Coastal Sentry to not only finish him off but, taking advantage of the trample, also manage to eliminate the Psychic Goblin. In the fourth round, the same process is repeated; Salde leaves the Venari Seedsmith at death's door, allowing Coastal to eliminate him and finish him off with the gladius Jini Guise, leaving our opponent with Supply Runner, who can only wait to be eliminated in the 5th round. Victory!
Bastó con que Commander Slade debilitara al Magi of Chaos para que Coastal Sentry no sólo lo terminara de despachar sino que aprovechando el trample también se las arreglo para eliminar al Goblin Psychic. En el 4to round se repite el mismo proceso; Salde deja a las puertas de la muerte al Venari Seedsmith pata que Coastal lo elimine y remate acabando con la gladius Jini Guise, dejando únicamente a nuestro oponente con Supply Runner que ya solo le queda esperar ser eliminado en el 5to round. Victoria!
🌊 Conclusions/Conclusiones
- I've had a blast playing Posibilus and Commander Slade + Coastal Sentry whenever the Fog of War ruleset comes up. These two cards' damage output is so high that it sometimes doesn't matter if your opponent has a healer in their lineup. If you're quick enough to land the first hits, you can easily obliterate the tank in front of you, so be sure to deflect enemy attacks with a good decoy like Wave Bod or Coeurl Lurker.
- Con Posibilus y Commander Slade + Coastal Sentry me he divertido a lo grande siempre que aparece la ruleset Fog of War. Es tan alto el daño que estas 2 cartas hacen que a veces es irrelevante si el oponente tiene un sanador en su alineación. Si eres lo suficientemente rápido para dar los primeros golpes podrás obliterar sin mayor problema el tanque que tengas al frente, so asegúrate de desviar los ataques enemigos con un buen señuelo como Wave Bood o Coeurl Lurker.
With this, I conclude my participation in this community engagement challenge, friends. This challenge coincided pleasantly with my return to the Wild format, where most of my most powerful cards are found and where I've been able to create the most strategies, so I really enjoyed this challenge.
