Greetings, valued Splinterlands and Hivers community! Welcome to my participation in this week's community engagement challenge, which, to my delight, involves sharing our favorite combo in a Ranked Battle. The new card release has brought a huge number of possibilities that allow for the design of truly interesting lineups/combos, and in this post, I want to share my favorite combination with the Fire class.

Les doy la bienvenida a mi participación en el community engagement challenge de esta semana que para mi alegría se trata de compartir nuestro combo favorito en una batalla clasificatoria. La nueva aparición de cartas ha traído una enorme cantidad de posibilidades que permiten el diseño de alineaciones/combos realmente interesantes y en este post quiero compartirte mi combinación favorita con la clase fuego.
Why the Fire class?/Porque la clase fuego?
One of the things that frustrated me in the Chaos Legion and Rebellion editions was how uncompetitive the Fire class became. Strictly speaking, I won very few battles with the Fire Splinter. My favorite combos, and I believe the most powerful ones in Wild, are those involving the Archon Possibilus and cards like Coastal Sentry, where the Double Strike and Trample ability create deadly synergy. Katrelba is also a very destructive combo with Dhampir Infiltrator, but ultimately, the Water class has emerged as one of the strongest when it comes to melee battles.
Una de las cosas que me frustró en las ediciones Chaos Legion y Rebellion es lo poco competitivo que se volvió la clase fuego, siendo estrictos ganaba muy pocas batallas con el splinter de fuego. Mis combos favoritos y creo que los más potentes en wild son los que involucran al arconte Possibilus y cartas como Coastal Sentry donde hacen una sinergia mortal el double strike y la habilidad trample. También Katrelba es un combo muy destructivo con Dhampir Infiltrator, pero en última instancia la clase agua se ha impuesto como una de las más fuertes cuando se trata de batallas cuerpo a cuerpo.

**Possibilus the Wise, Coastal Sentry & Katrelba Gobson **
Even so, I never lost hope in developing effective strategies and combos with the Fire class. The recent release of promotional cards added a whole host of tools that gave a new perspective to the Fire class. In this sense, I want to share with you one of the combos I've been polishing for quite some time, making it one of my favorites when I'm sure I won't face a Water Splinter. Let's begin!
Aun así, yo nunca perdí la esperanza en desarrollar estrategias y combos efectivos con la clase fuego. La reciente aparición de cartas promocionales sumó toda una serie de herramientas que le daban una nueva perspectiva a la clase fuego. En este sentido quiero compartirte uno de los combos que he pulido con bastante tiempo, convirtiéndose en una de mis favoritas cuando estoy seguro que no enfrentaré splinter de agua. Comencemos!
🎏⚔️Rules battle/Reglas de batalla
For this battle, we can only use the fire, death, and dragon splinters. The mana limit is 39, and we have three active rulesets: close range and return fire. These are two rules that seemingly contradict each other, but we already know the schizophrenic attacks the game suffers when generating these battles. The most important is that all monsters on the battlefield have +2 defense. Under these conditions, the battle will be decided in two ways: with magic attacks or full melee. In our case, we will use the melee option with the fire class.
Para esta batalla solo podremos utilizar los splinters de fuego, muerte y dragón, el límite de mana es 39 y tenemos activas 3 rulesets: close range y return fire, son 2 reglas que aparentemente se contradicen, pero ya sabemos los ataques de esquizofrenia que sufre el juego al momento de generar estas batallas. La más importante es que todos los monstruos en el campo de batalla tienen +2 de defensa. Bajo estas condiciones el combate se decidirá de 2 formas con ataques mágicos o full melé. En nuestro caso usaremos la opción melé con la clase fuego.
🎴Cards/Cartas
🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Eternan brune
We will deal with that +2 Defense using the summoner Eternan Brune. First, note that this Fire Archon allows us to recruit a Gladiator card on the battlefield. We'll discuss which Gladiator to use later. The important thing is its secondary ability: it has -2 Defense, so we cancel the ruleset in the enemy ranks, allowing us to deal significant damage from the first round.
Lidiaremos con ese +2 de defensa utilizando el invocador Eternan Brune. Primero destacar que este arconte de fuego nos permite reclutar una carta gladiadora en el campo de batalla, ya hablaremos de cual gladiador usaremos, lo importante es su habilidad secundaria: res -2 a la defensa así que anulamos la ruleset en las filas enemigas permitiéndonos hacer un daño importante desde el 1er round.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Tusk the Wide
As I mentioned earlier, with the ruleset for this battle, the most convenient strategies are either magic attacks or melee. With this in mind, we'll use Tusk the Wide as a tank, a powerful wall with a large health pool and two key elements for our strategy: 1. It resists magic attacks, and 2. It gives our team the Inspire ability, which increases melee damage by +1.
Como dije anteriormente, con las ruleset de esta batalla las estrategias más convenientes son ataques mágicos o melé. Teniendo esto en cuenta usaremos como tanque a Tusk the Wide un poderoso muro con gran cantidad de vida y 2 elementos clave para nuestra estrategia: 1. Resiste los ataques mágicos y 2. Le confiere a nuestro equipo la habilidad inspire que aumenta el daño melé en +1.
👾 Mana Warden
Even if Tusk has a high health, a continuous melee attack can knock him down. To reinforce his resistance to melee attacks, we'll use Mana Ward as a support in the second position. This card is so effective that it only needs to be at level 1 to take advantage of its potential. It simply applies the shield ability to the unit in front of it, making the attacker resistant to ranged and melee attacks.
Por más vida que tenga Tusk, un ataque continuado melé puede derribarlo, para reforzar su resistencia a los ataques melé usaremos como apoyo en la segunda posición a Mana Ward. Esta carta es tan efectiva que basta con tenerla en nivel 1 para aprovechar su potencial, simplemente le aplica la habilidad shield a la unidad que se encuentra delante de él haciendo al tanque resistente a los ataques rango y melé.
👾 Ferox Defender
Ferox Defender will be our last support card and will be in charge of offering us more defense in addition to repairing our defenses. From the third position, it is not able to attack anyone, but considering that the opponent can choose to eliminate our defenses, it is best to create redundancy and make sure that our units are well defended.
Ferox Defender será nuestra última carta de apoyo y se encargará de ofrecernos más defensa además de reparar nuestras defensas, desde la tercera posición no es capaz de atacar a nadie pero considerando que el oponente puede optar por eliminar nuestras defensas, lo más conveniente es crear redundancia y asegurarnos que nuestras unidades estén bien defendidas.
👾 Fina Voxom
Well, my favorite combo with the fire class is a lightning attack to the secondary row, and for this I use a battery of high-damage artillerymen. The first piece of our attack line is this wonderful gladiator card: Fina Voxon at level 2. Her damage is not only high, but if she encounters a defense, she can pierce it with her Pierce ability. Lastly, and most importantly, her Bloodlust ability allows her to increase her stats if she manages to kill her targets.
Bien, mi combo favorito con la clase fuego es un ataque relampagueante hacia la fila secundaria y para ello uso una batería de artilleros con alta potencia de daño. La primera pieza de nuestra línea de ataque es esta maravillosa carta gladiadora: Fina Voxon en nivel 2 su daño no solo es alto sino que en el caso de encontrarse con defensa puede atravesarla con la habilidad pierce. Como último aspecto y el más importante es su habilidad bloodlust que le permite aumentar sus estadísticas si logra dar de baja a sus objetivos.
👾 Uraeus
Our second offensive unit is Uraeus, its objective is to attack the last position, the detail of this card is that it has the possibility of affecting its target in 2 ways, the first is the melee attack and the second is the possibility of poisoning the target so by the end of the round it receives +2 damage.
Nuestra segunda unidad ofensiva es Uraeus, su objetivo es atacar la última posición, el detalle de esta carta es que tiene la posibilidad de afectar a su objetivo de 2 maneras, la primera es el ataque melé y la segunda es la posibilidad de envenenar al objetivo así que para el final del round recibe un +2 de daño.
👾 Tenyii Striker
The final unit in our strategy is Tenyii Striker, which also attacks the back position. We placed it in this position because of its high health and high evasion rate, allowing it to deal with a large number of attacks toward the back position.
La última unidad de nuestra estrategia es Tenyii Striker que también ataca la última posición, la ubicamos en esta posición por la gran cantidad de vida y su alta tasa de evasión le puede permitir lidiar una gran cantidad de ataques hacia la última posición.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
Once the battle is sent, we can fully see how our strategy works and how our offensive combo would act. Our strategy is divided into two parts: the first three positions support and reinforce the vanguard against magic, ranged, and melee attacks. Now, the last three positions are our offensive core, which is directed toward the secondary row. The only drawback for now is that our opponent is using a unit that also adds +2 defense, so let's see how this battle develops and evaluate each round how effective our combo is.
Una vez enviada la batalla podemos ver en su totalidad como funciona nuestra estrategia y como actuaría nuestro combo ofensivo. Nuestra esta dividida en 2 partes: las 3 primeras posiciones son el apoyo y refuerzo de la vanguardia contra ataques de magia, rango y melé. Ahora las últimas 3 posiciones son nuestro núcleo ofensivo que esta dirigido hacia la fila secundaria. El único inconveniente por ahora es que nuestro oponente usa una unidad que también suma +2 de defensa, así que veamos como se desarrolla esta batalla y evaluemos en cada round cuán efectivo es nuestro combo.

💥Round 1 & 2💥
We started the battle, and this first round favored us in the first moves, as we destroyed Dhampir Infiltrator with Fina Voxom's first attack, activating Bloodlust. We also weakened and poisoned the Chaos Adjunctant with the combined attack of Tenyii and Uraeus, which poisoned it. This left this enemy unit on the brink of death at the end of the first round. Thus, for the second round, Fina Voxom finished off the Chaos Adjunctant while the Uraeus/Tenyii duo took care of eliminating the Ravenwood Warden and the healer Arachne Weaver.
Comenzamos la batalla y este primer round nos favoreció en los primeros movimientos, pues destrozamos a Dhampir Infiltrator con el primer ataque de Fina Voxom activando el bloodlust, también debilitamos y envenenamos al Chaos Adjuntant con el ataque combinado de Tenyii y Uraeus que lo ha envenenado dejamos a esta unidad enemiga al final del 1er round a las puertas de la muerte. Así, para el segundo round Fina Voxom remata al Chaos Adjuntant mientras el binomio Uraeus/Tenyii se encargar de eliminar al Ravenwood Warden y al sanador Arachne Weaver.
💥Round 3 - 4💥
Already in the 3rd round we managed to eliminate Meriput Slinger leaving only the enemy tank that only needed the combined attack of Fina that completely removed the defense of Ujurak Brave to later be eliminated with the combined attack of Uraeus and Teyii Striker. Victory!
Ya en el 3er round logramos eliminar a Meriput Slinger dejando únicamente al tanque enemigo que solo basto con el ataque combinado de Fina que removió por completo la defensa de Ujurak Brave para posteriormente ser eliminado con el ataque combinado de Uraeus y Teyii Striker. Victoria!
🔥 Conclusions/Conclusiones
- As you can see, out of these three splinters (fire, death, and dragon), the fire class definitely has the advantage; in fact, we didn't suffer any casualties. I normally like to use this combination with Jacek the Conqueror for the high speed it provides and the ability to penetrate defenses, but in this case, I was interested in using Fina Voxom to gain a greater advantage in the battle and avoid having to deal with enemy defenses.
- Como pueden ver básicamente de estos 3 splinters (fuego, muerte y dragón) definitivamente la clase fuego tiene la ventaja, de hecho no sufrimos ninguna baja. Normalmente me gusta usar esta combinación con Jacek the Conqueror por la alta velocidad que confiere y el poder atravesar las defensas, pero en este caso me interesaba utilizar a Fina Voxom para lograr una mayor ventaja en la batalla y no tener que lidiar con las defensas enemigas.
Well, friends, this is one of my favorite combos to use. I won't lie, it's not always effective when you have to face the water splinter; even now in the Modern format, it's still an extremely powerful class. Bien amigos este es uno de los combos que más me gusta aplicar, no les mentiré no siempre es efectivo cuando tienes que enfrentar al splinter de agua, aún ahora en el formato moderno sigue siendo una clase extremadamente poderosa.
