🐲 Brawl Report 🐲

I had my first losing record in a while last Brawl 😔 With only four battles scheduled this brawl I was going to have to use the Cobra Kai mantra and strike first and hard to get back to the winning ways. Hopefully this was an aberration and next Brawl offers me some more battles because I really enjoy Brawl battles 🤷‍♂

Tarsa v. Tar

This was not a lineup I think I've ever played. I know better than to force a Grum/Chimney pairing just because I like seeing them on the battlefield together. Well, apparently I don't know well enough because I was crushed by a Tarsa two levels lower than me 😞 I also don't often play Scavo with Tarsa, but for some unknown reason thought it was the right play.

CARD	WHY DID I CHOOSE IT?
	Grum is one of my favorites for the high attack, armor, Void and Bloodlust.
	The ability to attack from the second position, high health, high melee attack and Bloodlust make this card another of my favorites.
	With two big beefy cards in front my hope was to keep them fighting longer
	Free protection in the back row.

Where did I go Wrong?

I forced a Grum/Chimney combo when the mana count was just off to make it work. A few less mana and my opponent wouldn't have been able to get enough firepower deployed and a few more and I would have been able to offer the combo better protection and assistance. Honestly just about any other combination that I could have chosen would have guaranteed me a victory. The kicker is I could have done it without using all of the mana available. The lesson, as I should have learned by now, is don't force cards just because I like to play them, or they are capable of doing a lot of damage.

Grum doesn't even need the full 28 mana	But using all the mana doesn't hurt 😀	Chimney can win without all the mana too

This felt like a strange Brawl. I played some lineups that strayed from my norm and the amount of battles was down. I was hoping to get back on the positive side of the winning percentage, but I will take the .500 with how I felt after entering my teams. Maybe this will be the silly losses I learn my lesson and play to the mana count and rulesets, but probably not 😀

The better news is we placed fifth and had a total of 114 points as a Guild. From the chatter in the Tavern a lot of guild mates weren't happy with their performance, but we are getting stronger with each passing brawl and I think we should all be proud of where we are at.
