The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Even Stevens & Earthquake
- Mana Cap - 17
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Tarsa

- With the ruleset, mana cap and element pick that I got I really did not have a lot of options to pick from
- I knew I had to play some Flying monsters but as the mana cap was super low I really did not have any so I was quite lost at this point
- I decided to play one strong Flying monster and couple of low mana damage dealers in the back
- So in my case I went with fire element and Tarsa as my summoner just because I knew my whole team was going to be melee based and Tarsa with his +1 melee damage and +1 hp was best suit for it
1st Position: Gargoya Lion

- Gargoya Lion was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Gargoya Lion here a lot is his Flying ability
- Even tho Gargoya Lion was quite high mana cost I still played him as I knew I needed someone strong with Flying in front of my team
- Also he had the Void ability which hopefully would come handy when it comes to play enemies team
- Flying - +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake
- Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Parasitic Growth

- Parasitic Growth was my first non Flying monster for this team
- The idea for the rest of my team was that if my enemy decided to play Flying monsters to the backline they could take them down before they themselves fall to Earthquake damage
- And if my enemy should go with non Flying monsters to the backline they just needed to damage them enough so Earthquake could end them off
- Opportunity - Targets the enemy unit with the least health
3rd Position: Kobold Miner

- Next up was another backline attacking low mana cost monster
- The same applies to him as Parasitic Growth
- And the reason why I played two non Flying monsters to Earthquake battle was that I simple did not have low mana cost Flying monsters
- And with 4hp they both would get two 3 melee damage attacks off which was hopefully going to be enough to take down my enemies backline
- Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit
4th Position: Furious Chicken

- And for last but not least was one scary chicken of course
- The simple idea for him was that he could tank a single hit if my enemies decides to play backline attacking monsters
- And the reason why I did not play him in front was that if my enemy played a Gladius monster he would possible get an easy takedown/stack from me making the battle much harder
Starting board

- After seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because I managed to get so many of my picks right when it comes to the matchup I was facing
- Firstly my enemy played 3 magic monsters and I had Void in the front
- Secondly I played two backline attacking monsters to take down his only Flying monster
- And for last I placed my Furious Chicken in the back so my enemy could not get an easy takedown with his Bloodlust monster
- But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st Round

- After the first round my board was still looking as strong as in the start
- While my enemy had lost 2 of his monsters already
- The only scary thing was that his gladius monster was racking up some serious hp
- Anything could still happen so lets keep watching
2nd Round

- After 2nd Round the board was looking quite promising but then I realized that the Earthquake damage was still coming
- That meant everyone except my Flying monster was going to take 2 damage
- Ending off both of my low mana monsters and my enemies gladius monster
- So now I just needed to wait for the start of the 3rd round and let the Earthquake damage take down my enemies last standing monster
3rd Round

- It only took the Earthquake damage to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After his Helmet Kharafax had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely closer than I would have wanted but still fun to watch
- Not really a strategy to take away from this battle because I really did get lucky with my picks and what my enemy played
- But thats how Splinterlands sometimes goes, you try to predict what your enemy might play and hope it works out in your favor
