I got extremely lucky today and wanted to share the experience with all of you. I was playing Splinterlands earlier and decided to check how many Dice packs were left for sale in the official shop when I realized that I had one pack purchased several months ago. I had totally forgotten about it and in that time there were two airdrops. I wasn't expecting anything because I hadn't ever gotten any of the previous pack-based airdrops from Untamed edition and this time I only has a single entry. The chances of getting anything were very slim. Imagine my surprise when I got this:
A Gold Foil edition Legendary rarity "Lensmaster" card! 50k DEC burn value and cheapest one on the market right now is around $160. There are currently only 34 of these in circulation. I would have to say this is the luckiest draw I've ever gotten in this game!
For all of the minnows out there grinding away trying to build up their accounts by playing, I hope this shows that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get the good cards. Persistence and a bit of luck will get you far in this game. Most of my collection has been built up through play-to-earn and reinvesting everything I earn in the game back into my collection. I haven't spent very much money but have managed to accumulate a competitive deck that I'm proud of, largely through playing lots of ranked battles and tournaments. You can do it too!
