Hello Splinter nerds.
There is going to be an upcoming change to the number of Splinterlands accounts that a scholar can play in tournaments soon, and later on, the same changes will also be applied to the modern rank. It is stated in the announcement channel that scholars and players can only play 2 accounts in a tournament, and the update will be in effect starting from August 15, which is the beginning of the next season.
This is good and bad news, depending on the individual. It is bad news for scholars playing many accounts because it would reduce the amount of sps they earn, while it is good news for scholars who need accounts to play because the investors with many accounts will direct their attention towards them. Their potentials will be noticed and they have a higher chance of securing an account now.
To the Splinterlands ecosystem, it is also good news, as it helps to curb the throwing of matches here and there especially in the big tournaments, you will see 4 draws from 4 accounts played by one player and this most time give them the advantage of moving unto the next round which I know displeases many other players, it also protects the interests of players who want to compete with many others. There is no fun in being paired with 10 accounts played by 1 person; the fun is being paired with accounts played by different players.
Looking forward to the update and seeing new scholars in the arena, I have seen some potential scholars like llobre93 who will do great with a champ account.
I had an amazing battle utilizing the use of the dragon summoner [ Nidhoggr] and the special promo card Heloise The Hollow.
We were given 2 rules, which indicate that only odd mana monsters can be used, and no range attack is allowed.
The opponent and I used the dragon splinter to summon the death monsters, but our choice of summoner was different; I used Nidhoggr with its blast and Deathblow
while the opponent used Akane
plus its ambush stat.
The mana cap was 60, so we have the chance to come up with giant monsters. Here is my formation below and why I used them.

Mantaroth was my tank. Its mission was to defend against the opponent tank, since I know all the other monsters from the opponent team will direct their attack to my monster with the taunt ability. Umbral Elemental was the second monster in my team and the first taunt monster I used. It has a Deflection Shroud
which protects Mantaroth from any debuffs or any attempt to take away his armor permanently.

Barashkukor was my third monster and it was adjacent Umbral
so it benefitted from the deflection shroud
too, it has Fury
ability so it helped to quickly eliminate the opponent taunt, Venka was my fourth monster and benefitted from the blast of the summoner I used and he did amazing well in destroying the opponent team.
Here comes Heloise the Hollow, the main monster in the battle. I also gave her the blast ability. The first monster she eliminated was Baron Fyatt
and the moment Venka attacked and eliminated her, her Spite
ability was triggered, and she dealt a heavy blow to Venka, which eliminated both Venka and the monster beside it.. Barashkukor ended the battle defeating the last monster standing on the opponent team.
