The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Stampede & Heavy Hitters
- Mana Cap - 25
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Thaddius Brood

- With the ruleset and element pick that I got I sadly did not have a lot to choose from
- Firstly I felt like going as Fire but then I looked at the mana cap and realized that Death element was the one I had to go with
- I did not have Trampled in non of the possible element making the Stampede ruleset useless for me
- But on the other hand I had a low mana Stun monster in Death element so this was one huge reason why I went with Thaddius Brood
- Also as most of the players in my rank do not have a lot of different cards Thaddius Brood -1 magic monster was hopefully going to debuff 1/3 to 1/2 of my enemies team and the -1 hp is always nice to have going into all kinds of battles
1st Position: Halfling Refugee

- Halfling Refugee was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Halfling Refugee here a lot is how many stats you get for only 1 mana
- The reason why you do get so many stats for only 1 mana is his self harm ability Weary
- Even tho this ability harms my rest of the team I still played him as I felt like he was going to get taken down real fast anyway and the ability does not have the time to really effect my team
- Weary - At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate
2nd Position: Shadow Snitch

- Shadow Snitch was my secondary tank for this battle
- The main reason I played him here was his high stats, great ability and because I felt like I needed a second tank for my team
- As I played only 1 mana cost first position monster the rest of my team was all able to be 4 mana cost which was amazing as I had quite good monsters all at 4 mana cost
- Reach - Can use melee attacks from the second position
3rd Position: Dark Arborist

- Now starts my magic and ranged monsters lineup
- Dark Arborist was an amazing monster to play in this battle for two huge reasons
- One being his Demoralize ability making my enemies melee monsters also weaker
- And the other was his Magic Reflect and high hp making him an excellent pick in this type of ruleset battle where only two elements are open and my enemy is kind of forced to play some kind of magic monster
- Demoralize - -1 melee power to all enemy units
- Magic Reflect - Returns 50% of damage to attacker (rounded up) when hit by a magic attack
4th Position: Revealer

- Now comes my crown piece of this team
- As Heavy Hitters was active playing Revealer with Stun was a must
- Also he kind of had decent stats but I really felt like my enemy would probably play Thaddius Brood also with his -1 magic damage making my Revealer 1 damage magic monster for 4 mana
- In that light it kind of seems like a bad pick but I was only after her Stun ability
- Stun - 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate
5th Position: Ravenhood Warden

- Next up is possible one of my favorite low mana cap battle cards ever
- The reason was his amazing Protect ability
- In a low mana cap battle playing Protect gives your entire team the little buff you might need to win your battles as for only 4 mana your entire team gets tankier
- Also being a 4 mana ranged monster Ravenhood Warden was kind of slapping in the stats apartment
- Protect - +2 armor to all allied units
6th Position: Venari Bonesmith

- Last but not least was my backline tank Venari Bonesmith
- Not really a tank from the start but had the ability to gain some hp with his Life Leech ability
- From stock he had 1 magic damage which was kind of sad for 4 mana cost monster but I really did not care as I felt like my enemy might play Thaddius Brood as his summoner and because my Venari Bonesmith also had the Poison ability making him a possible huge damage dealer
- Life Leech - Increases health and max health by 50% of damage dealt (rounded up)
- Poison - 50% chance to apply Poisoned after a successful attack. Poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round
Starting board

- After seeing the starting board it looked really cool as I had full regular foil cards and my enemy had full gold foil cards
- That aside I was little scared as my enemies team seemed a little stronger than mine
- But one the bright side I still had my Stun and Protect abilities which make my team a lot more strong than it looks right now
- The only way to find out which way the battle was going to go was to start the battle and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st & 2nd Round

- After first two rounds the board was starting to open up a little
- I had lost my first tank and over half of the hit points on my second tank
- But on the good side my enemy had lost two of him strongest melee monsters
- Now looking at the board I felt really confident about my chances of winning to battle
- But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
3rd Round

- After the 3rd Round I was 100% sure this battle was going my way
- My enemy only had one decent monster left while I had 3
- In the next round one of my monster was going to fall but hopefully so was my enemies and after he falls my enemy is left standing with two monster who both are kind of useless
- Lets hope for the best and keep watching
4th Round

- Now the battle was 100% confirmed and the only thing I needed to do was to take down his last two monsters and the victory would be mine
- As far as my team goes I still had two magic monsters and 1 ranged monster left meaning the battle was not even close
- Now I just needed to wait for the start of the next and hopefully final round and then face my victory
5th Round

- It took me 2 attacks to kill my enemies last standing monsters
- After his Weirding Warrior Corpse Spawn had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
- The strategy to take away from this battle is to use the rulesets to your advantage like I did in this battle with the Heavy Hitters and Stun
- Also that the Protect ability in low mana cap battles is if not must then just really really good as you get 12 armor in a case of full board
